Review of MSZ-GE15NA
We purchased a ductless heat pump (Mitsubishi MSZ-D30NA) two years ago. It's cut our winter electric bill in half. We had no air conditioning before we installed this unit so our summer electric bills are a little higher depending on how hot our summers are here in the Northwest. This unit has performed flawlessly with no maintenance except for vacuuming the filters. It's so quite that we barely hear the inside unit and the outside unit is also very quite. It also has a very handy remote control. We have a 2000 sq ft one level home and this unit, with just one evaporator mounted in the family room, heats and cools the entire home except for the master bath. It's amazing the amount of heat that it puts out even in the cold winter. This unit is bigger than was recomended by the contractor. My thought was to have a higher output unit that would not have to work as hard. I could of had a smaller less expensive unit. The inside mounted evaporator is fairly large hanging on the wall near the ceiling but after a while we don't even notice it. When visitors come over they don't even notice it unless we point it out. With this 30,600 btu unit you could run 3 or 4 more inside units, say to upstairs bedrooms. This is a much less expensive way to have heat and air conditioning installed in an exesisting home that doesn't have duct work. Some public unilities offer rebates for ductless pumps.

I read some of the reviews about this burner and I was somewhat nervous about purchasing. I hunted for something similar, but all searches lead me back to this model. The burner is well made, quite heavy metal, and worked fabulously. The starter kicked in the flame each time, although I did have a long lighter handy in case. I used this burner to prepare paella on my new 15" paella pan. I loved it. Heavy duty, worked well for me, was easy to light and control the flame... I am glad I took a chance on this one!
However it has a few quirks:
* It is for a table so the table needs to be metal or a heatproof material. It gets hot underneath.
* The other item to watch out for is the flared fitting connection. This unit came with a rubber gasket. Check with your plumber or gas technician to see if a gasket is EVER needed on a brass flare fitting. I have many propane stoves with the same flared fitting and NONE of them have a gasket. I did try using the gasket and seals well and does not leak but the fitting sure feels funny and not rock solid like my other stove fittings.
It needs the little (tit or male pin )to push the gas valve in when you tighten it so if you buy the stove you have to buy a new hose and regulator.

I purchased this burner to melt lead in a large cast iron pot. I was frustrated with the smaller burner I had as it would take over 2 hours to melt 30lbs of lead. This burner is very stable and had a 30 pound pot of lead melted to 600 degrees in just 40 minutes, and with the flame control, I could easily set the heat down to keep the temperature constant. Wish I had bought this a year ago. It attached easily to a standard propane tank for the grill. Electric start does not always fire it up on the first try, but I have never known an electric start to work 100% anyway.Best Deals on Alpha Electric Igniter Portable Propane Gas Stove Range Camping
Great burner low is low for keeping warm and high is high enough for wok cooking. It is hard to find a burner that can do both. This is the one. The hose is maybe 4 feet which is a good length. Fitting on the regulator is correct for a USA propane tank. However it has a few quirks:

Nice solid product, not to happy with the hose and regulator, it just has regular hose clamps on it and the tank connection don't fit on the new 25lb tanks. It needs the little (tit or male pin )to push the gas valve in when you tighten it so if you buy the stove you have to buy a new hose and regulator.

I purchased the Big Bertha stove to fire up a large (7 quart jar capacity) pressure cooker for canning. Upon arrival, the stove was banged around during shipping and did not sit level upon a flat surface. I was able to file down the offending leg slightly and now it sits rock solid level. In operation, this stove gets hellishly hot, it can boil a full pot of water in minutes. The 6 ft gas hose is rather sticky and smells of plastic resins and chemicals. This stove works well, has a full range of adjustment and puts out sufficent heat for pressure canning purposes. You can set a large pot on this unit with the controls being accessable.Cheap Great Northern Popcorn Red Foundation Antique Style Popcorn Popper

I really loved the heater, it was safe around the pets. I was sitting in the room and smelled something burning, picked up the unit and everything looked fine. 20 minutes later the unit shut off. When I unplugged the unit, the plug had melted. From the way that it had melted, it was clear that something was wrong with the plug. I liked the product, but this made me worry. I don't know if I will replace it with the same thing.

