The photos make this fireplace look MUCH more attractive than it actually is. The outside is very nice but the flame pattern is not even close to the photos.

The flames actually only go up about 4 inches from the bottom and are very hard to see, even in low lighting. As a matter of fact the reflection off the bottom shelf is easier to see than the actual flame pattern itself. And this reflection would disappear as soon as you placed the stones on the shelf, which I will not be doing because I am packing this thing up and sending it back asap.

Also the photos make the unit look much more "flush mounted" than is possible. Looking at the photos you see a SMALL shadow around the outside lip of the unit, but all together this thing sticks out from the wall over 6 inches. And you can't set it into the wall because it vents to the sides and top so it would be a fire hazard.

This unit is especially disappointing because we have two other electric fireplaces in the house already, and we are VERY happy with those! The other units are the free standing kind built into fireplace surrounds.

The second star is only because the unit is very attractive from the front, but in the "off" position!

We were pleased with this product. We bought it for our bedroom and it puts off a nice ambiance. It looks just as it does in the picture, but I do agree it sticks out a little bit further than expected. We initially thought we would recess it in the wall, but the heater blows out the top so that is out of the question. It would not prevent me from buying it again.

It doesn't put off a ton of heat, but it will get the room (with the door closed) cozy after it's on a bit. The flames are sufficient. It comes with a remote control which can be used to dim the flames or make them brighter.

I would purchase this product again. It would be perfect for a 3 seasons room or bathroom with soaking tub.

In my effort to find an attractive "space heater" for my kitchen I found this item. I do like it and it is serving its purpose. That said, I found it a little beat up upon arrival but something I could repair myself. Secondly, the unit really needs to be placed on a wall that is only seen from the front side as it protrudes a bit from the wall which makes it unattractive if you enter the room seeing if from a profile. My remedy since I did not have a wall as described was to corner it. I built a corner support unit so it is properly suspended off the floor. I think they should offer one for purchase for those consumers who would like this but need to corner it.

Honest reviews on Concord Electric Fireplace Heater with Remote

Love the look this wall fireplace adds but not much heat from the product. It seems that all the heat goes up and we never quite feel it. Love the ambiance it creates.....our guests do compliment it's presence! Happy customer

I got this heater at Walmart about two years ago as an exchange for another heater that was recalled. I rarely used it until a few weeks ago. Seemed to work ok, not the best heat output but ok. But when I went to unlug the cord, the plug was so hot it burned my hand. Reported it to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, but haven't heard back from anyone.

We bought three of these three years ago in an emergency when our main heater blew. The following winter, we tried to reuse them, and two out of three were broken. The one that did make it to the second year died soon after. I remember when things used to last more than 90 days. Avoid this product.

I use this in my babies room at night to keep him warm, it's a little loud when it kicks on and makes a scratchy sound sometimes but my baby sleeps right through it. it can warm his room on low, on the middle setting to about 80 degrees in 6 hours. pretty dang good in my opinion.

These Duraflame Radiant Heaters are THE BEST. I do not know if they have been discontinued, but they are hard to find. I have three at home. They are about ten years old and still working. I even use one in my horses' shed in the winter. The heater takes great abuse -dust, hay, horses chewed up the plug -and it still works (I replaced the plug, of course). The new "toy" heaters in the market today do not compare to these old Duraflame Radiant Heaters. I am hoarding these heaters; every time I find one I buy it in case one of my old heaters finally breaks down.

I love these. They are great for getting a fire roaring and help keep it going if your wood is a little damp or green. Big bonus is price and the fact that you don't have to lug them home from the store...they're delivered to your door with free shipping. Can't beat that!

These logs are really, really great. Pricey, but great. The crackling is a real nice feature and if you put two in, you'll have a nice fire for about 3 hours. Stir it around a bit then and you'll get another 1/2. Soooooo convenient!

Best Deals on Duraflame Stax Stackable Crackling 6-Pack 3.6LB Firelogs

I've tried a lot of different "fake" logs for my fire pit and these are, by far, the best. They light easily and there is little or no odor -which is not the case with many of the more popular brands out there. This makes the experience so much better when you are inhaling fumes which smell noxious.

Highly recommend these. I've ordered and re-ordered!

Honest reviews on Duraflame Stax Stackable Crackling 6-Pack 3.6LB Firelogs

Love these. Stax light easily and burn clean, with very little ash at the end. Last approximately 2 1/2 hours. I use these in an outside fire pit and have no complaints.

