Before I got this carpet cleaner, I bought the cordless Bissell Spot Lifter. I sent the Spot Lifter back because it would work only 5 minutes before you had to recharge the battery (12 hours). Even though Little Green isn't cordless, it is small and lightweight and works incredibly well.

We had old pet stains on our cream colored carpeting and since we got the Little Green, we've been able to get all of them up from the carpet. Whenever our dog creates other messes, we're able to take the cleaner out right away and clean it up without having to go through too many steps to get the Little Green ready for use. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those with pets and small children -I don't know why I didn't get this months before -its made a huge difference in the look of our carpet and well worth the price.

As others have stated it works well when it works. I was really happy with the way it cleaned. I especially liked the turbo brush. But when I went to use it for only the second time the sprayer wouldn't work a frequent complaint I understand. You don't have to be particularly handy to fix it. You need a screw driver, a pair of pliers and a paper clip. Unplug the machine. Take the four screws from the top out. Pull the top up. Underneath you will see a black box with 4 screws undo. Underneath the cover is heater box. Lift up and undo the 5 screws on the bottom. You will see what is causing the problem. You don't need to disconnect the wires. Release the clamps holding the plastic tubes with the pliers and gently remove the tubes. Use the paper clip, opened, to clean out the holes in the heater. It did not take long at all.

Folks, it isn't so much a design flaw, rather its as much a problem with the chemistry. Jets only get clogged if soap solutions are too concentrated, the water used is dirty, or some chemistry conspires to build up lime or sludge.

I have a proheat clearview upright... used it for over 3 years now. Noticed the spray wasn't as zippy for the past two years as I seemed to recall when we first bought it. Tonight, it wouldn't spray at all. Thought: bad belt, but the belt was fine. Thought: clogged sprayers (these are a bit larger than on your model), but they both were fine. Traced the lack of pressure all the way to the heater block in the neck of the beast. Called Bissell and a really nice rep kindly told me they aren't allowed to sell me that heater block. Something about insurance (blame your neighbors who are all to happy to sue at the drop of a hat -none of us here are that shallow, are we?)

Anyway -one of you told the story of the repair guy taking the heater apart. I never would have thought they made the thing servicable -but sure enough! I removed the heater carefully, marking all of the wire colors and which hose was which, flipped it over to find 7 screws holding a bottom plate. Carefully removed them so as not to damage the silicon seal or the 5 littel o-rings, took a toothbrush and scrubbed the soap goo out of the channels... one of the nozzles was choked closed, but a pipe cleaner and some patience got it looking nearly new. Carefully screwed it back together, tightening evenly -rebuilt the beast and it's cleaning like it hasn't in years. Probably piss off Bissell service shops by telling this, but maybe the handier of you will benefit.

Honest reviews on BISSELL Little Green ProHeat Turbo Carpet Cleaner, 1425B

After doing my research into carpet cleaners, I bought the bissell little green pro heat thinking that it looked like a great product. The heating option sounded great to me, hot water meant cleaner results right? Well, After having it for only one year, I have had to have it REPAIRED THREE TIMES! And after getting to watch the repairman take it apart and fix it he showed me exactly what was wrong with it. There is a metal box that the water passes through to heat it and if you use any soap in the water, the soap gets too hot and gums it up. Whe the repairman opened this box up, it was full of jelly like goo. This clogs up the sprayer, and you get no spray. It has to be taken completly apart to be fixed. It is VERY FRUSTRAITING! This happened three times to me, even after making sure I used only clean, filtered, plain water. The repairman said that he has had to repair several with the same problem. I suggest you buy another brand, or one without the heater. It has only been a source of frustration!

My husband is not the "chore type" so when he came home with this machine and set it up, I assumed he would leave it for me to do the actual work of cleaning up the many spots on our carpet. Imagine my surprise when he spent the next hour on his knees searching out every little stain and spill he could find in our four bedroom house -and attacking it. It truly is satisfying to see those stains disappear (even the oldest ones) with so little effort. For some time, I had been loath to call the carpet cleaners, since all they really do is pitch unwanted services, and, since their last visit, we had owned two dogs in rapid succession. You can imagine. Then there was the miracle it worked on the carpet areas of my minivan that aren't covered by mats. It even got the red drink up. I'm sold!

Bought this heater through Northern tool. It functions well and really puts out the heat. It's a small unit and really easy to move around the house where heating is needed. I like the removable fuel tank and the ignition system.

