The towel warmer installed easily and is very solid. It isn't cheap looking or feeling. It actually looks very nice. BUT I am disappointed at the warming ability. I expected the towels to be nice and toasty when I get out of the shower. But they are just slightly warm and really only right in the center where the towel folds over the bar. I put the towel on the bar the night before and have tried snaking it through the warming bars every way I can but the towel is still only marginally warm. So while it is nice to have and looks great in the bathroom I renovated, I am disappointed in the performance. If I had it to do over, I guess I would spend a little more and get a bigger towel warmer that would warm the towels up better.

So my first thoughts when I saw these things being advertised was...Who is Twin Star, It's not a EdenPure, it's made in China, it'll probably break down quickly, I wonder if it even heats like it says it does. I had been seriously debating buying a EdenPure but was holding off because of the price and hoping I could convince someone to get me one for christmas. I my co-worker told me that Costco was selling EdenPure heaters for $200 but when I double checked it was these things for $150 at Sams, I was cautious because when I spend over $100 on something I want to know it works and that it is of high quality. But I took the risk anyway and bought a 2 year extended warranty to go with it. So first night, I take it home and turn my central heat off, go down to my uncarpeted (but insulated) basement. It only got down to 50 degrees but that's still pretty chilly in a basement. if it didn't show me something I was taking it back tomorrow. I turned it on, gave it an hour and guess what...it started working well, the basement was WARM (I even broke a sweat under the covers), I was shocked. I went upstairs and it was way cooler than MY BASEMENT. It came with a neat little remote control that works for people like myself that get warm and lazy and don't want to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the heater. My fiance's father has an actual EdenPure that he uses in his basement and it works, I must say that in my opinion this heater matched the EdenPure's performance. I expected it to fail but it didn't. I got this for $150 plus $20 for the protection plan, the average price I saw on the EdenPure is $400. Glad I kept that extra $200+ in my pocket. Now here's where I knock on wood, at the time I am writing this I have only had this heater for a few days. I'm from St. Louis Missouri, so I have no idea how this thing will hold up during the coldest of winter months but if it's performance is anything less than what it has been, or if this thing breaks down, I will update this review.

More on the performance: It's very quiet which I like, gives off a cool glowing effect but isn't too bright. but the BEST THING ABOUT THIS HEATER IS...it does not dry out the air. The biggest problem with conventional combustion heaters especially for me and especially for the winter is that they dry out the air that's already dry from the cold. Using conventional heaters every winter I get nose bleeds from the dry air due to cold and the twice dried air from the heater burning the little water that was in the air away. I had to plug up a humidifier to try and add a little moisture to the air but the results were limited. The infrared technology does not heat in the same way that combustion heaters do so the air doesn't get dried out and I can breathe easy,

In summary it is MY PERSONAL OPINION at this moment that this thing heats as well as a edenpure costs less than half the money and best of all doesn't dry out the air. I can't talk about the durability yet but I hope this thing holds up because I already love it

I bought the Duraflame 10HM8000. It does look nice and have a handy remote. The front grill does not get hot so its good for pets and children. However I found that it could not heat a room larger than a bedroom. I left in on for 3 hours in a 400 sq ft living room and it did not raise the temperature 1 degree. Yet it did work fine in our Master bedroom. It does make some noise but its fairly quiet. The house is in Chicago and was built in 1968 and needs an insulation upgrade. Ultimately since this was too much to spend on a bedroom heater, I returned it and bought a Mica-Thermic panel just for the bedroom.

Ordered this after reading numerous reviews and thought for my application would work. Our house is a 1970's ranch with double paned windows and adequate but not great insulation in walls and ceiling (8 foot ceilings). Purchased this with the intent to heat a family room kitchen area of about 400 sq ft but with open doorways into the rest of the house. Wanted to augment heat pump so set the heat pump temp to 68. Expected this Infrared Heater to warm family room/kitchen area to 74 degrees and set it to that temp. Was never successful in getting the room to that temp. The temp as displayed on the unit would go up to 70 once in a while but after a minute or two drop back to 68 or 69. Understood that the temp reading might be variable in its accuracy but room felt chilly and never did take the chill off even after letting the unit run for several hours. The unit did feel like it was putting out warm air so was perplexed as to why it could never bring the room temp up. But in the end would not achieve the desired results and at this price point felt the only option was to return it. If you are going to try this make sure to buy through Amazon as there were absolutely no issues returning this which from what I've read is not always the case with other vendors of this type of product.

