We use this device to control a furnace rated gas fireplace. It operates on battery as opposed to 110 volt wall current and that is a real plus when there is a power outage. Recently we purchased a second one of these devices based on two years of success with the first device. The second device operates a fireplace at a vacation home that is subject to power outages. Because it can be set to monitor the temperature and operate the fireplace without 110 volt current, it provides a backup heat source when the power is out and the temperatures are below freezing. This is important for a vacant home and it is helpful when the home is occupied. Be aware though that the fan on the fireplace will not run during a power outage so this device does not overcome that issue. FYI, batteries seem to last over a year so battery consumption is not an issue.
VERY EASY to set up and program...installation was a snap.
Excellent instructions...very much "plug-and-play".
Best of all...the wife is now toasty warm all the time, and
I'm not jumping up and down to turn the fireplace on and off.
Again...GREAT PRODUCT...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
After I installed the Skytech 3301, no more trouble, works perfect everytime, and so handy, you don't have to get out of your chair to turn up the heat.
Pro's: Easy for the home handyman to install. Works great.

I bought the Skytech 3301 remote transmitter and receiver box to replace my Avanti (model AHP304R2T) which had stopped working. The Skytech has pretty much the same features, which I was happy about, but I've been disappointed in the transmitter. The transmitter works fine, but the batteries keep falling out. They are held in by a small plastic plate. The plate has two tabs at one end and another at the other end. The top tab just isn't strong enough to keep the plate in place. The other thing I don't like about the Skytech is the display. My Avanti was easy to read. It had bold block letters on an almost white screen. The Skytech letters are as big, but not as bold and they are displayed against a dark gray screen.Best Deals on Fireplace Thermostat/Remote

Honest reviews on Fireplace Thermostat/Remote
The Skytech line of products is high quality at a reasonable price. I purchased the Skytech 3301 to replace the manual Skytech Control I have used for about 7 years and is still working like new. I wanted a Thermostatic Control so we would not have to cycle the logs On/Off and adjust the flame manually each time the desired temperature was reached. I contacted my local dealer, from which the logs were purchased, to see what would would work with our logs and was given the product number. I wanted to price shop before buying, local price turned out to be much higher. I ordered and it was received in a couple of days, it was as advertised however, when I removed the old remote control I noticed the two contacts were different sizes, neither of which was the size of the new one. I called Skytech, after a little discussion I learned I have a "Servo Gas Valve", i.e. read "ADJUSTABLE FLAME" and not compatable with the Thermostatic Remote Control "Either On or Off"! Unfortunately I had to return the Skytech 3301, none of the Thermostatic controllers will work with a Servo Valve. Sometime later I was in my local store and asked about the Remote Thermostat this time he told me "it would not work with our logs"! Bottom line be sure you have all the right information and ask questions before buying. Save everyone some time and money!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Fireplace Thermostat/Remote
I have a gas fireplace that had a wall thermostat located more than 25 ft. from the fireplace. Problem was sometimes the thermostat would lite the fireplace sometimes it wouldn't, very hit or miss. After I installed the Skytech 3301, no more trouble, works perfect everytime, and so handy, you don't have to get out of your chair to turn up the heat.

This fireplace is really pretty. I was worried about the plug showing under it but when mounted the front facing covers it if your electrical plug is right there. I would not recommend installing it flush as you wouldn't be able to use the controls on the side and could create a fire hazard. It does stick out 6 inches from the wall but isn't an eyesore in my opinion. I love this one versus the all black ones that look like a tv when turned off.

I bought this fireplace for my bedroom. the outside looks nice but the look of the fire "burning" is very unrealistic, boring, and provides poor ambience. i plugged it in and it immediately started making a loud noise as if two metal object were rubbing up against each other. This noise occured approx every 3 second. we also felt that this fireplace stuck out of the wall too far. long story short, we're returning it.Best Deals on Yosemite Home Decor - DF-EFP800 - Adobe 38 Wall Mount Electric
I just installed this 2 days ago in my bedroom, since its chllier than the rest of the house. I bought in combination with the style and the use of the supplemental heat. This is the equilvalent of heating your room with an easy bake oven. It only gives off enough heat if your standing DIRECTLY in front of it. Even a hair dryer would warm the room better. Also the remote can only be used if standing also DIRECTLY in front of it. The ambience is nice, and it does operate quiet enough. But really I can get a electric fireplace for 100 bucks that heats more effienctly. NOT WORTH IT AT ALLFriday, November 28, 2014
Reviews of Stonegate® Modena Fireplace and Entertainment Center
Was very challenging to put together--definitely needs two people to do it right. When finally got together, it looks really pretty and puts out reasonable amount of heat, but not enough to warm a large space. It holds a average size TV and VCR, so it both practical in addition to being pretty. Nice size--works well in a small room. Rich cherry color looks nice with the black accent.