Smells just a little bit upon start up and shutdown, but other that that, it really burns clean and almost odor free. Use only fresh K1 kerosene in this heater, dry burn the wick once every 5 tanks of fuel and the wick should last you 3-4 heating seasons. Just make sure your kerosene does not have water in it. A trick I learned a long time ago is to add 1/2 tsb of ISO-HEET fuel line deicer and water remover to each gallon of kerosene. The Iso-HEET alcohol will absorb any water and burn it off without messing up the wicks ability to wick up the kerosene.

Got it for $89 bucks + shipping from Amazon. Arrived, very timely. Does everything it says it does, but gives off a fair amount of fumes. Would work great for a garage, workshop, or emergency use, but can't see how you can use it "semi-regularly" in your house. A carbon monoxide detector is a must. It's "fair". Update: After the initial break-in period, there's no smell at all. My CO detector says "zero". Heats my entire 1 bedroom apartment great. I recommend this heater. Next time, I'll be more patient when reviewing something!

REally a reliable heater. Mine burns all night without a problem. Starts eazy and love the new no break started plug instead of the little wire that brakes on most ignighters. Burn wick time is cut in 1/2.You can't fill tank without putting it out first-real saftey feature. No kero smell during, after burning. or shutting off. Miles knows his stuff, we all know who miles is by now.

Honest reviews on Sengoku CTN-110 KeroHeat 10,000 BTU Portable Radiant Kerosene

I purchased this heater as a backup in case power is off for a extended time.

I purchased kerosene at a local gas station, undyed was $4 a gal. (here in TN.) Local WMart sells kero for $10 a gal.

I like the removable tank, seems well made. filled it up, let sit for about a hr. (per instructions) and lit it up outside to burn off any residues. brought it in and adjusted flame to lowest setting, no flames on top.

the heater puts off a nice amount of heat, for it's size. and no stinky smells like heaters I used many years ago. I like it!

I'll post a pic of what my cat thinks about it.

I got the LAN095HV (replaced by a newer model with almost the same model number)

These are good units. I will buy more.

Bought mine from AirConditioner.com a couple of years ago. It is cheap to run, 19 SEER I think.

This one require 220volt power.

Here is more info... http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1273258597705/30013_PROD_FILE.pdf

I did the install and had the HVAC guy do the final hook-up and charge the system with freon.

Took him an hour or so.

One of the things about it I don't like is whenever you make an adjustment with the remote

it beeps and turns on a blue light on the unit up on the wall.

Not good when partner is asleep.

Looked thru the owners manual and online; anyone know how to turn off light and beep?

I bought this unit which has yet to be installed as I just found out it requires an outdoor unit to work. Buyer beware! This unit is designed to hook up to another outdoor unit -it is not self-contained. I did find the outdoor unit for around $900 from pexsupply, but the 9000 btu model has been discontinued so there are only a few left out there. Hope this review help others avoid my stupid mistake.

I've had this unit for three years and it is extremely efficient and works great until it doesn't. Both the inside and outside pcb electronic boards have been replaced and when they fail they are hard to get. LG has terrible customer service and parts support.

Oh, and LG doesn't offer a labor warranty so make sure you have a reputable installer who'll give you a decent warranty if you decide to buy an LG unit.

I didn't buy my unit from amazon.

Hard to find a better direct-wire wall timer of this quality. HOWEVER, this is the third one I have purchased so be warned that they will eventual ware out. The timer will eventual stop counting down and get stuck, leaving your device always on. I have mine hooked to turn off a wall heater in the bathroom. It works well for that. NOTE: Even though it will eventual ware out, they usually last a few years before they do. So yes, they are worth the price. BE WARNED: If the start waring out replace immediately as they will get stuck in the ON position... Thus, 4 stars.

Works fine. Easy to install. Some reviews talk about not fitting wall plates. Designed for the plate supplied to fit over the existing plate so plate supplied is over sized for a reason.

I read the reviews before buying this product and one review said it made loud nose as dial turns.. and s/he is completly right. The noise it makes is pretty loud.. I would NOT recommend this for the bedroom if you are going to use it as some type of sleep timer b/c the noise will bother you. However, I have this installed on my storage room in the kitchen, so the noise is not an issue.

I wanted a timer to shut off lights in a master closet. I first tried an electronic version but I had interference with some other home automation devices so I resorted to this older spring-wound technology. Simple, works perfectly. This spring wound timer worked as advertised and would be perfect for bathroom fans as well.