The two stars are for the finish of the cabinet. Very pretty and assembly appeared very solid and of quality.

This unit may work in a closed room environment but with the stated 1000 sq ft capabilities thought it would work much better in a smaller somewhat closed off area.

Honest reviews on Comfort Smart Mighty Oak 1000 Sq Ft Portable Infrared Heater

Not only do you feel warmer, the floors are warm and there are no hot spots anywhere in the room or the house with this new technology for heating. I no longer use my central unit in the house because it is cheaper to operate two of these units to heat my home. I have a third for upstairs but only use it when I need it.

I have two of these units plus one Eden Pure that quite frankly I spent too much money on because this one is equally as strong and good with the results. I got mine from Sam's for less then this one on Amazon but it is the identical company unit they sell.

I tell everyone about this technology and these units. Why spend more on energy than necessary, plus the heat you feel within the room isn't the same at all.

Cheap Swan SNCHW34050 Premium Hot Water Heavy Duty 3/4-Inch by 50-Feet

I was looking for a hose mainly to hook up to a auxiliary sump pump. I saw this on the Amazon warehouse for about $20 and figured it was a better option than the cheap 5/8 inch hose I was considering. Plus, I could use this for draining my hot water heater.

There's a couple of good features to this hose. The ends are very solid brass couplers. Well-made with zero leaks. They are hefty enough that I don't anticipate any problems with them for the life of the hose. Plus, the 3/4 inch size has a noticeably greater flow than a 5/8 inch hose (especially when using it with a pump), and it comes with a life-time warranty (according to the packaging, if it breaks you need to send back the ends and they will send you a new hose).

But the hose itself is problematic with regard to kinks. It's more manageable when used with hot water, but cold water (or any outside temperature below 80 degrees) makes it very cumbersome to wind/unwind. It kinks VERY easily and the kinks are difficult to work out. The hose came with two kinks that have set themselves permanently into the hose restricting the flow, and the outer casing at the kink points is cracked. No leaks, but just a matter of time before the cracks extend further.

Even though it was so inexpensive I returned it and replaced it with a 3/4 inch Flexogen by Gilmore (got two 25 foot hoses on the Amazon Warehouse for about the same price I paid for this -$20). As usual, Amazon was a breeze to deal with regarding the return.

I'll give it two stars due to the connections and the fact that, in specialized applications, it's workable. But unless you're willing to put up with some major drawbacks, it's not worth getting even at $20, and absolutly not worth the full price.

Also, although the product info says it will handle water up to 200 degrees, the label on the hose I received says the limit is 190 degrees.

We use these hoses daily for cleanup in a food processing facility. I've found them to be very durable. They last much longer than the standard hoses found at hardware stores.

Worked first time. Installed easily. Natural Gas version. One person can lift and place on the wall. Not that heavy. Has a center slotted hanging point then multiple points to secure top and bottom.

Amazon shipped quickly. UPS delivered on time. 2 days.

Need: 1) 120v AC source. 1)3/4" Gas connection. 3/4" water connections.

I removed the sheet rock and installed a plywood back for mounting. Cost of change over: $300. Those fittings, flex hoses, and vent are expensive from Home Depot. They don't have the 3 X 5 heater vent pipes. 3" works fine. Did the install myself.

Will go to 140 deg must must read directions to set it. Nice to have the remote control. Will work with more than one remote. So you can set the temperature for what use. Very small, in relation to a tank. Cannot tell the difference between a tank an the tankless. I use one for the whole house.

This unit started out great and then after one year started throwing error codes. I found out that " normal" maintenance on this thing is going to cost me an extra $200 $500 each year! According to Rheem (manufactuer of Richmond products) I need to have a Plumber come out twice a year and descale the unit and then about every year to year and a half I need to have it completely disassembled and the burners and ignightors cleaned. What a deal this thing turned out to be!

Customer service said I could do it myself and sent me the 12 page instruction sheet for the cleaning of the burners. It involves removing the gas manifolds, control board, burner box, several gas lines, and then reassemble. It requires the removal of at least 50 different screws in very tight places. I am fairly handy at fixing thing and they told me it would take less than a hour. It took me 5! Only to find out the problem was in the control board.