Reviews of Comfort Zone® Compact Heater/Fan CZ35
this little thing works great for my room and the best part is the auto shut off when it gets to hot, plus theres a safety button on the bottom so if you pick it up or it falls over it will shut off automatically.
It is a light unit made of all cheap looking plastic. It has a anti-tilt feature which is nice. As a heat unit, this is probably good for supplement heat for a room at is already warm but wouldn't help much if it was a cold room.

I am amazed at how well this little fan heats up the entire room. In addition, it automatically shuts off if it falls or gets too hot. Fan is a little noisy. I recommend it.Best Deals on Comfort Zone® Compact Heater/Fan CZ35
The fan shot craps within the first ten minutes of operation. The heating element stayed on, even though fan wasn't running. Blew breaker. For the ten minutes it worked, the fan buzzed and rattled. Very cheaply constructed. This is not a quality product.Honest reviews on Comfort Zone® Compact Heater/Fan CZ35

It is a decent heater. It is not the best heater nor the worst. The controls settings are a bit vague. There are two one for the fan and the other for the temp control. The fan as two modes really. A fan without the heat and low or high. I found the heat even set on the highest setting really never was 'hot' it was tepid warm.It is a light unit made of all cheap looking plastic. Review of Source Green Heat 4-Element Infrared Heater
This is THE best little heater I have had in my life. It works very well. No problem keeping 500+ square feet more than warm and cozy on Low. Worth every dollar. I bought mine locally but wanted to voice my opinion/experience of this well built device. Life is better with this little box.
Peace
Don't buy this heater.

I would recommend this product for a small or medium sized bathroom. The combo light-heater-fan-night light is a great feature, don't forget to purchase the multi-function three switch control that goes with it. My handyman installed it and it's been working great so far.
Overall i was quite happy with it and its performance.
My biggest question is what the hell is a sone? for sound measurement?
My best guess is the the 0.9 sones equals around 45-49db
It will be several months before the system can be fully tested. Until then, just know that the specs LOOK good!

Conair GS4R Compact Fabric Steamer Reviews
I spent several months researching garment steamers and could not decide which one I wanted price vs. quality and which brand was best etc. So I decided to buy an inexpensive one and see if I liked it. Well... I love it and I'm so happy I didn't spend $200 on one either!
I took my 20% off coupon to Linens and Things and was able to compare several models side by side and CAUTION!!! the much more expensive Sharper Image model is the EXACT same as this one just a different color! As far as I could tell, this table top model was the same as the pro models but without the extension pole and with a smaller water tank I mean, how long are you going to be steaming anyway?
When I got it home, it was easy to assemble just stick the hose in, fill it up with water and turn it on. It took a few minutes actually I realized I hadn't been paying attention and filled it way past the max fill line ooops but it still never overflowed or leaked. As soon as the water started boiling, it began to put out a lot of very hot steam. I was a bit worried that the hose was too stiff but once the steam started flowing, it became very flexible.
For all the people that did not like the short poles on the more expensive models, the over the door hanger was perfect. The steam handle hangs on it and it is a much better design for long pants or dresses.
I steamed a pair of curtains, a bed skirt, my comforter (still on the bed), a shower curtain, and a pilgrim outfit. I ran the steamer for about 30 min. and when I stopped, the water level had just made it down to the max line. My biggest problem was that I ran out of things to steam! I was having so much fun watching the wrinkles disappear from all my stuff!! I did steam my hand once or twice at first but I quickly figured out how to stop doing that!
I got this steamer for just under $25 and I couldn't be happier!
I don't know how favorably this would compare to the fabric steamers in the $200 range, or how this would work for someone who wants to give up ironing altogether ... but this has definitely reduced my dry cleaning trips, and will help extend the life of some of my favorite clothes. Definitely a worthwhile investment at under $30!
After reading the instructions and setting my steamer up, the 1st thing I steamed was an old piece of velvet which had be folded and stored in a box for at least 10 years. I didn't expect this fabric to be recovered or restored into any usable condition as it was extremely wrinkled, but after just a few minutes of steaming it was as wrinkle-free and beautiful as the day it was bought.
I steamed many garments that day, cotton, poly, cotton blends, shirts, pants, skirts, etc. and of course, the velvet britches, cape, and dress I was making. I am extremely satisfied and happy with my steamer, it worked better than I hoped or expected on everything I steamed that day, especially the velvet.
On the silk, wool, and velvet garments and sweaters that I would never iron anyway, this steamer is fabulous and, on these types of garments, I would completely recommend the steamer with no reservations.
My only reservation is this...
If you are obsessive and compulsive about your shirts and/or pants being extremely crisp like me, you definitely will not want to abandon your iron. I was not able to get my shirts to look like they had been compulsively ironed and starched, but the wrinkles were removed and they looked nice. One good thing about this is that my teenaged son and daughter do not like the obsessively crisp starched look in their clothes but I don't like the "just rolled out of bed" look, this steamer will give you a nice happy medium neat but not compulsively so.
The Conair people could improve this product by making it more compact to store.

