After researching several coffee makers, this one kept coming out as one that truly heats the water to over 200 degrees which is necessary for excellent brewing. I have been in search of the perfect coffee maker since 1957 of every type and many brands and at last, here it is! After reading the praise for Bonavita BV1800TH 8 Cup Coffee Maker With Thermal Carafe in Cook's Illustrated magazine I ordered one for my husband for a Father's Day gift (so I'd get the credit AND the good coffee!. It is so easy to use, easy to clean, is practically instant, and yields a wonderful beverage that remains hot in the carafe for hours. We were so delighted with this Bonavita coffee maker that I just ordered another one from Amazon as a gift for my daughter.

This coffee maker is very inconvenient for an office. The filter holder does not attach to the coffee maker, it just sits on top of the coffee pot. So when you go to pour a cup of coffee, you have to remove the filter first. It may not seem like a big deal, but in our office it gets very annoying having to move it every time, and both the filter and the maker dripping on the table and floor.

Also, it didn't come with a coffee grinder like in the picture. Not a huge deal but another nuisance.

For how much I paid for it, I expected something flawless. I was much more satisfied with my 30 dollar coffee maker I had before

I ordered the control module and received it very quickly. After installing it (which really did take less than 5 minutes) I flipped the switch on the pool heater and the burner ignited instantly. Perfect solution if you igniter looks good but seem to e getting no or weak spark.

It takes two hours but it's worth it. My lid broke the first day I got it so now I use a saucer as a lid and it works great. Just make sure to hold it down so it doesn't fall while pouring.

I actually purchased this heater for my mom.....it was smaller than she expected but she says it heats her home just fine..I was very pleased with the price and with the quality of the product...so was my mom...I recommend this product for a small space that needs heating...it is a wall mount heater...I dont remember if it came with feet to stand it on the floor, I think it did not, I will order again from this supplier in the future.

Great little heater.

Only wish it had a thermostat like the larger ones.

On the little trailer I am using it for heat, the low setting

is warmer than I need unless the weather is really cold.

I can get by if I turn the control down below the low setting,

but you have to be careful to check that the flame is

burning blue, not yellow or orange.

Dimensions to mount from flamable sources as specified in received paperwork would be useful in the add writeup, especially online..

The wall mount and hookup was easy needing only a screwdriver, hammer, and small crescent wrench. The dual fuel setting was easy to get to and would turn using a downward push and finger turn to either NG or LP setting...

I bought this for my husband for christmas because he loves popcorn and we were working on setting up a tv/movie room in our new house. Best gift I ever bought! It looks great in the movie room and we use it all the time. I got the black one becuase the other colors seems too bright and didn't go with my decor at all. I purchased this product after reading several positive, if not quite rave, reviews. I was particularly interested in the ability to regulate the temperature using the thermostat. I was using it to supplement the heat in a large bedroom at my parents home in Chicago during this past, particularly cold, winter.

Set up instructions were adequate. I attached the legs and the casters, re-read the precautions about placement in the room, plugged it in and turned it on. It immediately began heating up. Greatly encouraged, I set the thermostat, stayed in the room for a while and, deciding it was like watching and waiting for a pot of water to boil, I left the room. I waited about 25 minutes and then went back into the room to see how much it had heated the room. I was surprised to find the indicator light on the heater off and no heat being emitted. The room was still very chilly.

I turned the thermostat up thinking that would start the heater again.... nothing.

I turned it to the off position and then on again.... nothing.

I turned the thermostat to it's highest possible temperature setting.... nothing.

I tried turning it on and off at both heat level wattage settings.... nothing.

I unplugged it and replugged it and turned it on again... nothing.

I checked to be sure it had not tripped the circuit breaker.... it had not.

I unplugged it, waited a while longer to see if, after completely cooling down, it would start again... nothing.

Simply put, this product just stopped working within an hour of first plugging it in.

I sent it back to Amazon for a refund, drove over to Home Depot and bought a portable heater that their manager recommended. It worked just fine.

I ordered this product to supplement the heating in our 5th wheel RV, especially at night. Sorry folks but it doesn't cut it. It is 29 outside and now only 63 only a few inches in front of and above the heater. I was hoping for more but I got less. Such is life.

I have had this heater for a month-and-a-half, and I am very pleased with it. I had hoped it would heat the whole area (a basement apartment-in-progress), which it does not. But what it does do is to heat whatever/whoever is in front of it. It feels like sitting in front of a fireplace! Toasty warm, although it does limit how far away from it you can get. Before getting the Optimus H-8408, I had a different type of heater that was also rated for large rooms. IT DID NOTHING, except make a lot of noise (fan-forced type heater). The Optimus is SILENT, and good value for the money. Don't expect it to work miracles, especially if it is your ONLY source of heat, but it certainly has kept me happy through January and the first half of February in an unfinished basement!

