I like this heater. I have a table top propane heater and this heater puts out 3 times more heat and starts up almost immediately. The only down fault I have with this heater, is it does not look that great. Looks to much like a commercial tool instead of something you would like to see on your patio. Could try and conceal some of the wiring.

This is a great little heater. It puts off good heat directly in front of it, but a lot of heat escapes up. So it works great in my patio that is covered, but fair to ok out in the courtyard. The craftsmanship it self is simple and light weight. I would not say it is delicate, but all the components are light weight and not designed to withstand major abuse. It is easy to use, but would be awesome if it had click starters instead of using a long lighter. I have only used it a handful of times, but I would recommend it so far.

I didnt have this model but I bought 2 of another model.Right off the bat the built-in fans broke in them.One put out a chemical smell and one put out black soot all over the house.We replaced both of them and not with Charmglow.The regulator broke off of one of them also.See all the parts for sale all over the internet ? I think they are just in the parts biz.

This mantle is a beautiful dark oak with cherry undertones. The flames are realistic, and the logs look nice when the fireplace is on or off. You can feel the quiet heater blowing from a distance; it blows down and away. The reflected logs give the illusion of the flames dancing in the middle of a random pile of logs. Arrived in a timely manner, consistent with other orders placed through the Amazon website. Within 3 weeks, the item failed to properly operate, and when I contaced the seller, he was less than cooperative in attempting to rectify the order. Upon contacting Amazon directly, I received a credit to my account for the full price. It has been some years since I wrote this review, and I know not how things change over time, with respect to either products, or suppliers. I would prefer to remove this review, as I cannot attest as to its accuracy at this time, but I do not know how to do so.

Other than the multi-fit aspect of this timer it is just fine. Had to take my old timer out first to look at the original wire placement and color coding to determine which way to wire new timer, but it was pretty easy to figure out. there is really not to many ways to wire the new one.

The problem was 1 of two parts. Unfortunately, I ordered this one first and it did not fix the problem. Look for black residue around the Cold Control Thermostat and that will be the bad part. Good deal on this part though.

This is a better fire place than most but as a TV stand it is pretty average. The construction is good and it is very well made, but the drawers are painfully small and basically pointless. I do have to say though, it doesn't cost very much to operate. Even with the flames going and the unit running pretty much steadily throughout the day and the evening, this is costing only around thirty dollars per month according to what I can figure out on my power bill. I love the realistic look of the flames and that you can set the different settings individually to make just the right fire look. The cord is nice and long and the cabinets are nice. I would recommend it.

I did not purchase this AC from Amazon, I purchased it from Waldbaums just days ago. This is the worst air conditioner I have ever purchased. It is made of plastic and styro-foam and does not keep the room cool. I run it on high all night and the room is luke warm imagine if I tried to run it during the day when it is really hot! Save your money, even at $99.00, which I paid, it is a waste of money. I would of returned it but, I am a 65 year old women and it is quite heavy for me to handle. It was hard enough to bring it home.

I can't find this air conditioner any where. Aldi had one on sale just like this for $99.00 of course walmart has another brand for the same price. This one has more metal and is very reliable. Its very cold. Your local aldi might have some left! Hurry get one!

I just bought one of these to replace an identical one I'd purchased 20-25 years ago. The motor finally wore out after nearly daily use (during the cold season, which can be fairly long and occasionally severe in Oregon). It just quietly sits there, the thermostat maintaining whatever temp you like, year after year. It can really throw out the heat, too. I hardly ever have to turn the thermostat up over 1/4 of the way.

I'm going to find a replacement motor for my old one and keep it as a spare or put it in a different room. Probably be good for another 20 years.

It's just so nice to find something of quality that just works nowadays. I highly recommend this heater.

We have done over our basement several years ago into a lage family room. We have a wood burning stove there and have tried several small electric heaters when not wanting to build a fire. We purchased this heater with a 220 supply line. It works very well. It heats up the room quickly and then when you turn the thermostat down it only comes on as needed. It sits on carpet that does NOT heat up. I saw one that a friend had and he was very impressed so we are trying it. Have not yet received my electic bill since it has been installed only for about a week. Rochester New York

I got two of these about 15 years ago for heating a garage, and they were 10 years old when i got them. Mine are branded Rival but they are the same heater as this one. After 25 years one of the motors burned out this season, so I'm down to one. All in all I'd have to say that 25 years of winter operation in a dusty garage is pretty good performance.