So I used to love this heater. It served me well for a little under a year. But just tonight as I was trying to turn it on the plug had a tiny explosion and the reset button melted. I have no idea what caused it but I found it very unnerving. Now looking for a replacement. Not sure if I will replace it with the same model.Best Deals on Black & Decker BDHF200 Heater Fan

Bought this heater from costco about 1 week ago to heat our 18' x 20' living room, Not only doe's it do that very well, it heats the kitchen, hallway, and closest bedroom to the living room. we are going to purchase another for the rest of the house. Our house heater went out and cant afford a new one, don't need to fix it now. I would definately recommend this heater. we had bought one of those fake fireplace heaters they look great but took it back it didn't work anywhere close to the vorando heater for a fourth of the cost.

I recently purchased this for an office that is about 20' x 10'. When I first turned it on within 5 minutes the whole office area was heated. I had to turn down the heat to a lower heating setting (it has 3 settings) so the office area wasn't overly heated. The safety feature of automatically shutting off if it is moved or tilted is a really great feature. It would be nice if it had a remote control or a thermostat control to set a specific temperature but that shouldn't stop you in purchasing this little heating marvel. You don't need to point this heater directly at you for warmth. It takes the heated air and evenly circulates it throughout the room. I own a Vornado air circulator at home and use it during the hot summer months. It works great....that is why I purchased this product. It is basically the same Vornado air circulator only with a heater inside of it. It gets a 4 1/2 star rating from me...but Amazon ratings don't do 1/2 points.Best Deals on Vornado VH110 Whole Room Vortex Heater
This is my second Vornado VH110 purchase in 6 months. I have bought electric heaters before from different manufacturers and none of them withstood the normal wear and tear as well as the test of time like these Vornado heaters. Most of the ones I got at the big superstores caught dust in the grill after about 6 months of use and ended up just giving up and dying or even starting to burn the dust and grime inside stinking up the room and causing them to sound like a small airliner is about to land. Needless to say I had to bite the bullet and buy another one, and then another one and so on. A friend turned me onto Vornado heaters. I have to say I have never seen a small size heater heat up my high ceiling room so well, yet it only feels warm to the touch. This thing is quiet and seems to be very efficient it doesn't seem to burn the element inside as hot as the other heaters, and yet circulates the air a lot better then the 2700 watt higher powered heaters sold at Walmart. I am very impressed with the engineering of these little marvels and will recommend these to my friends too.Honest reviews on Vornado VH110 Whole Room Vortex Heater
It is a very nice heater and I love it at first...until the exterior cracked in 30 days. I suspect is the heat that caused the plastic exterior to expand and then crack open. Now there is an rattling piece of plastic inside the heater and I stopped using it. Amazon is replacing it with a new one at no cost since it's about 30 days since I received the item. I can't imagine what Amazon would do if it broke later and I would have lost the moeny I spent on this heater. I just hope the new one will last.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Vornado VH110 Whole Room Vortex Heater

Since I already owned this same model Pelonis heater for 4 or 5 years, I was pleased to find it again and expected the same quality from the Pelonis brand. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The new heater's thermostat failed right after being turned on for the first time. Unlike my older heater, the new version now features a manual mode as if they do expect the thermostat to fail. With the manual mode, the heater can still be used by setting the speed, but it's definitely not as nice as the original one of this same model. It's also simply too much money to pay for something that does not work as described. Like most things these days, the quality is way less than products we used to be able to purchase with confidence.
And neither does this. For all the promised performance, cheaper existing heaters I own work better. This thing is not quiet, and ran a long time before providing measurable increase in temperature (one of few benefits of this heater is the digital temperature gauge that let me know how well it was not working).
I'm sure this product does well at heating small rooms or the underside of a desk, but for the price you can buy two heaters that do just as well.
Adding insult to injury, between the restocking fee and shipping, I ended up paying a third of the cost of the unit just to find out it did not work.
The new heater's fan doesn't ramp up as responsively as the original, and it seems the thermostat sensor, located on the cord, is much less sensitive than the older model, which is actually located inside the fan housing, making it far more sensitive to temp changes. I have to run the thermostat setting much higher, i.e. set it on 80-82 F to actually get a room temp of 75F. Maybe a redesign, placing the sensor inside, as it was previously, would cure this.
Those caveats aside, the heater puts out strong heat quickly, and will easily take care of an average-size living room, but not a huge room. Easily keeps a bedroom/bathroom toasty, once you get the 'stat calibrated to your preference

