I have a furnace heat register under my desk that always starts with cooler air before the warm comes out. When the furnace isn't running, my feet get cold and uncomfortable. This was the perfect size for me to use under my desk to keep that space warm (and it radiates up to my hands as well since it really gets my general work area warm.

This is not a huge direct heat product. I've used a heat dish which could almost give you sunburn. This is perfect for getting the chill out of the air without using up a lot of energy. I calculated it to cost about 26 cents a day if you run it for 10 hours (which I don't).

It does have a shut off if it gets too hot (according to the directions) but it looses a star for not having a shut off if it tips over. I don't want to test it out but if it gets knocked over with the heat face down, I'd be afraid of something burning before it could shut off.

Overall, a great little solution for any cold spot.

I have provided two personal photos to show size. I am satisfied with this heater but beware that most states, including mine (MA), prohibits vent-less heaters as primary sources of heat and should only be used as supplemental.

With that said, please be aware that although this product is 99.9% efficient, the unit does give off a smell. The gas by-products that are burning off into the air make the .1% and it is important to keep one window cracked 1 inch.

I have a 1000 square foot apartment, and this year (December 2012) temperatures have dropped below 32 degrees a couple of times and this heater has more than done its job. It is extremely warm and very nice to look at with the blue flame and compact size.

This model does NOT have a digital reading of the temperature despite the product image description. I did purchase an indoor digital thermometer along with a carbon monoxide detector for safety, it has not detected any levels of carbon monoxide. It does come with a kit to either mount it to the wall or have it free standing.

I spent over 5 months researching gas heaters before buying this one, and am overall very satisfied with the physical and mechanical performance.

I did have to call customer serviced a couple of times with questions and they were not only helpful but there weren't any wait times.

Great heater! We had a Williams brand wall heater that failed on us. If we were to fix it , it would have cost us around $150 just to buy the pilot for the old heater SO we decided to try this product. Note that the one we bought does not require vent, blue flame, natural gas. The blower fan blows the heat from the unit towards the room it helps make the room heat quicker and it helps keeps the unit and the things close to it reasonably cool. Also we got the blue flame coz we read somewhere that the yellow flame gives out radiant heat (not sure). The 20k btu heats up a 20-30 degrees 700 sqm (approx) fairly quick. I would buy this product as a gift or recommend it to others.

I mounted this on the wall of my basement shop and I set it and forget it. I have an old thermostat that I use to monitor the temperature and it stays a constant 72F. The flame modulation feature works very well. The 2012 winter is very mild, but I am still glad I got it. This is a quality unit.

Honest reviews on Mr. Heater 20,000 BTU Natural Gas Blue Flame Vent Free Heater

I am pretty happy with the heater, but I have run several tests on the blower fan ... and I can't even tell a 1 inch difference in whether the fan is on or off.

I hear the fan running, (and I can see the blades moving) but it does not blow into the room (not even one inch more than if the fan is not on) I am beginning to think the fan blades have no significant pitch to them ie they just spin but do not move any air forward.

What do you suggest?

Installation was simple. This unit may be small but very powerful AND efficient. It heats not only my basement, but the heat rises and also heats my large kitchen. Love it!

I live in BC Canada and live in an older home. I took temperature readings around the house before and after installing these heaters. I have 5 of them in 3 bedrooms and two large hallways. My old energy consumption was 7500 watts per hour for the 5 old heaters. Currently my new heaters use a total of 2000 watts per hour and far more efficient so they run less than my old heaters. That is a 73% Energy savings!!! Each of these panels use 400 watts of power (which is like running FOUR 100 watt light bulbs)

This heater is more like a "room temperature maintainer" than a heater. It's great to use in a bedroom and bathroom (up to 120 Sq feet) however remember that this heater works best to keep a room temperature at a certain temp, rather than heating a room quickly. So if you room is at a certain temp, this heater will make sure it stays at that temp. In fact it takes HOURS to heat up a room with this heater, but that's how radiant heat works. It's a slow and steady process. Once it gets to a target temp, it keeps temperatures nice and warm and comfortable rather than feeling like you are in a blast furnace. Think of a camp fire. You can warm yourself directly off the fire (like a traditional heater) or heat your feet on some fire stones around the fire for many many hours (like these heaters.