I previously owned a Takagi tankless hot water heater, which is amongst the best one can own. But, this unit most definately blows away the Takagi, and most other units. Installation is simple. The unit requires only a very low flow to start the heater which is super nice. It runs incredible quiet. It is a very small and compact unit, and, best of all, it will save you a ton of money. Rheem also makes an even higher efficiency unit, if you are interested. The construction of this unit is excellent. I highly recommend it.

(BTW... I wouldn't pay too much attention to the reviewer who only gave the unit one star. If these units didn't work (as the reviewer said), then Rheem wouldn't sell them. I would imagine that the one star reviewer was probably a one star installer and that the unit they purchased was just fine. Otherwise, Rheem wouldn't have sent it back to Amazon.)

Honest reviews on Rheem RTG-84DVN Direct Vent Indoor Series Natural Gas 8.4 GPM

This was without a doubt, one of the worsy purchases that I have EVER made! Arrived defective and the manufacturer, Rheem, could not have cared less. They refused to replace the bad unit and kept sending plumbers out to touble shoot and fix. After the third plumber, I packed it up and sent it back to Amazon.Amazon was great! they took care of my out of pocket expenses and made me "whole". I will NEVER buy another Rheem product.

The Rheem 8.4GPM tankless hot water heater has a design flaw. Internal to the unit is an observation window used for determining if the burner is working properly. This window has a piece of glass which can fall out, allowing heat from the burner to damage internal components, rendering the unit inoperable. Unfortunately, Rheem will not cover the cost of this failure as they will most likely look for ways to classify the failure as "incorrect installation". In my experience, they did not like the vent termination assembly used, and disqualified any warranty regarding damage induced by the piece of glass falling out, which is wholly unrelated.

We received this heater as a gift last Christmas. It performed like a dream, until March. After that, it stopped heating airbut continued to blow it. Customer service is nonexistent. You call and leave a message and then wait for a tech to call you back. It took several messages and a couple weeks to speak to said tech. He deduced that a replacement heating element would fix the problem. It was delivered quickly, and I replaced it as directed. Problem not solved. I put in a couple more calls to customer service, and never got a call back. I forgot all about it through the spring and summer, last month I decided to put in another call to customer serviceto ask for a replacement. The warranty is up next month. I'm still waiting for the "tech" to return my call.

This is my second IR heater. I bought it for the room where our television is to cut down on electric bills during cold winter evenings. I chose it for the price and also for the black color that matched with our black television and black surround sound components. The look actually fits in the room quite well, or atleast as well as any space heater can. What I didn't expect was the amount of noise that the fan makes. Perhaps it wouldn't be as noticeable in a room where you were not trying to listen to something else. The first heater I bought (different brand name) was much quieter but also much more expensive and has a wooden case. Just something to think about before buying the heater.....is the lower price worth putting up with more fan noise?

As far as shipping something of this size and weight, it came in excellent double-boxed packaging, arrived in perfect condition to my front porch, and arrived much sooner than expected.

I've had this for four months now and it works great. I use it to help heat my living room. My furnace keeps the living room at around 60 and this set at 68 on high has no problem keeping the temp at 72. I love that it doesn't get hot to the touch so I can leave it on when I'm not home for my dog's comfort.

The only problem I've had with it is it has wheels but really dislikes being moved. It has a sensor in it that shuts it off if you bump it or try to move it while it's running which isn't the problem, the problem comes in that it seems like if I move this heater while it's running and it shuts off on me, when I turn it back on the thermostat won't work so it will just run forever until I unplug it for a few seconds so it can reset itself, then it will work properly again. Idk, I guess don't move it. The room I heat is something like 10 by 40 and it has no problem adding 12 degrees to the room even when it's been 25 below in my drafty house.

Cost wise it's been good. I tried an oil radiator and it ran about $120 a month on full blast just trying to add ten degrees to the same room. This is running about $30-$50 a month running 7 days a week 24 hours a day on 67 degrees during the day and 65 at night or when I'm not home. It has a fan but it's not loud enough to even have to turn up the tv even one notch. I've never used the remote because it didn't come with batteries.