This was the best purchase I have made in a long time. It works so much better than I had expected. I have two young kids (4 years, 7 months) and a Golden Retriever, so you can imagine how many spills take place at my house. The Turbo Brush really works great on muddy paw prints and spilled juice. I also use it to clean all the accidents that happen in my car. It is very easy to use (just add cleaning solution to the clean water and you're ready to go). It also heats the water/cleaning solution for better cleaning. This is a must have for everyone with kids or pets. I have owned other brands of cleaners before, but from here on out I am a Bissell Buyer!

The brush works pretty well but the vaccum is weak. However, my main problem is that the sprayer stopped working after about 6 months.

When I researched for possible solutions, I found that other users (from epinion reviews) had similiar problems with Bissell cleaners. Apparently the spraying units are poorly designed which means that the users need to run clean water through the sprayer after every use so that the cleaning fluids do not gum up the spraying mechanism. This information is not on the manual and was apparently given by a service repair technian.

The repair cost is about what this unit costs new.

I really wish that I did my research before I bought this unit as it's now useless.

Best Deals on BISSELL 17251 Little Green ProHeat Carpet Cleaner with Turbo Brush

This vacuum is poorly designed for cleaning up the spills I encounter. The cleaning solution gets out the stains pretty well, but the suction of the vacuum is not powerful enough to remove the liquid from the carpet effectively. Also, the opening of the vacuum is small, so small particles of dirt, hair, etc get stuck and make the suction even worse. The attachments are not very useful and the machine is heavy to lug around. The vacuum is considerably loud as well, which gets irritating when it takes five or ten minutes to clean up the smallest spot.

Cleaning the machine itself is also difficult. Particles stuck at the opening of the vacuum can be cleaned by removing a plastic part, but this part is hard to remove and there are grooves the dirt gets caught in that makes them hard to remove. It is a challenge to really clean out the dirty water tank--the design makes it very hard to scrub the sides and bottom, where dirt tends to collect.

A paper towel and some seltzer water is almost always more effective and faster than this vacuum. This machine has become just another item in my donate pile.

Honest reviews on BISSELL 17251 Little Green ProHeat Carpet Cleaner with Turbo Brush

We purchase ours 5 years ago @ Target after adopting a new puppy I don't know how we could have lived w/o it. (We have 2 long haired dogs & 2 persian cats in addition to any foster animals) Since I volunteer w/the local animal shelter, I reccomend it to everyone who adopts puppies as well as doggy foster parents.

There are some things to know though buying this doesn't mean you can forgo daily vaccuming and annual carpet shampooing. (We get it done twice a year) The Little green machince is great for quick spot cleaning but don't expect it to work miracles if the "accident" has been sitting for a day. It should be cleaned after every use *never* store it w/ dirty water or the smell is unbearable! We run hot, hot water through after every use (keeps solution from clogging) and rinse the dirty water container with bleach to kill odors. (Just be sure to rinse it throughly before using it again!) As for leaking, we haven't had a problem, so I can't answer that problem.

One thing I've found helpful is pouring salt (Morton's straight out of the box!) on a wet spot right after it happens to soak up the mositure. Let it sit until dry and then sweep and vaccuum. After doing this I then will use the Bissell to get rid of any lingering smell. Also works w/ red wine! (If you didn't catch the accident, wet the area with water first it doesn't work as well as if you catch it quickly, but it helps.)

FYI We installed new carpeting when we got our puppy (No-we weren't thinking clearly!), but it still looks (and smells) like new carpeting thanks to proper maintenance and our Bissell. We're so impressed, we 'upgrading' to the Upright Proheat version and bought a Little Green Machine for some friends expecting their first child. Hope this helps!

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for BISSELL 17251 Little Green ProHeat Carpet Cleaner with Turbo Brush

We own both the upright Bissell and the Little Green, and use them semi-regularly. I'll admit to being a little obsessive about clean carpet and upholstery, but owning these products makes it easy to keep the carpet of our one year-old home looking great (and has extended the lifespan of our old sofas). The Little Green is perfect for use on small floor messes, the stairs, and couch. Our daughter turned two in October, and, thanks to this machine, we have survived spilled coffee, Children's Advil, soda, juices of all colors, chocolate, and shoeprints-pretty much anything she can dump out or track in, this product can clean up! The full-sized Bissell is great for steam-cleaning entire rooms, but it's too hard to lug up and down the stairs. If you have a two story home, you may want to consider this hand-held canister cleaner for convenience purposes. It's easy to carry and has an extra-long cord, to boot!

