Stand fan heater much more powerful then compact fan heater. hot hot hot.. Has to be positioned a distant away from people. Thermostat can be set to desired temp and shuts off after a few minutes reaching the setting.

Cons:

Took a while to figure out how to assemble the base/pedestal part. But once that's done evrything's fine.

I find that in general Lasko products are reliable.

I did not like this product. I was very excited when I received. Good price, good size, but I turned on and it stoped by itself. I tried several times. Finally, I gave up and returned it and got my money back.

This unit is truly prettier than I thought it would be. It matches my other oak furniture perfectly and the fireplace unit makes for cozy ambiance. It was very easy to put together and I got it together in a couple of hours. I did have help screwing in the small screws in the back since I was getting tired at that point in the evening but it was really very simple. I'd highly recommend this unit.

Mantle and electric fire place is the easiest i have ever assembled. dowel rods and a few lil screw bolts. looks decent, has a darker stain than i wanted, is not real wood. it is particle board with oak face. a little expensive but is not an eye sore.

This is a wonderful mattress and I'm thrilled with it! It turned my normal queen sized platform bed into a waterbed, giving me the best of both worlds. This mattress allows you to pick the bed you want, buy normal sheets, and still have a waterbed.

The water bladder is well protected. There are foam side rails that are at least 2 inches thick and there is a soft pillow on top of it that's easily an inch thick. This is great for people like me who have cats because it's impossible for my cats to knead the bed with their claws and puncture the mattress.

The only "problem" that I have with it is the instructions say to put the zipper end at the foot of your bed and you have to run the power cord for the heater out through the zipper so you can't close the zipper completely. I flipped the mattress so the zipper end is at the headboard so that the power cord for the heater is next to the wall instead of in the middle of the room.

Summary: A real time saver for cleaning the numerous spills stains and messes from kids and pets. Semi-Automatically (see details) cleans vomit and other unpleasant messes.

We have 3 kids (ages 2, 4 and 7) and 2 cats. One of our cats (Pukey cat, AKA Natasha) is a Siamese and vomits regularly. Our youngest is potty trained but still doesn't fully comprehend the concept of wiping one's behind on toilet paper. Need I say more? We're using this thing perhaps three times a week.

This device is a bit larger than you'd expect. At approx 8"x16"x16 it's about as big as a small canister vacuum.

It cleans an 8" circle with each cycle. This is typically good enough, when a mess is just larger, I find that it's easier to use the hand attachment (which also has a sprayer) to clean the "outlier" than to run another cycle. With a fresh pot of cleaning solution and an empty collector, it will run 4 cycles. Although it has a "Surface stain" and a "Set-in Stain" cycles, I have yet to find an organic stain (Vomit and stuff from the other end) that needed the "Set-in stain" cycle (which scrubs for six minutes instead of three.) We're pretty good at keeping food on the tile and hardwood floors so far.

The carpet we've used it on are the very short berber (Basement) ~3/8" and 1/" nylon carpet, all light colored / off white. One is a "twist" carpet, the other a pretty standard style

Here are some tips for using it:

1) Use warm water to help soften dried on stains. This one doesn't have an automatic heater (there is a model that does)

2) Don't feel like you need a lot of cleaning solution. The warm water gets out most organic stains on the first try.

3) After each cycle the circle is pretty wet. Use the hand hose to suck out the excess water.

4) Rotate the upper cord stowage hook to quickly remove the cord all at once.

5) Be careful where you put it when you're done you're supposed to be able to leave water in the (clean) water tank and it's not supposed to leak but we have found that occasionally it will drip or leave a few tablespoons of water on the floor. Some of this is probably residual water in the hoses. We wouldn't want to leave it on a hardwood floor where this might be an issue.

A couple of minor complaints:

1) The hand attachment isn't the easiest to remove and re-attach. It would be nicer if the button was larger.

2) The cleaning solution tank is no terribly stable. Be careful not to tip it over before putting the cap on Don't ask me how I know this.