I highly suggest you buy a temperature control wall socket switch (or build one using a single pole thermostat). That's where you get the most energy savings. That's because once you hit the target temp, these heaters really do a great job kicking on for a few minutes to maintain a temp and shutting off. NOTE: even when power is cut to the panels they still generate heat for 30 to 45 minutes. This is because the panels are nothing but an electric element encased in a ceramic panel. The element heats up the cermanic panel and that's what really heats up the room. Takes a while for these panels to cool down, so you get a heating bonus even with power is shut off.

====TESTING========

Here's my Test numbers using the Panel heaters:

BEFORE

Bedroom at 8 pm (before heaters) : 20 degrees Celsius (or 68 F)

Bedroom at 8 am (when I get up before the heaters): 12 degrees Celsius (or 53.6 F)

AFTER

Bedroom at 8 pm (with heaters) : 20 degrees Celsius (or 68 F)

Bedroom at 8 am (when I get up): 21 degrees Celsius (or 70 F)

These numbers are consistent in all the rooms I tested. So use these panels do work.

=====IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS======

1) When they mean 120 sq feet. They REALLY mean 120 sq feet in a well insulated room. If you have bad insulation, these heaters will do nothing. Don't even think about using these to heat an open concept large room.

2) The lower to the ground, the better these things work. The instructions suggest 3 to 6 inches off the ground and that's the best. I mounted one in the centre of the wall because of all the stuff in the room. Compared to the one's I have at the 6 inches off the ground, the performance difference is quite extreme. Almost a 60% loss in efficiency. Makes sense because these heaters send heat upwards and not forward. So it sends hot air up the wall..heating also the wall on the way up to the ceiling. The longer the stretch of wall to heat, the more effective it is.

3) These heaters do get hot but don't damage the walls. I have pets that like to sleep close to them and you can touch them by hand and not get burned...but not for long. Please don't put crap in front of the heater. That just should be obvious.

4) Painting these do help it blend into the environment of the room walls very well. You kind of forget about them unless you get near them.

5) Heaters are completely silent. No fans.

6) The heat feels different. My old heaters felt like a hair-dryer on my face when the fans kicked on. This heat is more subtle and more cozy. Feels more like being in a blanket of warm air in summer time.

===== Cons =========

1) THE SMELL!!! When you first fire these heaters up, they have a toxic smelling scent off the heaters. NO! IT'S NOT ACTUALLY TOXIC but enough to take notice and go on-line to see if this stuff is safe to breath. Turns out it's a protective coating (for shipping purposes) that needs to burn off for 8 hours to one day. After you burn it off, there is no scent at all.

2) No instant gratification. It's a hard adjustment for some people not to turn on a heater and not get blasted with heat. These heaters take some time to get used to but once you understand they are meant to stay on for long periods rather than short bursts, you sort of forget that these heaters are on.

===== CONCLUSION =====

I would only recommend these heaters under very SPECIFIC situations (like not freezing in your bedroom while sleeping. It does what it does incredibly well as long as you stay within those specifics situations. I have used these heaters when it was snowing and they worked great, especially with my temperature controlled wall sockets. My energy bill has gone down by 70% from the previous year. It maintains the temperature of the house better than any heater I have ever own...short of a Central Heating unit and those cost alot more to run than these heaters. So if you have a bedroom or a place with pets or kids where a heater can be a fire hazard (under 120 sq feet), then this heater will work great to get the chill out of a cold climate area.

We have used 4 of them in our house for 4 winters. Our house was built in 1928 and is located on an island in SE Alaska. It gets cold and humid(60%+ year round) here, and never gets that warm in the summer(mid 50-70*) The only insulation is in the couple walls I have torn down to insulate. Half the windows are old wood single pane and the other half are milgard. We heat our home with a wood cookstove stove on the main level. We have one unit in the master bedroom(12'x14'), one in the spare bedroom(11'x14'), and two in the kids bedroom(18'x11'). The two in the kids room are on timers so they alternate through the night as to which is on. The spare and master room units are only on when we turn them on(usually only at night). They have kept the rooms warm so I would not have to get up in the night to tend the wood stove. We love them. They are great for when the weather turns cold out but not worth the hassle of starting a fire up.