[[ASIN:B000R88XTA Air King 8566 Oscillating Ceramic Heater with Programmable Thermostat, 8-hour Timer and Remote ControI. I have a 10 plus year old space heater, the old element type, that I have been wary of falling asleep with it on. So, the search began, I read almost all reviews of the types I was most interested in, ceramic and radiant type of space heaters. No one heater, or for that matter, no one product will satisfy all. But, the Air King 8566, provided all the options, if you will for heating comfort and ease of use. Many other heaters were found to be inaccurate in there temperature settings, not this one. The remote works just like the panel on the heater, no confusion there and even on the high auto mode, the fan noise is not distracting. No reviews that I read on this heater alarmed me as so many others did. This model is the top of the Air King line of what amazon sells and is not inexpensive, but the old adage, you get what you pay for certainly applies here.

If this heater wasn't a bit noisy, I would give it 5 stars. It heated up my room within a few minutes, even with the door ajar. Both the main unit and the remote are easy to use; there is even a hook on the back of the unit to hang the remote, so it's not misplaced. I like the fact that it heats the air, not a specific object, so that I do not become over-heated. In addition, the unit is light-weight, but sturdy and thus not likely to get knocked over. If I need another space heater, I'll purchase a second one.

Good little stove. Looks very realistic and big enough not to be swallowed up by a large room and small enough for smaller spaces. Nice looking flame, puts out good heat. Would be five stars, but mechanism for flame has some mechanical noise, but it is not too obtrusive.

I shopped long and hard for purchasing an electric stove and totally love this one. The majority of them are too short but this one is taller so it looks better in a larger room. I would have given it 5 stars but sadly it only rates 4 stars because the directions for attaching the legs is lacking. Otherwise the stove is very well built and serves and looks great.

This is the best. The most realistic I've ever seen. Well worth the money. I will buy another one in the future for another room.

This fireplace has been a staple in my living room since I purchased it. The set up and instal was simple. The actual "fire" looks a lot better than anticipated. The heat that it puts out isn't too terrible great, but you shouldnt expect it to be with an electric fireplace. It works great for my living room, which is a medium size. It would be a great fit for an office or bedroom and the heat would be adequate.

Pros:

5*, not 3*

Way cute

Constant use duty cycle

Short warm up time

No cool down time required

Beautiful cotton candy

Good size cones of candy compared to other toy machines

Largely metal construction

Quiet

Cons:

Spinning, heated disk is a serious hazard to anyone that might touch it.

Disk will get damaged if dropped.

Slow to be expected from a toy.

Small output of candy to be expected from a toy.

Note that the "Nostalgia Electrics CCM505 Cotton Candy Maker" is the same mechanism as Looney Toons cotton candy maker. My review applies to both.

I give this a 5 star rating (excellent). I think I initially rated it only 3 stars because of the safety concern. Amazon won't let me change my rating. Other than the safety concern this is an excellent toy machine.

This way cute toy cotton candy maker is good. I used it a lot and it held up fine. It easily makes nice cotton candy. Largely metal construction is durable and well made. Clean up is not too bad. You pay for the cuteness in storage space, this box is big, something like a deep fryer. I was able to make respectable cones of cotton candy, similar to those shown on the box. As you run the machine longer it starts to work better, I guess it's heating up more. This machine can run for extended periods of time without overheating, a big plus over the misnamed "The Real Cotton Candy Machine," (TRCCM) a competing toy machine. I have run it for an hour at a time with no problem.

At a recent event I served a cone and absolutely stopped the show with everyone marveling at how beautiful was the cone of cotton candy.

With this machine there is only a two minute heat up period and no cool down period required, both big pluses. From ice cold you pour the scoop of sugar into the hopper, turn it on, and about two minutes later it begins to make the candy. At 1'45" you will smell the most wonderful aroma of caramelizing sugar!

As far as making candy goes, there is no question. This machine is far superior to TRCCM. However there is one serious reservation: this machine uses an exposed spinning metal disk. The heated disk spins at high speeds and would prove plenty dangerous if anyone was to touch it or get hair, jewelry, or clothing tangled. By contrast, TRCCM has no exposed moving parts and a plastic guard to keep fingers out.