3) The unit is pretty big and storage is always tight

4) Despite the "Microban" the hose still gets a moldy/mildewy layer of crud super nasty. We run a pint of hot water with a little bleach through once a month. Run it through 3-4 times while vigourously shaking the hose and it breaks all that crud off. Then rinse.

I received this through the Amazon Vine program, if you found this review helpful or have questions or comments, please let me know!

As a dog breeder, I needed something to pickup the occasional "oops" on the floor. I had originally had a Little Green Spot Machine. I didn't like that you had to use the hand brush, but I REALLY objected to the fact that when you cleaned organic messes, it stunk so bad you couldn't have it in the house with you, no matter what you did (baking soda) etc.

Bissell finally got it right! The dirty water tank is treated with microbicide--stops that awful smell--and I believe the formulas have some special fresheners in them, because there is not any kind of a smell anymore. Hooray!

I also had a couple of spots of "carpet of horror" near my desk--red wine, chocolate and coffee, cigarette ashes and probably a dog mark too, all together--since the dogs would go up into my desk chair and try to have a "drink" of whatever I had. Clean on the first try! My goodness.

I purchased a Bissell Spot Bot last month and I have two cats and a puppy and we are using the spot bot 2-3 times a week. I love it and it really works, on set-in stains and surface stains. Yes, it leaves "crop circles" in your carpet, but if you use the hose after you clean the spot you can pick up more water and you can also brush the carpet so you can't see the circles anymore. If you are doing large areas or more than 4 spots you may get tired or adding and empty the water. For the 3 minute cycles you can do about 4-5 before you have to empty and add new water.

Honest reviews on BISSELL Spotbot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner with Deep

We have had a SpotBot for years and just replaced it with this newer model. Apparently this is the new, redesigned model of the previous model, which Amazon now says is not available. In some ways, we like the older model better The new "C" shaped formula container is harder to handle and holds less liquid. But this device is a real time and money saver. We have two Boxers and they are pretty well housetrained, but occasionally we have problems unexpected vomiting here, an overnight diarrhea there and you are looking at significant carpet cleaning bills, even if you go through the inconvenience of renting a machine at the grocery store. With SpotBot, the problem is solved in less than 5 minutes (10 if you have to mix up the formula). For "just happened" surface stains, the Bissell Pet Formula seems to work OK, but the 2-formula, OxyGen2-based mixture seems to work better for set in stains that somehow missed your detection for a day or two (on the back side of the dining room table, for example). Pick up any solids with paper towels (which we put in a Ziplock bag before we throw in the trash, to avoid odors) and put the SpotBot to use and like magic, your carpet generally looks like new. A stubborn stain might take a back-to-back second application. My wife loves this machine and would not be without it as long as we have dogs. When you need it, you really NEED it! One last tip: Shop around locally for the SpotBot. We found it on sale in a local big box store for half of the price being asked here!! Sorry, Amazon!

I'd give this 4 or 5 stars. I was hesitant when I read some of the other reviews, but have been please so far.

I bought this because I have a toddler and a dog and until just recently a sick cat.

Based on some of the negative reviews that I read, I will address how I handled the things I took as warnings:

1It does make a clean spot if your carpet is kind of dirty. I live in a rental, so am not going to super clean their carpets, but I prefer light spots over puke spots.

2Clean up the chunks with a rag or paper towel before using the vacuum and 'spreading' it around. If you do the cleaning you can do by hand, it doesn't spread it around like another reviewer complained.

3After using, I run clean water through the hose and wash out the attachment if I used it. I also empty the dirty reservoir and rinse out several times after each use. It hasn't had any odor like another reviewer complained. I also found that the bottom that the dirty reservoir sits on can use a wipe to dry it and remove any dirty stinky water.

4I did find that the carpet was pretty wet after the automatic cycle, so I use the hose attachment to vacuum up the excess.