I was in the market for a baseboard heater for my newly renovated basement bedroom but I was not satisfied with the traditional high wattage heater, so decided to search for a better solution. I was impressed by this product and the reviews, so decided to take the plunge and order one. I also ordered the plug in thermostat for the unit as well. My bedroom is roughly 200sq ft or so and upon turning the unit on for 10-15min, the whole room is nice and cozy. As for the surface itself, it is not too hot to touch at all.. I mean it is more than lukewarm but definitely won;t burn your hand on it (after about 30min of operation).

With the high hydro cost, I highly recommend this unit. Oh, the best thing is that it runs on regular Voltage, so there is no need to do any re-wiring at all. Just plug and go!

Second one I have purchased. Great for heating a small room (bathroom, inside porch, mudroom). Just remember do NOT TIGHTEN completely! Ceramic board does need to expand when turned on. (Learned that one on the first purchase!) Placed this one in our mudroom.......no more cold coats and shoes in the morning! Need one more for an unheated bathroom. Economical too!Econo-Heat electric panel heater

Bought this for a drafty home office after reading Amazon reviews, and I have to say, it works. Since we rent, and I didn't want to put too many screws into the wall, I attached the heater to a large piece of particle board, and now I can move it anywhere I want and simply lean it against a wall. Keeps that room fairly toasty, and the heat doesn't feel too "concentrated". It circulates noiselessly around the room, and you actually have to be really close to the unit to feel the heat coming off of it. Not so hot as to be unsafe, but warm enough to do an effective job. No complaints at all so far!

We bought the ice and easy floating tank heater last year at a local feed store for about 25 dollars and it has proven itself to be a very practical and affordable way to keep outside water from freezing.

It has a built in thermostat that only kicks on when the temperature goes below 32.

It might be the most clever name given to a farm product. I'm using our's to keep the chicken water warm tonight so they can have something non frozen to wake up to tomorrow.

I purchased this to replace my old water heater for one of my horse troughs, and it works fine but what brilliant engineer decided to bring the cord out of the bottom? A minor criticism ,but it never floats flat since the cord comes out of the bottom. Also, although the cord never touches the coil underneath it is pretty close to it.

It is beautiful and feels like real brick, as well as looks like real brick but it does need a hearth under it so that the heat can generate higher and it will look really real. It was delivered undamaged except for a ring mark on the granite mantel which looks like someone put a cup or glass on. I haven't tried to get it out but I am sure it will buff out. I love it regardless of the little things I want to do with it.

I had the "old model" of this oven for around 5-years or so. I broke one of the infrared bulbs (while cleaning it) last week. Fortunately I found out that they have started to make this oven again. They had stopped (or at least stopped importing them) when I checked a couple of years ago for a friend of mine who wanted one. But this "new model" is exactly the same as my "old" one except the name on a couple of buttons has changed, and also it's now silver instead of white.

Frist, let me just say what this toaster oven is NOT. . .It is NOT a replacement for a "traditional" oven. If you're looking for something of that sort, then I highly recommend you check out one of the Breville or Black & Decker models. This Panasonic toaster oven will NOT cook a chicken. . or bake an 8" pie.. . or bake a cake. But what it does. . .it does VERY well.

This oven works by infrared light. You can Google to find out exactly how this works, if you want the specifics. Because of this, there is no pre-heating required. The lights will turn on-and-off while the oven is in operation. This can be a little "confusing" when you start to use it, but you'll get used to it.

This oven works WONDERFULLY for the following items:

* Toast using whatever bread you like. . . however thick you like

* Toasting bagels or English muffins

* Heating pastries or croissants

* Baking biscuits (Pillsbury frozen buttermilk biscuits are my favorite)

* Heating frozen appetizers such as breaded cheese sticks, chicken fingers, etc.

* Pizza reheating or baking. Either a small whole pizza or a slice of a large pizza

* Frozen garlic bread

* Cookies

Though the guide says that you can bake cakes and pies in it. . . I've tried, and it didn't work for me. If you're baking small tarts which are perhaps a half-inch thick. . .or a cake where it's no more than ½ inch thick.. .then perhaps you could get it to work. . but again. . . this is not like a "traditional" oven, so I think if you're going to bake such things, then you would be much better off using a "traditional" oven.

It's wonderful that there is no pre-heating. I put frozen biscuits in, and 20-minutes later they are just perfect.