I love silk everything, so my dry cleaner loves me. Like many people, I take a boatload of items in every few weeks and hope they don't wrinkle again on the way home or in my closet ... the whole process is expensive, and this little steamer really helps save your clothes and your wallet. It generates a strong, steady flow of steam in about five minutes, and is easy to fill, carry, and store. With one max fill I was able to refresh three silk cardigans, smooth the wrinkles out of three silk blouses and a few of my husband's ties -a good 20 minutes of steaming. It comes with an over-the-door hanger, and two other attachments (brush and velour) that slide over the nozzle head. Instructions for the unit are clear, but nothing is said about the additional attachments. The steamer itself is thoughtfully designed -the nozzle hose coils around the unit, and the head locks into place on top of the steamer, and underneath the steamer is a built-in cord wrap for the power cord.I don't know how favorably this would compare to the fabric steamers in the $200 range, or how this would work for someone who wants to give up ironing altogether ... but this has definitely reduced my dry cleaning trips, and will help extend the life of some of my favorite clothes. O.K., it's probably not the best steamer in the world but for the price, it's a great value. I've only had it a little over a month and I've already found so many uses for it that it's more than paid for itself. I'm a knitter and find that it works beautifully for steaming and blocking my delicate handknits. Of course, it's great for other clothes too and my drapes never looked better. Tonight I used it to steam out an area rug that had been rolled up too long and had developed some serious creases and it worked like a charm. Now I only wonder why I waited so long to buy it.Honest reviews on Conair GS4R Compact Fabric Steamer
I'll start by saying I am an avid sewer and have been sewing for over 20 years but have never owned a steamer. I love my iron and the extremely crisp look of a nicely ironed garment. Why I finally decided I needed a steamer is because I was making several outfits out of expensive velvet that cannot be safely ironed without potential permanent damage to the velvet. After researching a variety of steamers, I decided upon this Conair Compact Fabric Steamer based mostly on the customer reviews and price. My only real concern was with the reports of the steamer "spitting" but at least one helpful reviewer commented that this problem was easily avoided by following the instructions and raising the hose occasionally to allow condensation to drain back into the tank (this is 100% effective in completely eliminating that issue my steamer NEVER spits on my garments!)After reading the instructions and setting my steamer up, the 1st thing I steamed was an old piece of velvet which had be folded and stored in a box for at least 10 years. This is a decent product for the price. Use it 6 times and it will have paid for itself in dry cleaning bills. I agree with the other reviewer who said that steaming is not a panacea, but is like ironing vertically rather than horizontally, and some time and energy are still required. However this product is really good for people who don't know how to iron. I've burned things trying to iron. I have found that you cannot really damage clothes with a steamer, and on that ground I find this to be superior to ironing. The Conair people could improve this product by making it more compact to store.

I purchased this heater for 40.00 at Walmart.
I love that it's digital, has the safety shut off switch if the unit is tipped and that it's efficient. I like that it has a thermostat and doesn't run constantly and that it's small, portable and attractive.
It really works well. Heats up a large size room quickly on the low 'e saver' setting.
I will be buying another one soon.
The day before I had brought home an inexpensive Holmes unit. It also didn't work. The fixed temp settings stopped working after the first use. It too went back.
I'm not having a whole lot of luck with space heaters. Our old Honeywell unit stopped working the other day. Miraculously, today it started working again. Go figure.

This is a great heater. I am actually going to buy another one for my craft room upstairs. I have this one down in my shop under my bench. I have had it now for 2 years and it's still running great. It goes all day long without any problems. It keeps my legs warm and I am able to dial in whatever temperature I want.