I purchased this item after reading the claimed performance. I have a room in the lower level of my house that is generally colder than the rest of the house. I bought this heater as an additional unit, my original Pelonis' fan bearing had become noisy after many years, but was still putting out great heat FAST. Actually, the bearing noise goes away after the unit warms up, just rather noisy until then. I've had the unit apart, but can't find how to service the bearing or replace it, probably not replaceable. So I bought the new one in case it finally dies. The new heater's fan doesn't ramp up as responsively as the original, and it seems the thermostat sensor, located on the cord, is much less sensitive than the older model, which is actually located inside the fan housing, making it far more sensitive to temp changes. The propane patio heater I purchased arrived on time no damage. The problem came once it was assembled, the factory welds that hold the tubing and base were welded in such a way that the entire heater leans at an angle. It is still functional but is visibly crooked. I'm gonna add a video if possible to show exactly what I mean. Unfortunately I ordered it for a surprise for my wife, but work was busy and the weather stayed nice longer than expected so I didn't assemble it til a month after it arrived. Due to the wait it left me out of the return period, otherwise I wouldn't even know that it was still functional. Since I'm stuck with it I use it, but it is awful looking! For $200+ dollars it should be well made and stand strait, but it doesn't! We call it the leaning tower of junk!

BEWARE: This item is deceptively identified as being made of Stainless Steel and black powder coating. Powder coating is a type of paint finish not a material. All of the black powder coated surfaces are made of steel and will eventually rust. In fact the only part I can identify by using a magnet as being stainless steel is the top of the tank housing. I'm disappointed and probably will return it since previous FIre Sense heaters that were powder coated have rusted badly.Best Deals on Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Stainless Steel and Black
What you need to know about stainless steel is that there is magnetic (400) and non-magnetic (300) stainless steel. 400 series stainless steel is not as durable or corrosion (rust) resistant as 300 series. If you want durability in your stainless steel gas grill put a magnet on it. If the magnet sticks, don't buy it.Honest reviews on Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Stainless Steel and Black
The quality of this product was very disappointing. The stamped sheet metal frame and base provides no support. I thought I was purchasing a "commercial" grade product, which in fact this was not. The base and shaft are too unstable making it, in my opinion, dangerous. I have spent an amount equal to the purchase price just to modify the product so that it has the stability and weight for outdoor use.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Stainless Steel and Black

We bought this to use our awesome Max Burton induction burner with some aluminum pans.
Put it on the burner, put an aluminum fry pan on top, with eggs in the pan, turned on the induction burner, and we waited...
Half a second later, there was a series of loud metallic pops. This kind of freaked us out, as you don't normally see that kind of behaviour in major appliances.
Upon immediately turning it off, we examined everything and noted rather large blisters in the thin metal sheeting on this disk. It no longer sat flat, and very little of the disk would make contact with the burner any more.
It lasted an incredible half of a second before breaking.
We contacted the company from which we bought it on Amazon (don't remember who it was so consider this review to be of the item, not the seller), and heard nothing back.
Fifty bucks flushed down the toilet.
NOT recommended.
I have an aluminum pressure canner, a non-stick hard-anodized sauce pan reserved for milk-based sauces and custards, a glass vacuum coffee pot, and several other items of cookware made of non-magnetic materials which are not induction compatible. Were it not for these items, I would not have bought this interface which effectively reduces the controllability, instant response, and efficiency to below that of a radiant cook-top.
Buy this item if you must retain cookware which is not induction compatible it will work well with them.
BUT... it makes absolutely no sense to hobble an induction cook-top's capabilities after paying its premium cost.
AND... It is far more than twice the price I would expect to pay for this item when comparing it with the price of an economy set of tri-ply, induction compatible cookware (which can now be found for around $150).
Sooner or later a competitor will challenge this manufacturer's monopoly and prices will fall. Until then it merits a very reluctant overall score of 4 stars. Were it not for my "special" items of cookware, this would warrant 2 stars.
I hope you read this and NOT buy this product! It was a waste of money!