The oven has some preset buttons on the front where you can also choose from "light" (shorter cooking time) to "dark" (longer cooking time). . . or. . . you can choose the temperature and length of cooking you would like, up to 25-minutes.

The pan that comes with the oven is 9-inches square. This is certainly the maximum size for the oven.

You will learn by trial-and-error what works best with this oven. But after having one for around 5-years, I can HIGHLY recommend it. I have never seen a toaster oven which works like this. . .which has pre-set buttons. . .which doesn't require pre-heating. . . . and does such a fantastic job.

It's hard to believe that I get so excited about such an item. . .but this is one of those rare occasions where something just works well. . . REALLY REALLY well.

P.S. If you are not using the preset buttons, this toaster oven has a timer up to 25-minutes. If you press the "up" arrow to increase the time, it goes in 30-second intervals up to ten-minutes, and then it goes by 1-min intervals. If you want to bake something on the "higher-end" of the timer, then use the "down arrow" to start with and it will go from 25-minutes backwards.

Thank goodness this wonderful toaster oven is available again!!! I used the previous version for many happy years. It is a perfect design (small footprint on countertop, easy-to-use controls) and quickly produces great toast and perfectly baked foods! I have missed having this oven, since I dumbly tossed my old one out last year, when it began looking its age. To my great dismay I quickly discovered that the model had been discontinued and I was unable to buy one like it! So, I resorted to trying an expensive KitchenAid toaster oven (Model KCO223CU) which promptly caused me several severe hand, finger, and arm burns (door didn't open fully, etc.); I removed the darn KitchenAid oven from my kitchen and donated it to charity (still feel a little guilty about the poor person who gets it). I've been without a toaster oven for several months, refusing to settle for anything less than my wonderful old Panasonic Flash Xpress! NOW it is AVAILABLE AGAIN!!! Hip hip hooray!!! Special thanks to my husband, who pointed this fact out to me last night, after seeing it in his Oct. Popular Science magazine; all my wailing and complaining about the unavailable Flash Xpress must've seared into his memory (I'm astonished that he recognized the oven -he never cooks). And, thank you Panasonic!!!! I'm 60 years old and I know a great product when I find one! Aloha from Hawaii!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I hate to harsh people's mellows, I really do, but I also hate trying to find out the cons for a product when it gets almost unanimous praise (I'm sure there is some psychological/societal issue going on with that, but that's a different story), so hopefully I can help others with this.

A few years ago, I went on a toaster research crusade, due to having bought several toaster ovens in as many years, and finally realizing that most of them were just designed to fail within short life spans (IMO).

Even my highly rated and expensive Delonghi, died well before what I expected its life span to be (one year). Finally, I bought the "Cadillac" of toasters, (and I gave it a great review here), the Breville, stainless steel monster (Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ) which costs what seems to be a ridiculous price for a toaster (hint you can get them on BIG sales, (or consider using one of those ubiquitous big % off coupons for a certain bed and bath chain *COUGH*), but has more than 1,000 reviews on here, with 4.5 stars. You get what you pay for with toasters? Maybe.

Interestingly, I had looked at this Panny infra-red model before, since my family of 5 are toastaholics, and the idea of "fast toast" really appealed to me for those rushed school mornings. So I was lucky enough to get one for review from Vine, but unfortunately, after a few weeks of regular use, we have gone back to the Breville. As cool as the infra-red tech sounds, and is, this does not make up for the lack of more practical features and design that I believe it lacks.

PROS:

1. Very small footprint, and good aesthetics. If you lack a lot of counter space, this will make you happy, as it's tiny. Looks good on counter as well (nice clean, modern look)

2. Claims of 40% faster toasting seems to be accurate, at least compared to my Breville. It IS truly, VERY fast at both cooking and toasting.

3. I love the fact that the heat is accompanied by almost blinding light, so you can REALLY see your food. Welding goggles sold separately.

4. Price seems about right, if a little high (now I see it has jumped so not as valid when I got the unit)

5. The cool factor (I'm always up for high tech gadgetry) of infrared light for heating.

CONS:

1. Same as the pro (small size), but this was such a big con for me (family of 5), that it made the unit almost worthless. YMMV. It's so small that I couldn't even fit smallish frozen pizzas in there. And you can forget about some of the what I would consider normal sized frozen pizza brands (diGiorno, Tombstone, California Pizza Kitchen). Not gonna fit. I was also used to cooking even large frozen dishes like lasagnas or pasta dishes in the Breville, and you can forget about that with this one. Again, this can be a pro or con for you, depending on your usage. But if you like to use your toaster as an oven like we do, I would look elsewhere.