Disassembly allows good access for cleaning. Cotton candy is intrinsically messy so you've got a problem no matter what. The disk keeps most of the sugar and candy away from the heating elements so you don't get a mess inside the unit. The bowl seals well against the body of the unit so not much candy there. The bowl detaches so you can wash it in the sink. Without the bowl you get good access to wipe down the rest of the unit.

The metal disk is sturdy, but gets damaged if dropped, which I did with mine. The Looney Tunes company offered a replacement disk for $10. Not free, but not a rip off either.

The instructions specify white table sugar only. This works fine, makes a lovely cone, and the lack of vanilla flavoring makes for delicious, unusual candy. However, people constantly annoy me by griping that it's not purple and asking if we can put food coloring in the sugar. I don't think that would work, I think the sugar would clump. So, to appease them, you might consider the "Nostalgia Cotton Candy Fun Kit CFK-515," but shop around because the one on Amazon here is posted with a price that is way too high. Commercial floss (colored and flavored sugar) is also locally available, I don't know if either of these options would work in this machine.

This machine suffers some typical toy food maker shortcomings.

1: It's slow. It takes about two minutes to start making candy and then maybe five more to complete the cone. When trying to serve even five kids, hahaha-think again. It's not happening. With five machines maybe.

2: Quantity of candy output is small. The instructions warn you not to put too much sugar in at once; it's probably best to heed that warning. It comes with a little measuring scoop so that you can get it right. Once you put in that scoop, you need to wait until it's exhausted before adding more. That will cost you a two minute delay each time while the fresh sugar melts. However, that scoop does make a nice fluffy cone of candy that is great for this toy machine. Unfortunately it's not what you get at the carnival, but for this toy it's great. With practice you learn how to roll the candy loosely so as to make the most attractive cone possible. I found that candy output doubled or more on the third and later batches.

3: Lack of suction cup feet on this model will help this guy vibrate off the table.

4: Toy size bowl with no cover allows sugar granules and candy fibers to escape machine, making a mess. I didn't find it troublesome.

5: Consistency of candy is on the light side compared to what I get at the grocery store. That makes this candy light, fluffy and delicious, but it also allows you to eat the entire cone in a few bites. My guidelines: no sharing, and savor every bite for all it's worth, because that cone doesn't last long.

Notes on the video:

Here we are having great fun making cotton candy with the Nostalgia Electrics machine. You will obviously see that this machine works great. In this video Suelo made a gigantic cone that actually rivals what you'd get at the circus. It's similar to the cones shown on the box of this unit, that's an honest company, but then they don't have anything to be ashamed of with this unit, do they?

My daughter got this for christmas and we have had so much fun making cotton candy. It's easy to work and clean up and it makes a nice size ball of cotton floss. I found that the first cone of cotton candy I make each time turns out smaller then the subsequent ones. The hotter the machine gets the better the cotton candy. Also, once you accumulate some floss on the cone by holding it vertically, turn the cone horizontally to collect the rest. The higher you hold the cone and twist, the fluffier the ball of cotton candy will be. It just takes a little practice. The machine came with a small bag of strawberry vanilla floss sugar and I also purchased a couple boxes of flavored floss sugar at another web store. The floss sugar works great. The instructions say you can use regular table sugar if desired and it can be flavored with sweetened kool-aid powder. We haven't tried this yet.

This really is a lot of fun!

Best Deals on Nostalgia Electrics CCM-505 Vintage Collection Cotton Candy Maker

My son loves cotton candy. Whenever we go to the fair, it's one of his must-have treats. Therefore, when he wanted a cotton candy maker at home, I bought this one.

For best results, you need to follow the instructions scrupulously: run the unit for five minutes without sugar to heat the spinning disk, turn it off to put one scoop (1.5 tsp) of sugar in the center, and turn it back on. It takes a good 3-4 minutes for anything to happen, then a ring of sugar particles will show up on the wall of the basin. Shortly after that, threads of candy will show up in the bowl. At this point, start winding the cone vertically around the center. After you have collected some, you can lift the cone, and continue twirling it to keep collecting the spun sugar. Now hold the cone horizontal and twirl just fast enough to keep the sugar going on. With a bit of practice, you will have a moderate ball of fluffy sugar. Subsequent loads will melt faster and spin into larger wads of candy. Quite a lot of fun for something that is about 23 calories!

Cleaning the spinner is critical (soak in hot water until all sugar is dissolved).