As some of the other reviewers have noted, the fans are a bit noisy. The thermostat works well and seems to hold temperatures well. These units put out a lot of heat! I'm satisfied.

The things I like best about the Fahrenheat PT268 are the industrial look and the fact that it produces a good amount of heat. I use it for my main heat source in my 950 square foot home, along with smaller 120 volt heaters to help warm other areas. Even though the fan is a little noisier than others I've tried, I can overlook that for the money I save by not operating my furnace. What I dislike most about the heater is the thermostat; it just doesn't have enough sensitivity to maintain a constant temperature. I don't care for a 3 degree fluctuation in the temperature. The manufacturer seriously needs to consider adding a digital thermostat to make this a great heater.

We purchased this heater after our other, much older one, burned out. This heater is relatively small and runs pretty quietly, which is nice. But that isn't enough to compensate for the absurdly poor amount of heat that it puts out. We didn't expect much from a small room heater, but out of all of the room heaters that we have ever used this is by far the weakest one. It is also disappointing that this heater has very few settings and doesn't oscillate. If you want a little heater to warm your toes during spring while you're also running a stronger heater then by all means, get this one. If you're looking for an actual heater that has the ability to heat an entire room by more than 4 degrees than this is certainly not for you.

I am disapointed that there are not more reviews on this product! We have a second home in the mountains with a bar/gameroom downstairs which has central heat, but still maintains a chilly 50degrees in the winter(outside temps in the teens). We wanted a small space heater to push the temp to around 60degrees. The room has a fireplace, but we don't want to burn a cord of wood every winter just to use the space for a few drinks or a movie. We bought a small Honeywell heater which didn't put out enough heat. We exchanged it for a bigger Pure Comfort box but it died the first night and the local hardware store didn't have a replacement... so.. we got back to the flatlands and purchased a Vornado. I plugged it in and I tried to warm our large(12ft ceiling-250sqft) living room just to see how it would perform, but after 40minutes it didn't seem to do much. I then moved it to our family room which is about 200sqft w/8ft ceilings, but is not an enclosed room(open to kitchen and hallway). I feel the heat blowing from the unit but I don't feel the overall space getting warmer... so.. i guess the jury is still out. I plan on taking it up to our mountain home next weekend to heat the 150sqft gameroom, but I am skeptical. Having the unit next to you in quite comfortable but it doesn't seem to warm the entire room. Probably this is not a good test.. my expectations might be too high. In an enclosed room it might be alright. Right now it seems like a good under-the-desk unit for your office... but.. update coming...

My first Vornado purchase many years ago was the Vortex Heat Whole Room Portable Electric Space Heater. It was smooth, quiet, and best of all it offered a continuous running fan while the heat cycled off and on. This made for an uniterrupted pleasing sound to sleep or work by. It pleased me to think that these must be better machines because they were Made in America.

However, since then I have purchased 2 more such type units. Both, regretablly, not like the 1st. Both had a sporadic rattle of some sort that could be easily heard. I called customer service to voice my unhappiness, but there was not a sympathetic customer service rep on the other end. I still have these 2 units.

In November, 2012, I ordered the TH1 Tower Heater from Vornado for $99.99, with much anticipation that it surely would meet the preference for that continuous running fan feature and the quiet running feature they especially emphasized. Upon its first use, there was an obvious high-pitched whirring sound that was audible beyond the actual whir of the fan. As I wanted to utilize the unit for a pleasant "white" type sound as much for the heat feature, I was disappointed.

Maybe most people would never notice, but being sound sensitive it is an irritant to me.

I called customer service and was met with a listening, concerned, warm-hearted customer rep. He had me download and print off a UPS mailing label for its return. Furthermore, he stated he would go ahead and have another mailed back to me. This transaction was very good, very pleasing.

In a reasonable amount of time, the replacement arrived.

Upon its first use, the same whirring sound was still present. Ugh! I will keep it & use it, but will do so when needing "quietness" isn't an imperative.