This interface disk worked great when boiling water in my NON-magnetic tea kettle... And it DOES let you use just about ANY pot or pan you own on an induction cooktop. I just HAD TO compare the two !!!!Honest reviews on Max Burton 6010 8-Inch Induction Interface Disk with Heat-Proof
I thought this interface disk would be a nice adjunct to the old pans, especially popcorn popper that wouldn't work on the new induction oven. I was wrong! Just today, I tried it for the first time on popcorn. When the "test" kernels weren't popping, I checked the temperature of the bottom of the pan. It was MUCH too low. Then I checked the induction plate temperature with both a digital probe as well as infrared temperature. Way Low! I switched to a regular induction pot and the temperature zoomed right up and the popcorn was done promptly. In order to shake the pot and not scratch the glass top surface, I placed a paper towel underneath during cooking. While it browned a bit it worked like a charm and I was able to shake the pan on the cook top without it scratching.I hope you read this and NOT buy this product! It was a waste of money!

I was really looking forward to purchasing an induction disk so that i could continue to use my non-induction ready pans on my new Kenmore Elite slide in stove. First use, the stove's induction cooktop instantly recognized the disk's magnetic characteristics and kicked right in. A few seconds later the stove went into error mode and the stove completely shut down and would not respond while the disk remained on the burner. The error code would not clear while the disk was on the stove. Once I removed the disk and replaced it with a magnetic pan, the error code went away and the stove resumed to work like a charm. I repeated the process several times. Each time the disk sent the stove into a error mode. Previously and since, the stove works great with all other magnetic fry pans and pots. I don't know why I had a problem with this disk. Perhaps other stoves would not experience the same difficulties.Review of EdenPURE US GEN4 Model US 1000 Portable Electric Space / Room

We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and the winters can be quite harsh. Our 3200 sq ft home is heated by a natural gas furnace. After watching Bob Villa's infomercial we puchased the EdenPURE GEN4 HEATER and we couldn't be happier. This is our 3rd winter using the heater. We shut off a portion of the house by closing doors and only heat that area with the heater. This heater will keep our bedroom, hallway, den and kitchen at a very comfortable temperature and I am cold natured. Last winter we spent less than $300 on natural gas because we used the EdenPURE as a supplemental heat source. Our electricity bill only increased about $15-$20 per month. This is an excellent product and in 3 years of use we have never had any issues with the unit.
I have now been the unfortunate owner of a gen 3 and Gen 4 Edenpure heaters. I have yet to have one of these heaters make it through an entire winter season. I bought my first Edenpure in October, 2010. I stared using the heater at the end of November beginning of December. The heater stopped heating at the end of January 2011. So after barely 2 months of daily use the heater stopped heating.
I live in Arkansas so the winters are mild at best. Rarely dose it ever dip below 20 degrees at night. Most of the time the temperature is between 30-40 degrees. Since I was just barely over the 3 month mark I could not return this item for a refund. Instead I had to settle for an exchange. I received my exchanged unit on February 21st, 2011. I used the until the end of April and boxed it up and stored it until the next winter season. So I start using the heater again in December 2011 and on January 18th, 2012 the unit stops heating completely. So an 11-month-old unit that has only seen 3-4 months of continual use craps out on me. That is just unacceptable.
These units are cheaply made plastic bricks and are not built to last. The heaters are big, boxy, noisy and hideous to look and for almost $400 you would think it would include a digital thermostat that reads room temperature but it does not. These heaters are also extremely slow to heat up an open door room around 300sq ft. Even though the advertising says 1000 sq ft. Buy one of these heaters if you want to go through the hassle of spending $30 every year for shipping to exchanging this heater out for a new one.
The five year warranty on the motor was incentive enough for me.
The number of increments of heat regulation make the comfort level easy to adjust for the large open area I want to heat.
We bought a second one for a Christmas gift for the Daughter because she had an inadequate "air/heat "source.
EdenPURE solved that heating problem in fifteen minutes.
Yes," I love it "and gave a five star rating.