Because of the heat and the spinner, this is an appliance for teens or adults. Because of the speed, it is best for small groups or patient users. Small children might find it hard to wait. Still, for 1/20th of the cost of a commercial unit, it does quite a nice job.

Honest reviews on Nostalgia Electrics CCM-505 Vintage Collection Cotton Candy Maker

I got this for christmas and I love it. It's not messy at all if you do it right. It's very easy to work and it tastes great! My friends think it's really cool and want to use it all the time. I got extra flavors of cotton candy sugar to go with it and they all taste good. It's very easy to clean up after you're finished. I recommend this cotton candy maker if you're looking to buy one.

Pros:

Consumer Reports listed this as the quietest AC in it's class, but I saw several reviews on-line that complained about a noise that sounded like the fan was slapping against water in the case. I decided to try one unit anyway. Sure enough, when it arrived, it had the telltale noise. Examination, however, revealed that the fan was simply scraping against the surrounding shroud. Could have easily fixed it myself, but called Friedrich instead. They were very friendly and helpful, and knew immediately what the problem was. They gave me the name of a local service store. Called them, the repairman came out two day's later, trimmed the shroud, and -voila -the problem was fixed. After the fix, even he commented that it was the quietest unit he'd ever heard. I promptly ordered two more identical units. Both arrived shortly thereafter, and neither had the noise problem. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit. Is it as quiet as central air? No, definitely not. After all, it is a window unit. Can you hear it running? Definitely. After all, it is a window unit. But it is probably about 75% quieter than the unit it replaced. The sound it does make is not particularly intrusive, and you could easily carry on a whispered conversation right next to the unit. The only mystery that remains to me is, if Friedrich knows about this problem, and it occurs with any frequency, why hasn't their quality control department redesigned the manufacturing specs to eliminate it completely? Presumably, the shroud needs to be a close fit to the fan in order to obtain the efficiency at which the unit is rated, but still...... Ahh, one of the enduring mysteries of life.

I decided to buy a Friedrich CP06G10 after I heard a LG unit sounding like a tractor...despite most of the good reviews it got (???); the built quality of the Friedrich is remarkable, compared with units from other brands (of similar capacity 6000BTU); unfortunately, the unit is noisy, specially for the price; the fan alone is running ok but the noise from the compressor is quite loud and uneven; the customer support rep at Friedrich was very courteous and try her best in dealing with the situation; without a prompt response from the warranty technicians in my area I returned the unit to the store; when packing the unit I noticed that the compressor used in this unit is....LG Electronics.....what a shame! Hopefully the people at Friedrich will make a better selection of the (major) parts used in their products.

Bought this for my friend's apartment. Much better than the junk at Home Depot and Lowes. Easy to install and does a great job of cooling.

Honest reviews on Friedrich CP06G10 6000 btu - 115 volt - 10.7 EER Chill series room

Purchased this unit from an independant Freidrich dealer as well as the Kuhl. The Kuhl is a fine product. The Chill is noisy and the fromt grill vibrates. The installer has come back twice and has improved the vibration issues, but the unit is noisy and the problem is the front grill which is flimsy hence the vibration issue. Am waiting to hear from Freidrich about this issue.

Was in contact with Freidrich service. To make a long story short, cause of excess noise and vibration found and corrected. Freidrich support responded in a quick and expeditious manner. Apparently problem solved. Am changing review from one star to four stars. Kuhl is a five star unit.

7/5/2012

Friedrich authorized and replacement unit installed today, after noise issue returned. New unit much quieter. The problem with the original unit was with the compressor. As with any product purchase, your purchase is only as good as the company behind it. Pleased with Freidrich customer service and their response to my issue. This is a decent if not spectular performer for a window unit. If you are looking for a thru the wall,I would definetly reccomend the Kuhl series. Had one installed in living room and it is great. More expensive, but worth it.

This is our second Friedrich unit that we purchased. I have owned a couple of units in our house, and the friedrich is the quietest and best cooling. On "high" I can sleep with it next to my head. On low I can barely hear it. This is replacing a 10k BTU Sears Kenmore that went bust after 2 years, although we had a larger one which we got rid of that was 10+ years old. After extensive research on the first one, we got it, despite it being undersized, it cools half of our upstairs perfectly, and the second 6k unit will cool the other one. Do your research, notice that Friedrich has the highest EER rating, it's there for a reason, they have the technology (wifi on some models), and energy efficiency. $50 coupon (25+25) until July 31st (2012)as well. Don't oversize your a/c unit, it will cycle on and off too fast and die. A smaller one turned on in advance will use less energy and last longer.