The tank does fill up after 5 or so basic cycles. The only thing that annoys me about it is that it keeps beeping after it finishes, forcing you to go push the off button. I guess this is good, because then I don't go to bed leaving the stinky water int he dirty reservoir.

My air conditioner blower stopped working and when I found that the motor was still good and the thermostat was good, this was all that was left. Connected it up, and voila, air.

I used this on a G20RQ2/3 Lennox whisper heat unit when my BCC2 LB-65126A caught on fire. This is the first day, but It works flawlessly and exactly the same as the old unit straight out of the box. "Plug and Play." My furnace guy was almost twice the price for a similar part. If you can stand to wait for regular shipping I would recommend getting this 48k98 circuit board. Also, if you know anything about attaching wires to identical terminals, this is very "do it yourself." As long as you can troubleshoot that your problem is with your original blower circuit control board, and turn your breaker off. Item arrived on the first estimated day (Friday when ordered on Monday).

Update 01/2012: Still working great after over a year of constant use (heat and AC). I'm very happy with this product. You can't beat the price, and it's not hard to do yourself.

Honest reviews on Lennox 48K98 OEM Control Circuit Board

I have a Lennox G20Q5/6e-125-2 furnace that had a the blower control board go bad in it. The board number was BCC2-1 REV C LB61708a . I couldn't find that exact number on any replacement list so contacted discountfurnacefilter.com who very quickly and on New Years eve mind you, called Lennox directly and replied that this board would work. It was nearly a perfect wire for wire match except for one. My old one had a "T" connection between the 24v and the "C" connection. This one has the 24v and 2 "C's" . Not wanting to screw it up I spent some time looking at it. When I flipped the board over to see just where this C went I saw that both c's were together on the same branch just as the T and C on my old one. So my old T wire went on the middle c wire and the furnace fired up and works as good as new ! yay ! 7 or 8 years ago the same thing happened and not having the time or desire to do it myself I called the local furnace repair man. They sent someone one over who looked at it for awhile then ordered a new board. $500 later my furnace was working. After that experience I thought I would try it myself since all it is is changing a board. It took about 20 minutes to do and cost only $69.50. Much better than being robbed by the repair man.

It is beautiful and feels like real brick, as well as looks like real brick but it does need a hearth under it so that the heat can generate higher and it will look really real. It was delivered undamaged except for a ring mark on the granite mantel which looks like someone put a cup or glass on. I haven't tried to get it out but I am sure it will buff out. I love it regardless of the little things I want to do with it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program GreatCo's 50" LED fireplace is a wonderful addition to my home. It gives off a great amount of heat, that can be controlled and put at various settings, and has warmed up a perpetually cold room. But more than that, this fireplace is just incredibly beautiful and really adds something special to the room. The rear back lighting creates a spectacular display and the 'fire' itself looks great, absolutely stunning. One minor drawback is that the instruction booklet wasn't as helpful as it could have been when mounting it, but other than that I am really impressed. If you are thinking of adding an electric fireplace to your home you should really consider GreatCo's fireplace. You will not be disappointed.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I hit the power button on the remote for the first time and this unit fired up, it lit up my bedroom and completely transformed the feel of the room. I felt I was in an expensive hotel room. I couldn't help but have a huge smile. I love it. The flames look real. The stones look like they are glowing orange hot. It's really surprising how real it looks. The unit is only about 5 inches deep, so it doesn't stick out far from the wall at all.

The box is quite large but I was able to move it by myself (about the size a 50 inch TV would come in). The unit is very well packed and protected. The unit is in two main pieces that are a lot easier to move and carry than the box. I carried each of the two pieces upstairs and leaned them against my bed. The instructions were straight forward except for the fact that they said to take the mounting bracket out of the box. My mounting bracket was screwed to the main firebox and had to be removed so I could mount it to the wall. This was a good way to package it, it just was different than what the instructions said. The mounting bracket was over 32 inches wide and has screw hole every couple inches. This allows you to position it to hit two wall studs. That is what I did. You can also use the included drywall wall anchors. I like to hit a stud whenever I can.