These heat the room better if they are pointed at objects like furniture because the infrared rays have to hit something to cause the room to heat up. If you put this in a good sized empty room it wouldn't heat very well. With the small emount of heat that comes directly out of this you wouldn't think it would heat well but boy does it! When the thermostat stuck the other day (see above) it heated the living room right up to 80 with no problem before I realized there was a problem. I want to stress, this has not happened except for the two times I have moved it while it was running when the safety shut off triggered it to shut down. Just unplug it for a few seconds before restarting it and it won't stick on.

Other than that one small issue it's been perfect. I bought mine locally for $80 and bought the 3 years extended warrenty for maybe $10 so hopefully if I have any problems I'll be covered, but to be honest, even if I bought one a year for $80 it's worth it. This is saving me over a hundred a month in heating costs. My heating costs are down from $200 a month to around a hundred. I'd buy it again. I took the star off for the thermostat issue.

Bought this fireplace for a newly remodeled area of our living room in October. We heat with an oil furnace and wanted to supplement to save money this Winter. We have not had a cold Winter in New England so far, but it has been cold enough to determine that I rarely hear the furnace turn on. I keep it on low and it heats up our living room area very quickly(about 650 sf) and a lot of heat goes upstairs too. Running our ceiling fans helps to circulate the warm air. We have run this unit everyday in the morning when I get up and all evening when I get home from work. My gas bill has increased 10 dollars a month. I can only imagine how much oil we have saved using this fireplace. The cabinet looks like a well made piece of furniture and it adds a lot to my home. My two cats take turns sleeping on top of it. There is a little smell to it when it is operating, but not any worse than when my gas oven is on in the kitchen. Very cozy watching the flames and feeling the warmth.

I would have given it 5 stars but I have to say that the controls are not that easy to operate as you have to get down on the floor and use two hands to turn it on and off. A remote would have been nice. Another thing is that it should come with the heater fan already installed not as an add on for another 100 dollars. Heat rises and there really isn't any way to disperse the heat efficiently without using a fan. Also, I had to have my plumber run the gas line, which cost another 200 dollars, but he was nice enough to put the whole thing together for me and helped figure out how to run it. We both had to read through the instructions several times to figure it out.

All in all, I would recommend this product. We have really enjoyed the ambiance it creates and the savings it has already provided.

The only problem with this product is the control knob for setting the heat. It's crude and has numbers on it. I have been trying for a month to get it where it is comfortable.

Best Deals on ProCom Compact Vent-Free Dual Fuel Fireplace with Corner Conversion

This small fireplace produces a lot of heat. Some states have rules for ventless fireplaces and you may have have trouble getting it installed.

The thermostat just has a few settings and is crude. It may take awhile to get a comfortable setting.

Honest reviews on ProCom Compact Vent-Free Dual Fuel Fireplace with Corner Conversion

We purchased this product for our Florida room. It has turned a room that was unusable in the winter into a favorite winter retreat! It looks beautiful! The wood is real, not laminate. The fire is relaxing. We all clamor to be the one to get to sit closest to it!

Pro's out weigh the Con's

We used the corner conversion, which is just a triangle of wood, two support bars, and a wall mounted bracket. It was easy to do and looks natural. I was concerned about how much weight it could handle, but it seems to be able to support ample amount.

The thermostat is a little touchy. At first we thought it controlled the flame size, and to some degree it does. Setting one is low flame, setting two is medium flame, and setting 3 is high flame. Setting 4-6 is the same as three. But what we realized is that it is actually controlling the thermostat. The flame will shut off once it reaches a certain temperature. However, this was one thing we changed. The thermostat is located at the bottom back of the fireplace, which does not make it very accurate. I would suggest moving it higher, if your fireplace never seems to turn off or over heats the room.

As with any vent-free fireplace, it makes water. You will get condensation on any cold surfaces (like windows). The benefit to this is the house is somewhat humidified. The bad news is you will have to wipe down your windows & window sills. We actually really enjoy the moisture in the air.

This unit does not come with a blower. We have found it doesn't need one. We leave our ceiling fan (blowing up instead of down) on low. This is all it needs to evenly heat the room. Without the fan, the room heated fine. It just took a little longer for it to warm it all up.

This product does hook up to natural gas, so you will need to purchase any of the pipe that would connect your natural gas to the fireplace. And have the skill to connect the new pipe to an existing line. Also, as with any natural gas fires, it will have a bluish hue to the flame at the bottom and an orange hue to the flame at the top. We think that is still far prettier then no flame at all!