2. Uneven cooking. This one surprised me. There is a definite heat bias towards the back of the unit (and I think they mention this in the manual even),so that in some cases, you will need to rotate things for even cooking. Big pain, for me, and that right there is a deal breaker. (you don't HAVE to rotate things, of course, but you will have quite varying degrees of doneness from food in the front vs food in back)

3. Learning curve. Didn't expect this either, but it also ties into the whole "this thing is cool, but kind of a pain!" mentality I have regarding the toaster. You can forget about looking at the back of the box of frozen food for indications on what temp and time settings to use. Due to the faster cooking, and I think the way it cooks, it's almost like there are no directions for you to go by, except your own trial and error. I have burned many a frozen thing, (while inside was still cold), and I have had cases where I had to "reheat" something multiple times because what I thought was done, needed more cooking. You will probably get used to the non-standard calibration over time, but do you really want to have to come up with custom settings, and maybe more importantly LEARN the appropriate setting for every new thing you cook? Blegh.

4. My biggest hope for this was spectacular toast. If it could have done that, I might have considered keeping it just for that reason, and going back to using the regular oven for larger items. Nooooo! Due to the lack of an adjustable height rack (!?!), Every time I toasted something, the bottom (which you can't see, obviously), gets many times darker than the top, and it should be the opposite, IMO, if only for the fact that you can visually inspect to see if your toast is burning or not. This killed me, and is unfortunate, especially if you are a pre-butterer like I am (something the manual states you SHOULD NOT do since it might catch fire!) Rebel, and noted cynic that I am, I DID pre-butter, and had no problems (and IMO you want the buttered side to be the more toasted, not the opposite, and I did not want to toast buttered side down, so you see my dilemma!) :D

I could go on, and I fully realize that a lot of people have and do disagree with the above points (look at the reviews!), but that's the way I see it this is a flawed toaster oven, that does neither toasting, nor ovening well compared to the better conventional tech toaster ovens out there. I REALLY wanted to like it, and was like a kid at Christmas when I opened it and tried it out, but it just fails in too many categories for us to continue to use it.

I can see it being good for single people, or couples that don't eat frozen pizzas, or toast, and people with very little counter space, but again, not my profile, so for me, it was an unfortunate bust. Please note that current prices of the Panny vs. the Breville are not comparable, as the MSRP of the Breville is about double I think, BUT you can get it for MUCH cheaper than that. MUCH (not as cheaply as this unit at it's highest, but close enough to not make a huge difference)

To end on a positive note, if they made a larger model with adjustable height racks, I would be all over it, since that would solve my biggest two complaints.

Honest reviews on Panasonic NB-G110P Flash Xpress Toaster Oven, Silver

In short: these guys thought of everything you could want in a toaster, and made it reliably for a great price.

Also, as far as I can tell, they pioneered the market for infrared toaster ovens for 7 YEARS before anyone else.

If you aren't familiar with infrared toasters, basically it means fast even cooking and no more burnt smelling food after cheese drips or something. It burns differently and it stops smelling quickly.

Cleaning is EASY. The front pullout tray is awesome, I can clean it up in seconds. I can also pull out the grill quick and put it back in.

The only minor negative is that I sometimes want to adjust the time while it is cooking, and it doesnt allow that. You can only adjust cook time at the beginning. Not a big deal though.

Before this toaster, I had tried 2 or 3 that were garbage, they had the traditional timers that never worked or cooked consistently. I had to check constantly to see when something would be magically "done".

My family uses this toaster every day (or close) for the past 5 or 6 years and it still works. It has been dropped, burnt (it was next to the stovetop), and generally manhandled. I am actually surprised it survived this long. I used to look on craigslist for the toaster for a few years when I thought "this should have died by now" because it wasn't on the market anymore and it would completely stink to use anything else.

I'm happy to see you can still get this again. If you want a toaster and can affort spending $100 or so, this is a no-brainer. This model has been THE top rated toaster on amazon for years, literally. It is the Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky of toasters.

To be fair, I might consider the newer infrared Breville's if I was looking at the moment, but it is hard to ignore the Panasonic reliability and simple reality this is a beautiful product across the board.