We were looking for a small heater for our RV to take the chill off without having to run our furnace. This is a perfect little heater for us! It is small. Doesn't have a metal grate or any exterior metal parts that get hot. It is quiet! The heating elements never get hot enough to glow red. The "smart" thermostat controls the level of heat produced by the element and the speed of the fan. This little guy can put out up to 5,120 BTU at 1,500 watts. It has tip-over protection and a double level of overheat protection. We have a little RV dog and these features make it a very safe heater to have in our RV and we felt good about it being made in Canada! We can't yet comment on durability at this time.

It's tiny! When the package arrived, I thought it was far too small. I'd had another model that was already small and that one was about 50% larger. However, if I place the heater near where I'm working, it puts out a gentle stream of warmth that feels so good!

I bought 3 of these to replace existing 25 year old wall heaters in a relative's basement. I was an easy direct replacement. Same exact size hole, same wire location, it was relatively simple. They heat very quickly. The only drawback to these new heaters is they are considerably louder that the heaters they replaced. Fan vibration could be improved.

I bought this steam mop for my wife because she was dying to try one out, with a baby tearing up the kitchen and all. However, this specific mop didn't even come close to where it needed to be in order to get the job done.

The main problem here is that steam mop technology just isn't quite there yet. The steam alone isn't enough to get a lot of stains up, but since you can't use any type of chemicals in conjunction with this mop, it does very little to get the floor clean. Even worse, the process of steaming leaves a fine silt-like film all over the area after you're done. You pretty much have to break out the old mop and bucket just to clean up the mess that this "new and improved" mop made. I believe someone was good to try to apply steam cleaning to a handheld mop, but the process of just squirting the steam out of the bottom with nothing more than a cloth cover to clean the floor isn't really a good idea. Match that up with the $90 price tag, at least when I purchased it, and it makes this mop pretty pathetic as far as value is concerned.

Overall, please save your money. You'd be better to buy a large steam vacuum for a little more that will at least have rotating brushes or some other gizmo that actually breaks down stains and stuff on the floor, instead of just relying on steam alone. I think this is pretty common with all of the steam mops out there, so again...please save your money.

Kalorik Steam Cleaner

After about the 3rd use, my steam cleaner overheated after about 5 minutes of use. It was so hot it burned my finger to hold the button down. I didn't try to take it back because I no longer had the receipt plus I had it a few months before I even used it. I tried it again after about a month and it did the same thing. Money thrown away.

Honest reviews on Kalorik SFC 24713 Steam Mop with Removable Water Tank

This product only does a fair job of cleaning. I have tile that is less than one year old and the grout only looked a little cleaner after 3 uses.

It leaves a film of water on the surface that takes at least 15 minutes to dry and some spots have to be wiped up by hand.

Would I buy this again, no. Jean

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Kalorik SFC 24713 Steam Mop with Removable Water Tank

This mop seems well built and the handle is much sturdier than others.

The pad stayed on well during use and washed well.

It heats up fair temp wise and while its not super hot steam wise, it did remove grime and made a decent amount of moisture. If you over steam it will leave the floors pretty wet. My main complaint with its use was design..the triangle head wants to lift off the floor in front as you pull the mop back..and the small head, while being perfect for bathrooms and baseboards etc... ends up being too small for larger floor surfaces, takes a long time to cover the entire area.

I gave the mop to my son who has smaller square footage to clean and will be trying another steam mop. The jury still seems to be out on this whole steam mop revolution. I think the over-all technology and construction still needs to be improved based on the many, many reviews I have read in here.

On that note..I greatly thank amazon for the review system here, it is a very helpful tool for consumers.

(EDIT) I payed $75 for this mop, from Amazon, now I see its been reduced considerably and is sold by another company, I assume they are being clearanced out.

This is a better fire place than most but as a TV stand it is pretty average. The construction is good and it is very well made, but the drawers are painfully small and basically pointless. I do have to say though, it doesn't cost very much to operate. Even with the flames going and the unit running pretty much steadily throughout the day and the evening, this is costing only around thirty dollars per month according to what I can figure out on my power bill. I love the realistic look of the flames and that you can set the different settings individually to make just the right fire look. The cord is nice and long and the cabinets are nice. I would recommend it.