In conclusion, the unit may be designed, engineered and supported in Kansas, but it definitely is Made In China.

This has got to be the most expensive piece of crap Ive ever paid for. Normally I would flush it down the toilet, but this wouldnt fit. Theyve had to ship out a new base, the original was cracked. One of the middle pieces fell apart as i was screwing it together, must be that high quality china glue. When i recieved the new base, i started putting it together and one of the cheap plastic threaded inserts was missing. So now i still cant put this thing together. Almost every part has some type of damage to it. Typical China crap!!!

Other than every other complaint, it does look really nice. haha

Id give it a zero if i could, but for some reason it has to be at least a one.

I bought this item but with the gel fireplace insert. The entertainment center is still the same model number but this product has the electric fireplace insert.

POORLY CONSTRUCTED AND PACKAGED!

When I received my items:

*the top panel trim on the left side was coming off, there was a dent in the middle, and the trim on the right side was barely hanging on

*the base panel was cracked in the front

*the upper firebox trim was broken (piece that supports the top panel beneath the television and above the firebox insert)

*the 2 back panels had either a large vertical scratch or had a hole

*multiple discolorations (white where it should be black) and scratches throughout every piece

*Assembly guide included with the fireplace insert but not for the entertainment center (I had to Google search for it and found it on the Home Depot website.)

I beg you. Please do not buy this item! It is NOT worth the money and you might as well invest in an already assembled/mostly assembled fireplace/entertainment center locally. I called Cymax to get a WHOLE product replacement and they wanted pictures of the damages, which I sent. Although Cymax claimed it was a whole product replacement, Real Flame DID NOT send out a whole product replacement but only sent the replacement parts after reviewing my claim. Unfortunately, some of the replacement parts did not screw properly with the original parts that I had already. Also, the left side of the top panel was beginning to come off just like the original top panel that was being replaced. Since I tried to assemble the fireplace, it is not in it's original condition. Hence I did not even bother with returning it, getting up to 50% of the price paid, and deducting even more for shipping the item back to Cymax. Needless to say, I threw everything away out of sheer frustration and bought an electric fireplace/entertainment center from Havertys.

A complete disaster, waste of money, and time!!!

Arrived in 2 days with Prime. Assembly was extremely easy and only took 30-45 minutes. Fireplace looks great and the Walnut finish looks fantastic. The space behind the fireplace unit offers a lot of room for surge protectors and cords so the unit can sit flush against the wall. Highly recommended.

This is actually a beautiful entertainment center. i love it and everyone that has seen it so far has said how much they love it.There is a strong odor when you remove it from the box but it goes away quickly. I gave it 3 stars due to the cons but overall its a nice piece.

Pros: Beautiful. nice color, Sturdy, movable shelves, good overall width and height. The fireplace is really nice with the ability to give off heat or not and the dynamic flame. There is a large area of open space behind the fireplace unit.

Cons: Very little room between shelves and the back covering board. So for larger plugs it is a problem. The width of the individual shelves is an issue. My receiver did not fit (i looked up a bunch of other receivers dimensions and they would have the same problem). I had to take the back board off and push it in from the back. I left plenty of space above for overheating issues. There were some defects in the wood but you can only seen them when your right next to it. Many of the bolts that are locked in did not match up perfectly. The front right portion also did not match up with the molding from the sides to the center portion. The fireplace portion has chainmail type covering over the glass. This does not sit perfectly vertical but you only really notice when your close. The fireplace unit (which is separate)does not fit perfectly against the rear of the hearth portion (center) but it does screw in so it is secure.

I recently remodeled our master bath and needed a heater. After considering 6 units I settled on this one. Installation was very easy (except for getting a 220V wire there). This is really nice unit. It's small, attractive and the LCD panel is well thought-out. You can see the room temp at all times and the controls are logical. Hooked up to 220V it's surprisingly powerful. It heats this small bathroom in minutes. It was a good choice for me.

Since writing the above paragraph I've had two F8 error codes, indicating a fault in the control. Both cleared and it has not had another in several weeks. One more and I'm asking for a replacement unit. Still, it was the best heater for my bathroom in many ways.