PS: To Panasonic, why the heck did you stop selling this? I had over 7 people complain to me they tried to buy one EVERYWHERE. People offered to buy mine. You could have jacked the price up an $50 and still sold a ton of them.

I bought my first Panasonic Flash Express toaster about 15 years ago after I saw it in a Popular Science magazine that I must have seen in a doctor's office or bookstore because I haven't been a subscriber in decades. Since then I needed another just months after they stopped importing them. Prices on the dwindling stock reached $250+ for a toaster that sold for $99.95 on Amazon. Eventually I bought a slightly used one for our garage apartment which eventually was brought downstairs when the original unit finally declared "toasted". Speed forward several years (imagine the clock hands spinning like in the movies) and I'm thumbing through the Popular Science today at the grocery store and go the the "What's New" section THE PANASONIC FLASH EXPRESS IS BACK!!! Could tell that the button labels were slightly different but everything else was the same. Thought it might be a cruel trick by Panasonic but this listing does give hope that there might be more in the pipeline. Panasonic and Amazon better get prepared to sell a bunch. Go to the original Flash Express listing and look at the hundreds of reviews and the associated dates. Many if not most of those folk are ready for a new toaster. Many of their friends who had been repeatedly subjected praise for a no longer available household appliance may decide to give it a try and see what these legions of toaster aficionados see in a piece of electrified sheet metal. If Amazon was smart (and they are) they would send a note to previous Flash Express owners and let them know it is available again. Expecting them to see it in Popular Science is a one in a million shot. Not.

The previous model was introduced before social media existed. As soon as it has its own Facebook page and Tweeter hashtag sales of this toaster alone may be able to lift the currently miserable fortunes of Panasonic.

Welcome back. My order is in.

I bought this model from Home Depot on clearance to warm up my basement last winter. It was a very long winter, and I ended up keeping it on 24/7 for almost 8 months. There was an immediate improvement even in the chilliest corner as soon as I switched it on, and the thermostat option was very helpful. Just recently the power light started flickering, and after that the overheat alarm started going off. I feel I got more than I paid for and so I hunted down the same model again for this winter!

This china built turd burned out in less than a few months. The wires inside melted and smoked. Very risky for home use. PAtton outsourced these from china and the Chinese make junk. DONT BUY THIS.

Bought one of these about 2 weeks ago, seemed to work well at first. A few hours later the fan was making an annoying chirping noise off and on.

Fast forward 2 weeks, and I smell a burning electronic smell but can't tell where it's coming from. A few minutes pass and suddenly I see my shiny new space heater shooting sparks like crazy. Luckily I was across the room, and quickly unplugged it, otherwise it likely would have started a fire.

I bought a cheap one under the assumption they're pretty simple products, and anything should do the trick, but apparently "not burning your house down" is something you have to pay a little extra for.

Honest reviews on Patton Electric 1500W Radiant Heater PRH11

I have been using one of these for seven (yes, 7) years at work and it's showing no signs of giving up the ghost. It runs almost all day every day including summer because the AC at work is too cold for me. I actually have another one waiting in the wings in case this does finally quit and am now buying one to replace a 9-year-old old Maxi-Heat in my bathroom. To those who let heaters run unattended (as in when you're sleeping)... you just shouldn't. If you must, get an oil-filled radiator type they're much safer to leave unattended

0 stars, unit needs to be retested by UL.

Well last night I woke up and felt cold. But the heater was still making noise. I got up and all the elements were off, there was a funny smell but the fan was still blowing cool air out. I toggled the switch and nothing would work.

So, I unplugged the heater, got my flashlight and screwdriver and looked inside. I took it apart(fan side) and the wire connected to the element had literally melted through the connection point and there were signs of burnt plastic on the wire and the connection point.

Basically there was a mini fire inside the unit while I was SLEEPING.I cannot explain how uncomfortable this knowledge made me feel today. I got lucky, but someone else might not.Someones kids may not,please avoid this product. I would never recommend this unit to anyone. Please don't buy this unit it quite literally could burn your house down while you sleep. Btw, the overheat alarm never went off, I don't understand how this unit is still on the market.

I am currently sitting in a cold room tonight because I have no heater down here atm. I need to get one tomorrow.If you have any question I will try to answer them.