I made sure the mounting bracket was level and attached it to the wall with 4 screws (included). Once that is on the wall installation is super easy. The firebox fits onto slots/hooks on the mounting bracket. Just lift it on and it stays there. Then replace the two screws that held the firebox to the bracket on the bottom. This assures that it will not come off the wall. You also need to remove a small access panel on the bottom of the firebox and pull out the larger of the two wires. The smaller one is for an in the wall installation kit. The wire will extend through the hole in the access panel, so the panel can be put back on. Now you put the included two sets of stones along the bottom of the firebox on the little slanted shelf. There is a set of clear plastic like stones and a set of white real stones. On the first layer I put one white stone then one clear stone. This used up all the clear ones. Then I added a second row on top of the first of the white ones. The clear stones will pick up the orange light and glow orange hot like coals. Pretty cool.

Next the front glass panel fits on the firebox it fits into another set of slots. Push the bottom of the glass in and it will snap two pegs into spring loaded brackets. Almost done. Now stick your head under the unit and connect the wire coming out of the access panel to the one on the back of the glass panel. Finally plug her in and stand back. Hit the power button on the remote and watch your room be transformed.

The remote is awesome. On it you can:

Select 1 of 4 flame modes. Mostly the brightness changes. And yes the flames look real. I was really surprised.

Select 1 of 12 back light colors including one that cycles through all of them as well as off.

Select a timer to turn the unit off after x hours (variable number). A sleep function like on your TV.

Turn the heater on Level 1 (750 watts) Level 2 (1500 watts) and off. You do not need to run the heater.

Set the thermostat for the heater.

The remote has an LCD display.

Notes:

Installation was easy for me. I used a drill, screwdriver, level, and stud finder (battery one and long finishing nail to confirm).

The instructions refer to the mounting bracket as if it is loose in the box. Mine was screwed to the fire box and had to be removed so it could be mounted on the wall.

There looks to be an add on kit for mounting this fireplace in the wall.

The instructions say the unit needs 13 inches of space on the bottom and none on the sides and top. Bottom is due to the heater.

The heater on the high setting will use all the power on a standard household circuit, so be aware of that so you're not blowing the circuit breaker all the time.

The firebox has power and mode buttons on the side.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was really intrigued by this, because I've never seen a wall-mount LED fireplace before. "Would it look like a TV? Would it heat like a fireplace?" the anticipation nearly killed me.

It showed up in a box that seemed to scream "I'm a 50" TV! STEAL ME!", though I happened to be home when it arrived. I was a bit surprised by how heavy it was -certainly heavier than a 50" LCD / LED television, arguably heavier than a similarly-sized plasma TV.

As far as looks go, I want to love this, and being an 80's kid, I absolutely do. It's like watching the Fire Channel on an HDTV, which reminds me of the old VHS aquarium tapes. The backlight is... prominent, making me want to fish out my old neon telephone, paint my walls turquoise and pink, and rock some Miami Vice: Season One. But therein lies a fairly serious problem. Even for contemporary style aficionados, it's hard to overcome the gadgety feel GreatCo seems to convey. And if you're not single and embracing your midlife crisis, you may find that your interior decorating committee objects to the style.

On the functional side, I was fairly impressed by how heat was radiating. It isn't like a fireplace, but it's less obvious than an electric space heater. Where it's just like an electric heater, is in the expense. Even with light usage, I noticed my electric bill climbing upwards.

In the right house with the right decor and the right person, you could pull this off. If you're not dead-on, you're going to find yourself stuck with a dangerously kitschy appliance that's expensive to run. Be careful, Crockett.