Good for boiling water but seems to drip but not leak, maybe condensation or sweat. I wouldn't try soup, to difficult to clean. Boiling water for condensed soups would be my suggestion but that means another seperate container/cup to mix...more to do. Or you could buy a nice thermos here on Amazon that's gauranteed to keep anything hot or cold for at least 8 to 12 hours. Bissell 9300-P ProHeat 2x Turbo Carpet Deep Cleaner

My old Hoover steam cleaner just quit working so I decided to buy a new one. I looked at Hoover reviews and Bissell reviews. In the past I had one of those old Bissell cleaners that hooked up to the sink, lots of cables, cords, etc. Cleaned great but what a nightmare. Anyway, I was ready to get another Hoover because I read

bad reviews of the Bissell, but there were also good reviews so I took a chance. I LOVE this machine. The two in one (bladder and dirty water) worked great. I didn't have to lug around two separate containers like in the Hoover. It worked fine. The dirty water did not contaminate the clean. I also like the fact that it heats the

water another 25 degrees. The Hoover water got cold pretty quick. The Hoover had rotating round brushes. I

never liked that. I felt it just pushed the dirt around on the floor and didn't pick it up. The Bissell has the roller rotating brushes and boy does it pick up the dirt and also grooms the carpet. It looks new. There were chunks

of dog hair and rug fiber around the floor. I didn't mind picking it up since I knew that hair was no longer in the carpet. I guess my vacuum cleaner needs to be updated too. I vacuum almost every day because of our

dog but obviously lots of fur was still in the rug. The Hoover never picked it up like that. Yes, I have only

used it once but I have a feeliing this will be a long relationship. Oh yes, you can really get the whole thing clean. I could never get the fibers and hair from under the cap of the Hoover (area where dirty water is sucked up). With the Bissell I could take it all apart and wash everything! I am sold.

I've had six carpet cleaners over the past twenty years and frankly I'm always a little shocked when I meet people who don't have one. With really good carpet cleaners available for two hundred or less, its a no-brainer. You'll save money on professional cleaning and keep the carpet looking good for longer before replacement. Of course the real benefit is that you don't have to walk on disgusting carpets.

My last cleaner was also a Bissell upright of similar design and I was pleased with the results it gave and its durability. I think we had it for seven years until it finally gave up the ghost. The 9300 kept all the best ideas from this earlier model and fixed most if not all of its defects. Built-in water heater? Check. Fresh and gray water in the same tank? Check. Vacuum cleaner-style rotating brushes? Check. Upright design with tools on board? Check.

What's better is more brushes. I've read some reviews that appeared to be written out of ignorance about what's important in a cleaning system. Detergent with water is essentially a solvent, and solvents work best with soak-time. Fill a sink with cold, soapy water, dump your dishes in and go away for a few hours. When you come back, you can generally just rinse them off--the solvent has done its job, but it takes time. You can reduce that time with heat. Do the same thing with very hot water, and the dishes will be rinseable within 20-30 minutes. You can further reduce that time with mechanical action--rub your pots, pans and dishes with a sponge and they are clean in seconds. These are the things you need to look for in a carpet cleaner.

1. Detergent delivery and removal. The 9300 does a great job at this. The detergent tank is easily visible at the back of the power head and four settings allow you to control the mix--more detergent for heavily soiled areas, to none at all for rinsing. The design of the vacuum uptake is very similar to the older models, and works very well by being in position buried in the carpet pile. What's really improved is the fact that its now part of the tank cover, easily removed and rinsed. Its not just a clean-freak thing--keeping this tool clean insures consistent performance every time you use the machine. It was a real chore to clean the old one properly, and on a couple of occasions I had to disassemble it.

2. Heat and brushes. This is a big deal--far more important that a powerful vacuum motor in my opinion. The water is twenty or so degrees short of boiling and the 9300 has 12--count 'em, twelve rotating brushes! I was amazed how much better the 9300 was over the older model I had in getting the carpet clean in just a pass or two. I figure that I cut a third off the time it used to take me to clean all the broadloom. It might be as much as a 50% reduction, but I'm still in the rhythm of older machine so I tend to go over a section more than I probably have to.

Other aspects of the 9300 design are more subtle, but make for a much better experience. The tool holder is a huge improvement, and the package I got had a lot more tools, but what I really noticed was the handling--yeah, the 'handling'. I suspect its the brushes, the unit just glides so much easier than the previous model I had. Cleaning the carpet has always been my job because the equipment was always so bulky and the effort required just a tad too robust for my sub-five foot spouse. Its still a beast compared to some of the ultra-light-weigh vacuum cleaners out on the market, but its a tame beast. An average sized woman shouldn't have any problem handling it. Speaking of handles, there's a new one about half way up the machine that's a head-smacker idea (as in, why didn't they think of this before?) I've got two levels, and taking the old model up the stairs could put your back out if you weren't careful. Now I just grab the middle handle and its a breeze.

Everything is better. I was so impressed I wrote a review on Amazon--who does that?

Some caveats. My main complaint about Bissell over the years is that their units are too lightly built. I take care of my tools, but I've broken something on every Bissell I've ever had. The 9300 is better, but still a bit delicate in parts. Its not a flaw, its a compromise--a necessity for a tool that benefits enormously from lighter weight. Don't throw this unit around--treat it like a good camera. Clean it thoroughly and store the tools properly before putting it away. If you take care of it, there should be no reason you won't still be cleaning carpets with it in five to ten years.