As soon as I figure out how I will be reporting this to UL and see what they have to say, I have seen a few other negative fire related reviews about this product online.

This works great for warming the lotion for a baby after a bath, and is easy to use. The lotion is warm, but not hot. You will need to fill the dispenser from your normal lotion bottle and the dispenser plugs into an outlet.

Good overall. Needs more sensitive control for temperature setting. Shutoff is nice feature. Should have heavier base.

I owned the other conair lotion dispenser for a couple of years and I dropped it and it broke. So I was happy to find this newer model! It's awesome being able to adjust the temperature of the lotion and if your lotion is thick, it will thin it out and make it silky warm! Great being able to apply warm lotion on your body especially during the cold weather! (-:

Honest reviews on Conair HLD31 Heated Lotion Dispenser

The intructions don't tell you how to prime the pump. I was about to send it back when I tried using water first, then transferring the pump to the lotion. After expelling the water the lotion then flowed freely. The biggest complaint I have for this item is that it does not heat very much lotion at a time. One pump's worth, then you have to wait for the next pump to heat up. I hope this helps!!!

I recently purchased this product for the cold winter months in the North. I also had to put lots of lotion on to prevent stretch marks during my pregnancy but dreaded putting cold lotion on. This product I would definately recommend to anyone that likes to put lotion on but hates putting it on cold.

I was told that this unit was far superior to the Insinkerator that I was replacing after 10 years of great service. Not true.

The delivery of the water is uneven, you never know when it will dispense. When it builds up steam in the unit, it just starts dripping to relieve the pressure. There must be a better way, as I didn't have to put up with the dripping with my Insinkerator. I can't wait to replace it and it would be gone now, if I hadn't paid so much for it. It just feels flimsy, sorry it's not that hot.

I owned a Franke Little Butler. It is the same as this unit. There are about a half dozen suppliers of this identical unit all branded differently, but it has the same guts inside. For $140 bucks you can't go wrong. Mine lasted about 5 years. I could spend $85 to replace the immersion heating element inside the stainless steel tank, but its so easy to disconnect the two hoses, unplug the power, lift up the unit off the wall-mount bracket and be done with it. It should take 1/2 hour. They are cheaply made, so buy two and put one in the garage for 5 years from now. They'll probably double in price; where are you going to get that kind of return for your money? Certainly not at Wells Fargo or Bank of America. Oh, the dripping and steaming another reviewer experienced means they had the thermostat set too high. NOTE: If you are going to go away for a while, unplug this unit...the tank is open to the atmosphere and 190 degree water will evaporate over time. The unit does have a thermostat so it will keep cycling on and off till all the water is gone and your immersion heating element burns out. Another reviewer experienced waiting a long time for the water to come out and low temperatures. This unit fills the tank from the bottom up. Hot water rises above cold water. When the tank is finally full, the overflow rises up the center tube and out of the sink fixture; if it takes a long time, that means it has been some time since it was last dispensed from and/or the thermostat is set high. Use a thermometer in a glass of dispensed water to check the temperature and adjust the temperature setting for 190 degrees.

I purchased 3 of these over a period of 3 years, they all leaked or tripped the breaker after very little use. Im looking for something more reliable this time

Honest reviews on Everpure EV9318-40 Solaria Instant Hot Water Dispenser

Long Island Homeowner gave a lot of good feedback. I have tried a couple and this is the best that I have had. The unit can produce over 4 cups of very hot water in one run, I haven't tried the upper limit but that is good enough for most needs. It also has a very fast recovery so you can get more hot water very quickly.

There is some sensitivity to routing of the hot hose to the faucet. If the hose droops down from the unit before going up you will get a little cool water and a sputter/burst of air before getting hot. Be sure to mount the unit level, if you don't the steam won't vent properly and you can get sputtering. Construction is average but everything is thin walled so I don't expect infinite life. Then again, as noted the replacement process is SIMPLE so it really isn't much of an issue.

I had an old instant hot water heater in our motorhome and it died.

I read many reviews and decided on this unit. The install was simple the hard part was crawling under the sink!

It hooked right up to the existing water spigot from the old unit even though it was a KitchenAid brand!

I did take another reviewers advice and went to Lowes and got a brass compression fitting (under $1) to mate up the unit with the old copper 1/4" tubing.

Works great, we are very happy it!