Honest reviews on GreatCo 50" Gallery Linear Electric LED Fireplace. Includes LED

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This fireplace works wonders on our mezzanine level of our converted loft home. The large second floor master-suite has about 450 sq. ft. but, does not have a radiator. This fireplace makes it toasty, there are two different heating levels to choose from. The flames look real and the ambient LED lighting looks great. installation is pretty straight forward, attach the bracket to the wall (first remove it from the fireplace), hang the main unit and attach the glass portion. Great addition to the room when adding a vented fireplace is not an option.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My box was delivered with a big dent in the front side where the glass was packed. When I opened the box, I fully expected the glass to be cracked or broken but it was perfect, which speaks highly for the shipping container.

I was thinking this would be the size of a 50" TV but it is a bit larger. The dimensions are 50" wide and 26" tall, which is probably the size of a 55" TV. It can be mounted on or recessed inside the wall. Personally, I would never build something like this into the wall because if it ever breaks or you get sick of it, you now have a huge hole in the wall. Fortunately, it is pretty slim (6" deep) so mounting it on the wall is perfectly fine.

The instructions are definitely lacking but fortunately, it is pretty straightforward to install. To install, you will need a drill, 1/8" drill bit, Philips screwdriver bit and preferably a level and stud finder. Also, you will need a few paper towels and glass cleaner to clean the glass front. Be sure to clean the inside of the glass before you mount it as it is quite dirty from shipping. A helper is recommended but you could install this yourself if need be. The unit is quite heavy but the weight is mainly due to the glass front. The firebox is separate and that is what you mount to the wall. Once you mount and level the box, you add the included clear and white stones to the bottom frame, then the glass front hangs over and attaches to the box with 4 hooks and snaps into the bottom. You must connect the backlight cable before you snap the bottom into place. There are two screws to lock it in place and you are done. I would strongly advise against using the wall anchors, as this weights about 70 lb. so be smart and bolt it to two studs with the 4 screws (included).

The glass front is elegant and the look of the flame is more realistic than other electric fireplaces I've seen. From across the room, it looks fairly realistic. Up close, it is not going to fool anyone but I've never seen an electric fireplace that would.

The remote has a temperature display, which defaults to degrees Celsius. After pressing the power button, you can hold the temperature button for 3 seconds to change it to Fahrenheit. The remote also controls the flame brightness (toggles between 3 levels), heater high or low, backlight color and timer. You can also turn heat and flame on and off from 2 buttons on the right side of the unit.

Overall, this is a nice fireplace. I think it is expensive for what you get but the front is a piece of solid glass so I'm sure that is a good part of the cost. I took a star off for the terrible instructions and the fact that the mounting bracket was different from what was shown in the instructions. Also, the bracket for mounting inside the wall was not included, although the instructions said it was. I doubt many people will mount this inside the wall anyway.

I recently installed this heater in my garage and I live in the cold state of Minnesota. This heater doesn't provide any more heat then a standard heater even though it is 5000 watts. I had to put a 240 volt, 30 amp circuit in to run the heater. The heater is ok but nothing special.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The product apears well built and worked very well for about 24 months. Now the higher wattage element is burned out on both heaters so they only work on low. They both burned out within a week of each other which makes me think it is a manufacturing problem. It is an extremely expensive heater and a very expensive repair. I plan to buy another brand for less than the cost of the repair. Thanks Cadet.

Best Deals on Cadet 5,000-Watt Portable Garage Heater

I just ordered a second CADET RCP502S The Hot One, for my garage shop. Superior to every other small heater that I investigated. Excellent engineering. Having two settings makes it very versatile. For a larger space I use the high wattage setting to reach the temperature I want, then reduce the wattage to maintain that temperature the thermostat works. And it is way the best looking garage heater.

Honest reviews on Cadet 5,000-Watt Portable Garage Heater

I like this heater and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good, reliable electric heater.

My garage is just over 500sq.ft. and uninsulated. It takes the chill out of the air from about 40 degrees F on up. Below that, don't look at it helping much unless your garage is insulated. It's helped me get a lot of things done when it would be too cold to otherwise.

overall a good product. keeps towels warm and dry. use a timer so it comes on few hours a day prior to and after my shower.