After days of searching the web ,places like eBay ,Harbor frieght and many, many others i found this heater here on Amazon, the price was much better than the other sites for a btu rating of 30,000 and having a blower all ready installed , the heater was a little bigger than i thought it would be, but not a problem ,i purchased it for my 12x16 ft work shop,it was actually an over kill, even though my work shop is not insulated this heater will roast you out if turn up on high, i only have to set it at about the number 2 setting to make my shop nice and comfertable, the heater shipped reasonably quick, it did arrive with a small dent in the left front corner due to rough handling by ups, but was a minor fix bending it back to shape, the instalation was easy and the blu flame looks awsome burning, it is quite quiet when on and the blower is nice and quiet to, i had it hooked up to a 50lb tank and it has barely used any propane, this would be a very nice heater for in the home too as a back up or to help warm up a house on a chilly morning, im having a new house built this spring and you can bet that there will be one of these in it, i am very pleased with this hearter and i highly recommend it. i live in NE Pennsylvannia, and we get some very cold winters here, with this heater going i love to do my tinkering in my shop now on a cold winter's day, my buddies come over to hang in my shop now in the winter to shoot the bs and my girlfriend loves that theres no tracking up her floors now because us guys are all out in the shop, if your looking to save on your home heating bill this heater is the ticket, if you have a hunting cabin and need something better than a wood stove this heater is your ticket, although it does have a blower you do not need electric to use this stove. it also is versable in the means of it can be use with natural gas to, a very simple little change to convert it over from propane if you desire, all changes are in the hearter its self no going to the store to buy this and that, i give this heater both thumbs up, a very satisfied customer here Sure Heat 30,000 BTU Blue Flame Dual Fuel Gas Space Heater with Thermostat and Blower

The heater works great, I have no problems with it at all, I really love it, the blower when set on automatic starts up and then stays on for a short while after the heater goes off, but it is kind of loud. It was very easy to hook up, we had no problems with that, even came with the hook up line to hook it, it's a flexible line, (we replaced a old one that was broken). The only problem I had with this has nothing to do with the workings the heater itself, it's grill that goes on the front of it that was broken when we got it, it doesn't effect the heater any at all, just a little safety feature. I contacted the company and after several emails back and forth, they sent me out a replacement, or so I thought! The grill was way too small, so I sent off another email to the company and have not heard a word from them about it. I told them that if they sent me out the shipping label I would send one the 'new one' that is way too small back to them, like I said, I have not heard a word from them and that was on Oct., 23, 2012, probably won't hear back at them if it's taken this long! I love the heater, but would like the company even more if they would just either read their emails and replace the wire screen for the heater or just tell me that I'm not getting one to replace it, that the warranty doesn't cover it, (which it should!), it's suppose to come with a one year warranty I believe. I ordered the heater on the 24th. of Sept., and it came shortly after that, but like I said, after receiving the wrong replacement part, I contacted Sure Heat again and have not heard a word from them at all, I would recommend the heater, it does heat very well and works really great, but if I'm having this kind of problem with the company, I think I would order from another company if I'm wanting to ever replace it. ***I just wanted to update everyone about the company, I DID finally get email from them today, 11/12/12 and they said they never got my email I sent on the 23rd. of Oct., and asked if I still wanted a replacement, I replied to them that yes I still would like a replacement and if they sent a shipping label I would send the smaller one back we had received. This was just a little while again and I will keep updating as progress is being made. I did tell the gentleman that had wrote to me that I would correct this review, (I had sent them a copy with the link for this review), and as promised I am keeping my word on that. So, let's see what happens.***//****UPDATE-12/15/12****I received the new replacement today as promised, since that was the only problem I had with this heater, I have upgraded the stars to a 5 star rating! This heater is better at heating then I expected! It's not been down below zero here yet, but so far on the lower 20 degrees outside, the highest number we turn up to on the knob is around the number 2! I would certainly recommend this heater if you're looking for a great heater with a blower included that really warms the place up! And I want to say a personal thank you to 'JR' for handling the email part of the messages to straighten this up.

The heater is good enough, and puts out adequate heat. Not real stable on its legs and would probably be better if mounted on the wall, but that does not fit my space. The first heater I received had some cosmetic issues, but Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, so overall I'm satisfied.