We bought our first EdenPure a couple of winters ago and I used it to heat the upstairs of our old farmhouse where my home office was. It sure was so much better and cheaper to run than the old small heaters that I used to run. It is quiet and even though I had the heater in the hallway, I could feel the heat surround me in my office 15 feet or more away. We loaned our heater to my in-laws to use in their livingroom while my father-in-law was in end stages of cancer and it has not come back as my mother-in-law uses it daily for extra warmth. We are planning on buying another to replace the original. Great product!!Honest reviews on EdenPURE US GEN4 Model US 1000 Portable Electric Space / Room
I own two EdenPure Heating units and have had NO trouble with them that I wasn't warned about. I had one unit start to blow cold air and figured the bulbs must be burned out... then remembered to CLEAN the filter... Cleaned it and it went right back to working wonderfully. I have owned these units for over 4 years and for those who complain and give a one rating, they are obviously from the competition. I have found them to work well for what they are designed for... to heat a room. BUT I heat my entire house (1100 sqft) in ALASKA with two of these units. We dropped our electric bill from about 250 in the winter to 150.00. I heat my house year round for under 1000.00 a year... quite amazing! I am currently thinking very seriously about buying one to heat my business, which uses baseboard, that I can't keep on all night due to the cost. I do not see this unit as being cheaply made... my remote has never not worked... I don't think I have even had to change the battery in 4 years and I use the remote every time I turn it on. I like the long cord, I can easily move the machine about the room to bring more heat to a location I am at. I did a lot of research on this product before I bought it, but a very positive review from my cousin got me to buy one, and I have been very pleased with this purchase.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for EdenPURE US GEN4 Model US 1000 Portable Electric Space / Room
A friend recommended EdenPURE and I'm glad we took their advise.

We ordered two of these heaters from Amazon 30 Jul and received them in early Aug. Both heaters had rub marks as they were poorly packed with only paper to protect them allowing them to rock in the box. We installed them in late Aug and tested them when it was hot (when hot they worked OK). Sep 14th was our first cool day so we lit them and both heaters lit in the orifice area burning flames behind and several inches overtop the bricks which is potentially dangerous. There was a sound like a jet engine at a distance so we immediately turned off the heaters and turned off the propane as a safety measure. We doubled checked to insure the heaters were set for propane and they were. Today Sept 16th we has a specialist, with 25 years experience fixing gas heaters, come out and he said the heaters have a bad design with the propane pilot light on the wrong side permitting gas to build-up before it lights (the gas enters from the other side) causing it to burn in the orifices (there are 5-1 for each brick) and that we should return the heaters. We tried to return them but we are past the return period. Therefore, he said the bricks or thermostat must be preheated so they will light to solve the problem as the problem is because the bricks and thermostat were 69 degrees the day the problem occurred ( that is why the heaters worked OK on a hot August day as the bricks and thermostat were warm then). We wish we had never seen these heaters as we cannot trust them unless we are with them to fix the reoccurrence of this issue. To be fair the heaters do provide heat although 1 brick in each heater does not glow as red as the others.
The price was very good and shipment was very fast.

Delivery was quick, installation easy and the price was right for a thermostat controlled plaque heater with blower BUT after only 2 days of use, the pilot refused to stay lit for natural gas, and it had a roaring noise when the pilot would ignite... not something I was thrilled with at all, could have just been a defect in the one I purchased and returned which is why I gave it 4 stars, I did like it...I only wish that the one I received had worked out.Honest reviews on Sure Heat Infrared Gas Space Heater with Thermostat and Blower