I bought this heater over 2 years ago, have used it on a regular basis since day one, and it's still going strong. My apartment is pretty cold and the only other heat source I have is electric baseboard, which is WAY too expensive to use, so this little heater is my main source of warmth. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

I was disappointed with the quality of this heater, it produced very little forced air and did not heat the room that way I hoped. Not usually typical with Delonghi products to not be efficient.

Save your money... this heater is NOT safe at all. It actually gets very hot to the touch, emits some type of chemical smell when first used, and did not warm my living room at all. To top it all, the quality of this heater is very poor. I returned it and bought a Vornado whole-room vortex heater-which stays cool AND heats the entire living room perfectly (for the same price).

Honest reviews on DeLonghi HS15F Safe Heat Convection Heater

Have this unit for past 2 yrs and it works perfectly. I heats up my bedroom which is approx 350sqft in about 30 mins. If I have the dual heat setting, the room gets heated up within an hour.

If you are looking for perfect heater for a bedroom or any other room then this unit will be sufficient. I also save on electric bills as I do not run the central air when I am using this.

Unit arrived couple of days ago and the box was taped around the seams, which wasn't a concern but opening today the unit was used. The plastic bag containing leg stand and screws was already torn open and had masking tape to keep closed. Screws were missing and looking at the unit very apparent it was used!! I've purchased many, many items from Amazon and can't believe they would sell a USED item as brand new!! What a shame or should I call them a sham!

Was disappointed that it was dented on arrival, But since it was a factory rebuild I was to expect some flaws.

Heats well though.

Portable Woodburning-Style Large Electric Stove with Stay-Cool Review

We just started using this stove in our living room and really like it. It puts out a nice amount of heat. My 3 year old son calls it our "fireplace" and likes to have it on while he's playing. The flames are pretty cozy and even though they aren't super realistic, they create the ambiance of a fire. The fan makes an audible sound, but I don't find it to be unpleasant. The stove itself is quite attractive, but the color in the ad is totally misleading. It's definitely more of a dark brick red (almost plum) color. It's going to look really nice with holiday decorations on top of it. My mother-in-law came to visit and liked it so much that we just ordered her one as well.

I thought I had ordered in red, but black arrived. I tried it anyway! Very realistic looking flame and very warm. We use it in a foyer on a tile floor that is an unheated space. It has been great; no more cold drafts from that area.

I have wanted this heater for years. I was thrilled to find it in the catalog. We love our new woodstove heater. It adds so much to the room.

Honest reviews on Portable Woodburning-Style Large Electric Stove with Stay-Cool

I like the item itself but the dealings I had with the company is enough for me to rethink ordering again. Placed my order several weeks ago, received first stove about a week later and it was dented. I called, they sent a return shipping label and a replacement. The second stove came another week later and the metal strip that hold the glass in was broken off with broken chunks of plastic still screwed on it and was rattling around the box. I called again. They sent another return shipping label and another replacement. The third stove came and the door was broken. All 3 boxes, when they came were gashed and torn all over and there was no protection around the stoves to prevent any damage. I called and got angry and they sent one more return shipping label and the 4th replacement. The 4th stove came on Dec. 19th(this was for a Christmas gift). This one was in a box, in a bigger box. It was finally packed the way they should have been to start with. The customer service was very questionable and they did nothing to make up for the unbelievable hassle of having to repack and return 3 large heavy boxes.

I have a red one and the paint looks like enamel over cast iron. The logs look realistic, just like glowing embers, and the flame effect is fairly realistic. The room just seems cozier, and I find it relaxing. I have lived with a real wood stove...carrying wood in all winter, cleaning up the mess....this is a nice alternative! My cat is not impressed, but then he never carried firewood or offered to sweep up ashes.

I don't really like to use the heater, (I have seen how portable electric heaters can run up an electric bill) so I can't honestly rate it.

I think it may have been a little pricy because of the Plow & Hearth name. I paid around $220 including S&H...probably really only worth around $150. I looked for a couple of months before buying this stove, and there are nicer stoves out there, but you are going to pay a lot more money.

I think this is a good quality stove for the price range. You will have to attach the legs, and the doors feel a little flimsy (this is why 4 stars, and not 5). You should know that it is mostly heavy plastic, only the sides and back are sheet metal, but if you are just sitting back and LOOKING at it, it looks good.