After the date had expired for the Dimplex stove to be delivered, (remember, I didn't set the delivery deadline!)I contacted the seller who gave the excuse that all the Dimplex stoves were delayed in being shipped. However, once the problem had been addressed, I was offered a 10% discount which was to be credited to my card (it was not explained initially that it would be either a discount on the price of the unit itself or a credit to my account). I have not as of this date been credited (perhaps next billing cycle) but did receive the Dimplex stove in perfect condition within days of my inquiry. I was interested in a unit which did not exceed 1500 watts on the high setting as I was concerned any higher wattage would need a dedicated line; remember though, that most hair dryers are 1600 or more watts but we don't operate them all the time. I really didn't want the flame effect, just the heater which was a little larger than the small ones sold in major stores such as Wal-Mart, Lowe's, etc., but to my surprise, the flame gives just enough light so that I am able to turn off the lamp I previously kept on in the room where I have the stove. The blower is very quiet and actually gives a soothing noise which is conducive to sleep. I usually keep it on low but if it were really cold, the high setting would heat a small room or two if they were closed off. It is just enough heat to take the chill off cool evenings. I would venture to say that the heater would be a romantic addition to a bedroom as it is absolutely charming with its glowing flame effect and gentle heat. The stove is only guaranteed for a year, but then so too was a very expensive oven which I purchased for my kitchen and INDEED it was dead in about a year.... so don't expect TOO much from this charming stove for the money. I only wish Dimplex sold these in stores such as Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, etc., as it puts to shame the heaters/stoves they sell for less money, but who wants their utilitarian heaters/stoves junking up their home? To date, I am very happy with the Dimplex Free Standing Cube stove. As my husband states, "tell them in the review that the stove is lovely." (I can't believe HE said that but he really did!)

We moved into a new place and missed having a fireplace in our bedroom. Our new bedroom is very small, but the compact size fit perfectly. It has a cute, modern look and does put out nice head.

I researched a lot for a nice little fireplace heater. I LOVE LOVE THIS. DO not regret it one bit. it is MORE than I thought it was quality wise especially. My daughter wants one now for her room and as soon as I get the money I shall order another one. The above reviews made me feel comfortable buying this. It Came very quick and no damage. It is VERY quiet, don't even know it's running. The fire effect is way better than I imaged. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS FIREPLACE!

I moved into a town home and really wanted a fireplace: Began doing research and found this solution! It is retro cool! It is the perfect amount of cheeze in a box. I love it, my daughter loves it, my cat loves it! One of the features that we enjoy is that you can have the fire effect on with no heat. So even when it is warm and rainy, you can have the effect of a fire and its soothing nature. I read some reviews that people were sad that it doesn't crackle like a fire, but it isn't fire it is a cool electric heater! Oh, and another selling point, is that because it is on a chrome pedestal it can be set on carpet (I confirmed this with Dimplex)...and it is portable. I don't know how well it heats a space yet, because it is summertime, but I suspect it will live up to its claims.

This thing is adorable, works like a powerhouse, and has been doing so steadily for over a year. It looks like a real fireplace, and makes the apartment feel much homier. The heat settings are surprisingly strong—I don't think I've ever had to use the highest setting, even mid-winter in New York—and my bedroom doesn't have heat but does have two giant, drafty windows.

The heater stopped working within the first year under warrenty. The company made me take the unit apart, not an easy process, and mail back one of the components at my expense ($35.00 in shipping). Received the part back supposedly repaired a few weeks later and had to put everything back together again, which was again very difficult to assemble. Product then overheated and melted 3 electric outlets, all of which had to be replaced. You could feel the heat in the wall around the outlet. Lucky it didn't start an electrical fire and burn the place down. Then got rid of it. No response from Sunheat about this.

I own a gift store in the high sierra mountains and needed a heater for the store floor. This heater does a great job. It has a good heat throw without being overly hot and I can't tell a difference on my electric bill for the store. I'm buying 2 more. The price of the heaters will be cheaper than one month's natural gas bill. Good buy and great product!

Down side this heater really makes the air smell of burnt propane or something will have you eyes watering in no time flat and not to mention the huge head ache from the carbon monoxide so be very sure to use in highly ventilated areas only as the stink lungs for days after you stop using it not to good for new construction Reno etc great for outside events or open tents where you will be very popular