I ordered this unit thinking it was what I wanted for my upstairs bedroom because I wouldn't have to give up one of the two windows and then could move it to the extra room while sewing. I live in MA and it worked fine the end of June, beginning of July. It cooled the room in no time at all. We then had a cold spell and didn't use it til August when it became brutally humid. I woke up after 2 hours of use and it shut itself down. Found out that the reservoir filled up. I drained it (which isn't easy since the drainage hole is very close to the floor) it turned on by itself and then in 2 more hours did the same thing. I contacted the company.
This is what they said: "Thank you for your purchase of the Whynter SNO ARC-13W portable air conditioner. Can you please put a pan under the drain plug of the air conditioner and remove the drain plug at the back of the unit? Once all water is drained out, the air conditioner should come on automatically.
Please make sure that the exhaust hose is not blocked or bent and able to vent the hot air with moisture to the outside. It is common that the unit is not able to exhaust the moisture collected if your room temperature is low or if the outside is raining or extremely humid. Also, sometimes when you first start running an air conditioner, the self evaporating system may not function in full capacity.
Also, you may want to set up the air conditioner to have continuous drainage by inserting a drain hose to the drain spout if you live in a humid location."
In order to put a pan under it, I had to elevate it on blocks. The pan filled up every three hours so I had to set my alarm to empty the pan.
The company offered a drainage hose but because it doesn't have the capability of pushing out the water, I would have to elevate the unit above the bottom of my window as to put the hose out the window. I contacted them again.
This is what they said: "Thank you for your reply. In order to set up continuous drainage, we recommend to elevate the air conditioner. We can send you a continuous drainage hose which you can connect to the drain plug of the air conditioner. to drain out the moisture continuously."
That defeats the purpose of "portable" so I guess if you live somewhere where it is very humid, this may not be the unit for you.
I was able to hook this unit up quickly. I had to cut the plastic window assembly, which was too long for the width of my window, which was easy to do with a metal ruler and a utility knife. I also had to seal up the edges where the assembly meets the window frame, which I did by cutting some foamcore strips to the right width, covering them in black duct tape, taping them to the top and bottom of the plastic window assembly, placing the assembly in the window, and sealing the joins with more black duct tape. Using duct tape that matched the black window frame made it look neat and seamless. Aside from buying the materials, it took around 30 minutes total to get this out of the box, hooked up and working.
This unit emits a steady stream of freezing cold air, taking my apartment down from the 73-76 degrees provided by the building's unit to around 65-68, which I find much more comfortable. So far I've left it on most of the last 3 weeks and haven't had to empty it yet. The cooling is most effective near the unit, which I keep near my desk and bed, and less effective across the apartment in the kitchen, which is closed off allowing less circulation, and has a refrigerator emitting heat into the room.
The unit emits about the same amount of noise as a large fan. I find this easy to sleep to. Whether or not the compressor is on or off, the noise level is about the same. This unit is one of the smaller portable air conditioners I've encountered, which should make it easy to store in the winter.
It does what it's supposed to. There are plenty of features on it.
The weight is impressive. I read that it was heavy but for it's size, it's...heavy.
I was lucky that the unit arrived in good condition. Due to the weight, I believe it could be shipped with more protection and I can see how others received broken units.
This thing runs constantly. I live in a dry climate so I don't have to empty any reservoirs. It's still keeping things cool. The filters are easy to get to and clean.

I've owned and used several portable air conditioners over the years and I'm truly surprised at the speed of innovation over the last several years. Now it has come to a point where portable units have moved beyond your functional clunky beige contraption to something that has been designed to subtly blend into the surroundings. After deciding between this and a Delonghi (yes, I've finally arrived now that I can afford high-end appliances!) I decided to go with the more compact unit that was at a more affordable price point. I've been using this for about a month now and have been completely satisfied with nearly all aspects. One little gripe that I have, is the absence of handles on the side, it definitely is heavy too. It does however churn out very very cold air, look extremely slick and is a snap to use. The remote control has a myriad of functions that I will eventually use one day but for now, I just need the icey relief from a hot spring day.Best Deals on Whynter SNO ECO-FRIENDLY 13000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner
Great unit, I bought it to cool off the upstairs hallway and bathroom. It actually cools off the whole second floor of my home which keeps the downstairs cooler. Most portables have to be emptied everyday but this unit doesnt need to be emptied for at least a week (I know hard to believe). I like that it has two intakes on both sides and they are easy to clean. It isnt as heavy as my other portable units. I didnt have any problems with shipping. I am really happy with the unit, as a matter of fact, I am buying another one today and throwing out the old one that leaks all over my floor!Honest reviews on Whynter SNO ECO-FRIENDLY 13000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner
This is a great little air conditioner. I was skeptical about buying a portable A/C due to the many complaints I've read about them, but due to the restrictions in my NYC co-op prohibiting window air conditioners, a portable was my only choice. I bought this to supplement the mediocre central air in my apartment, which is both too weak for the space it's supposed to cool, and not activated in time for the season's first heat wave. This usually happens in late April or early May and forces me out of my un-air-conditioned apartment for a few days.I was able to hook this unit up quickly. I had to cut the plastic window assembly, which was too long for the width of my window, which was easy to do with a metal ruler and a utility knife. Works really well. Built into a bathroom wall. It is super quite. I think it would heat/cool a larger space than it says. I love the energy saver function where the fan turns off also until needed. The install kit that comes with it is complete but you do need a wall sleeve.
I would not recommend purchasing this product.