As a towel warmer and a towel dryer, this product only deserves two stars. The only part of the towel that gets heated is the contact point where it directly hangs. The parts that drape down don't get heated at all, despite the middle bars. The bars themselves do get hot to the touch, but apparently it doesn't transfer to the towel well. I've tried layering and even that doesn't work well. Besides, who wants to go through the hassle of stacking a big bundle of towels on top and then taking them all off just to get to the first layer? The best way I've been able to make use of this is wrap roll the towel around the top bar. That's been semi-satisfactory. But even with this technique, I get a towel with a warm center and a decrease in warmth to the ends. It takes about a half hour to warm the outer frame of the rail to it's maximum and about a full hour for the middle sections to heat up. So about an hour is how long I would leave the towel on the warmer in the "wrap roll" configuration. Leaving it on longer doesn't really help much. How any company could pass this thing off as a serious towel warmer is beyond me.

As a towel dryer, you'd get quicker results putting your damp towel in a laundry dryer. And since the only part that gets heated is the contact point and not what drapes down, it takes hours to dry; a full day maybe. You'd probably get better results sun-drying!

EDIT: 12/6/11

I finally got tired of this crappy item and went and got a Brookstone Towel Warmer (the tall one) instead. What a difference! Brookstone's warmer works wonders. It was quicker and toastier! Sure, there's that heated plasticy smell every review seems to complain about but I don't mind and am sure will fade. At least my towel actually gets hot.

Best Deals on Jerdon RTC Warmrails Mid Size Wall Mounted or Floor Standing Towel

Was so excited to give my wife a towel warmer for Christmas as she is always cold coming out of our shower and she loved the one I had in my flat in the UK. Thought this one was a good buy as it could both be a standing unit or a wall-mounted (so that we could have a trial period before banging up my walls). At first, there was a strong smell, but that did dissipate quickly. Unfortunately, we have still yet to actually have a warm towel from using this product. We have tried many different configurations of towel shape, size, fold, weight. No matter what we do, the towel seems to gain little heat, which is disappointing as my towels in the UK were downright hot from a similar looking device. It could be that the crossbars are notably narrower than the frame bar resulting in the towel never actually contacting the crossbars not sure. Unfortunately this one will become a showpiece in our basement.

Honest reviews on Jerdon RTC Warmrails Mid Size Wall Mounted or Floor Standing Towel

I purchased this model since it had the smallest overall footprint and for the dual option of having it be free-standing or wall-mounted. We've been using it free-standing for the past few weeks and are pretty happy with it. Having dry, warm towels in the morning is great! We hang our two showel towels on it, using the lower bars and then put a third towel on the top bar to cover the other two and keep the heat in. The towels aren't uniformly warm, but definitely drier than our older method (hanging them on a hook). The satin nickel finish works nicely in our bathroom (no shiny chrome).

In free-standing mode, the rack moves slightly front-to-back. It's in no danger of tipping over or anything but it was disconcerting at first since I thought I hadn't installed the feet correctly or tight enough. This movement does make it easier to tilt the rack forward slightly away from the wall when hanging towels on it. And be careful: the metal gets pretty hot to the touch.

I had one small problem occur just last week: one of the plastic hold covers on the side (where the horizontal rails connect to the vertical ones) just popped out. I found it on the floor under the rack and it wouldn't snap back into place. It was almost as if the heat of the rack warped it slightly. I've sent an e-mail to customer support to see if I can get a replacement part sent to me.

I have used this small heater at my bedside without real benefits. i now use it in my small 8x6 office. It barely keeps my hands warm. But Ive kept it just for that purpose to try to get a bit of warmth for cold fingers.

Had two of these in three months. Uneven heat, although warm there was a four degree variation in temp. with wireless thermostat. Gas valve failed on both new units within a month of installation, the second two days before Christmas. Also there is no flame adjustment, when on it is on full tilt. The only reason it got one star is because there was none lower. Very unhappy with this product.