Best Deals on Bissell 9300-P ProHeat 2x Turbo Carpet Deep Cleaner

The Bissell ProHeat 2x works like a champ. It removed tons of dirt and grime as well as loose carpet fibers. The added scotchgaurd in the carpet cleaning formula also ensures months of stain free living. My only con would be that there isn't an indicator for the water/cleaner level.

Honest reviews on Bissell 9300-P ProHeat 2x Turbo Carpet Deep Cleaner

We had ours for almost two and a half years. It worked really great until a few months ago. It just seems it has lost its suction and is leaving more and more water in the carpet, which also means, leaving more and more dirt. However, I figure the cost of it is basically one commercial cleaning. We have animals and it has saved us several hundreds of dollars over the two years it worked good, not to mention, just keeping the carpets and furniture looking and smelling cleaner. I am going to go out and buy another one. I don't think you can beat this machine for its cost and ease of use.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program

See video for all of the highlights but for me the Towel warmer is a nice addition to our morning regimen.

Towels are nice and toasty warm when they come out.

My only complaints are

I wish the unit was a little bigger, so that a twin size blanket would fit

The unit can be used for back-to-back showers. After a use the unit must cool for about 20 minutes.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm not really the spa type, but there was something appealing about the idea of stepping out of the shower to a warm towel, so I decided to give the Jerdon Towel Spa Towel Warmer a try. The smaller than expected unit (about the size of a small trash can) promised a hot towel in about 10 minutes. Here's how it fared:

Day 1: I use the largest, fluffiest towels available, and I had some doubts that it would fit inside the Towel Spa. To my surprise, the folded towel fit nicely. Unfortunately when the heating cycle completed, only the parts of the towel that directly touched the unit's walls were hot. The rest of the towel was cool. The uneven heating was not what I was hoping for. There was also an unpleasant burning plastic kind of smell that really killed the whole "spa experience" atmosphere (and perhaps a brain cell or two). I also noticed that the outside of the unit got pretty hot.

Day 2: I decided to toss my son's smaller towel in the Towel Spa while he was in the bath. That worked much better, and I had a nice, hot (but not too hot) towel ready for him when he was done. He gives the Towel Spa a big thumbs up! The smell was still pretty strong, and I had to keep my son away from the too-hot Towel Spa, which wasn't easy in his smaller bathroom.

Day 3: I know this isn't what the Towel Spa was designed for, but fond memories of just-out-of-the-dryer clothes prompted me to toss in an undershirt and a pair of boxers. Now that's something to remember in the dead of winter! I could see using it for my son's pajamas as well. The smell persisted, but fortunately it doesn't seem to affect anything inside the Towel Spa.

Ultimately, drawbacks like external heat, that awful smell, and limited counter space outweighed the limited benefits (at least for me) of the Towel Spa, so I can't really give it a ringing endorsement. I can see using it in limited cases, especially in the winter, but overall it seems to fail as a luxury/spa item.

Best Deals on Heatwave Industries Towel Spa Towel Warmer

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is one of those items that I am reasonably sure I would never purchase for myself. However, after a trip to England (where this was a staple in the rooms) I thought it would be a nifty thing to have.

First off, the size, and shape of this item leaves a little to be desired. I would have preferred it be thinner and more elongated for easier placement in the bathroom. As it is, it seems cumbersome and always in the way.

Secondly, the controls for this leave a little to be desired. Something that should be rather simply, quickly falls into a guessing game of warm/ not warm. Also, if you fold the towel and place it into the warmer it seems to have trouble penetrating the inner parts of the towel. A good work around it to let the towl fall into the bin so that it's all scrunched up. This allows the towel to become heated throughout.

It does serve it's purpose, in that it does warm towels but seems to have some limitations. Now, I will say this caveat. When the Minnesota winter hits, I am intending to use it to warm up my hats, gloves, and socks and see how that goes. It may prove really useful for that. As a towel warmer for the average consumer I would give it three stars. Good concept, so-so execution. I'm just not sure this is something that people are going to say they 'have to have'.

Honest reviews on Heatwave Industries Towel Spa Towel Warmer

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a good idea and perfect for the home. The pluses:compact, warms the towel to a great temperture, easy to use and versitile. The minuses: compartment small for larger towels, takes 8 minutes to heat (so start it early if you want the towel warm when done with your shower) can't do two towels back to back, (the unit needs to cool first before warming the second.)

The warm towel is very nice. I can see myself warming up my scarf, hat, socks even a small light blanket on those freezing winter days. I hope the new model (if there is one) would have a larger compartment to accomodate larger towels.