I purchased this product to heat and cool a small well insulated office space of approximately 160 square feet. It's supposed to heat 350 square feet. During the summer months I was quite pleased with the cooling. When I needed heat this fall I was greatly disappointed. The air from the front grill is barely warm. It took an hour and forty-five minutes to raise the room temperature from fifty-five degrees to sixty-five degrees. When I called Frigidaire's Customer Service I was told this unit was only to be used as a "supplemental heat source". Meaning I had to have a primary heat source to heat the room before this Frigidaire heater would do any good. Nothing in the advertising information says anything about this being a "supplemental heat source". Instead of purchasing this product, go to Walmart and buy a room air conditioner for $150 and two small "milkhouse" electric heaters for $40.00 each. Even one 1800 watt "milkhouse" heater will put out more heat than the Frigidaire and be much cheaper to operate.I would not recommend purchasing this product.

We were searching for a wall unit for a bakery. After a lot of searching and having to narrow down our search to a 110v machine, this was a great choice! I paid a contractor to remove my old unit, the only source of heat in the condo. He installed the Frigidaire and everything but the heat works. The heat comes on for two minutes, then shuts off, all the lights start blinking and it beeps until I shut it down. I've been on the phone with Frigidaire, who state that the unit is unfixable and also that they cannot find any Frigidaire contractor to replace it. Therefore, the only option is that they will refund my money for the purchase but not my installation costs. In the meantime, it has been a week and a half.....I have no heat. I have to find the serial number stickers on the unit to return with my receipt to Frigidaire in order to "start" the refund process. (my contractor will have to come back over to do this and I will have to pay him again.) I'm very upset and now will not purchase anything frigidaire again.Review of Model 50 Premium Unbreakable Air Deflector
As other reviewers have noted, this is a great deflector, does the job well, strong magnets keep it in place and it has strong, sturdy construction. I don't know if I'd test out the "Unbreakable" guarantee on the box, but it definitely does the job and is ready to go straight out of the box.
If you are trying to decide (like I was) between this one and the $1.50 cheaper Deflect-O 99 Plastic Magnetic Air Deflector, please just go with this one. I couldn't tell what the difference was so I ordered both out of curiosity. Well this one is Made in the USA of much thicker plastic with sturdier construction--the other one is made in China and is quite flimsy and has a hard time staying together when extended beyond 10". Don't waste your $$ on the other one--stick with this one, Made in the USA and will last much longer for only a buck fifty or so more.
After over 6 months of ownership, I can say these are pretty durable too. I have one in a high traffic area that's been kicked dozens of times, and it hasn't been broken or scratched yet.

This is good for a ceiling vent but probably not for a floor vent. It's very flimsy but holds to the ceiling vent well. Since it won't ever be touched up there, it works great! But if it was on the floor and could be bumped, I don't think it would hold up well. Overall, we're very pleased. Fine product for the price.Best Deals on Model 50 Premium Unbreakable Air Deflector
This is a very straightforward product comprising two pieces that easily slide together for adjustable fit. They use hard magnets rather than the flexible type, and have no problem sticking strongly to my vents. I haven't painted over my vents so I don't know how that would affect them, but I think they would be just fine. The price is very reasonable for what you get, which is a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do.After over 6 months of ownership, I can say these are pretty durable too. I ordered two models of Deflecto vents and both are outstanding. Heavy duty plastic, large strong magnets on the side and they work perfectly. Would recommend to anyone, especially since these are impossible to find locally, just try asking for one in your local home depot/lowes, they're never even heard of the product.
