My husband and I just got our first Bunn coffee maker and we couldn't be happier. We weren't sure if we wanted to invest that much money in a coffee maker, but after trying several other brands that just didn't last, we decided to get the Bunn. I love the way this model looks, with it's updated styling and rounded design, and my husband loves not having to wait for his first cup of coffee. The coffee tastes great and the temperature is just perfect. I had read some reviews of Bunn coffee makers that warned of the coffee being dispensed so quickly that it sprayed out all over the place, but we haven't had that trouble at all. I did make sure to buy Bunn filters, though, because they are taller than the other brands. This coffee maker looks great in my kitchen, and is so easy to clean up, too. It was very well designed--even down to the carafe, which pours easily without having to be turned upside down to get out the last drop. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who makes coffee daily. It will most certainly be money well spent!

My coffeemaker just arrived yesterday, and most of the time I don't write reviews for products, but I couldn't wait to tell about this product. First, it takes about 20 minutes to set up, but it is easy. I set it up the night before, and couldn't wait until the next morning to try it out. The concept is so greatyou only use the amount of water you put in. It really brews in 3 minutes of less-I made a half of a pot so it was less time. I will have to experiment with the amount of grounds, as it makes weaker coffee with the same amount of grounds that I used for the cheapo, takes forever, old coffee maker. I had to get some type of new coffee maker as my old one was making coffee that was bitter. I have never paid more than $20.00 at Wally World for one, but something had to be done. I am delighted. I definately think it is worth the price, and I can see that it will last a long time. I was suprised after ordering this and going to a friend's house I saw her with a Bunn maker. She told me that is the only kind she uses. I also love the instant hot water. It is quiet-no gurgles. Another nice feature is the porcelain warmer. Also, the carafe doesn't drip or spill-it pours beautifully. My old one spilled while pouring and was very annoying. I will definately take everyone else's advice and only use the Bunn filters. I am very happy with my purchase, and Amazon has always been good to me.

While we were pleased with the quality of the coffee produced, we are totally fed up with its leaking and dumping water. We live in a rural area and at least a couple of times a year the power goes out. This coffee pot has a 'vacation' setting that you use when on vacation. If you unplug appliances when you travel you'll return to a counter full of water and an empty coffee maker. Unfortunately, if the power goes out, the coffee maker decides that it has been unplugged and dumps its contents all over the counter.

Also, after years of ones that turn themselves off after a couple of hours, it is annoying to spend this much for one and have that basic feature missing. One instance of brain rot could easily burn down your house if you forget to turn off the pot before leaving the house.

This is a great coffee maker. It lives up to all of its claims and more. It truly does make the coffee in three minutes or less and the coffee tastes wonderful. The fact that it sprays the ground coffee instead of drowning it makes for a smooth and rich cup of coffee. I really like the pour spout on the pot as they found a way that makes it dripless. So far it has worked consistently fine in all ways. The attention to every small detail truly shows in the results. You can pay more or pay less, but this coffee maker lives up to its reputation and is well worth the price.

I got my second Bunn coffeemaker this past Christmas after our first one finally started wearing out. I have always loved how coffee tastes in restaurants and wished my coffee would come out that way at home. I typically saw Bunn coffeemakers in restaurants so I told my husband that I wish I could have one of those for home, but at the time, I knew I wouldn't have one as I thought they were just expensive and large commercial grade machines and not made for home use. Well, a few years ago, my husband surprised me with a home Bunn coffeemaker for Christmas and I was amazed at how great the coffee tasted just like in a restaurant! I knew then that the Bunn coffeemaker would be the only coffeemaker we would ever buy from now on. So, again, I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased to open another Bunn coffeemaker for Christmas to replace our aged one. I HIGHLY recommend this coffeemaker.

My windows can't handle a window air conditioner without major hassles. Great to have a solution I can use for the odd week of too hot weather then easily put away again. Nice to have the option of cooling the bedroom area at night and the wife's home office during the day. I like the ARC-143MX. The 3M filter instead of the carbon one (ARC-14S) means more air flow but no odor removal. Pick the model on that difference. Cools my 13x13 bedroom down from 81 to 72F in 30 minutes. Outside temperature usually dropping from 87 to 80 at the same time. I appreciate not having to dump out water! Casters roll easily. Not designed to go upstairs at night and downstairs every morning. Handles are just indentations on the sides of the shell: wouldn't take much to drop and lack of anything to grip makes two person carry by handles an iffy thing to do. Shell does not handle torque stress well. Compressor noise is a little too much for me to sleep next to but quiet enough to hold a conversation while standing around the ARC-143MX. The window kit is plain PVC and screws might strip out: it needed some caulk and stick-on foam strips to not let in outside air and bugs. Would be better if window kit was designed so intake and exhaust could be spaced as far apart as the width of the window opening instead of fixed at a few inches apart. Remote easier to use than front-facing controls on unit because unit display awkward to read unless kneeling. Unit is tall enough that the cold air is mixing in the upper part of the room and not getting trapped by the bed or couch. Power cord length is good but I can see where longer would come in handy. For a product in this price range, the timer should be upgraded to do daily scheduled on and off timings.

I like the ARC-143MX and hope the next model gets a few tweaks.

It works really well! The only problems with it deal with the extensions.

1) Measure the distance from your window and make sure the hoses will reach! We're using this for our basement and the windows are really high up! We had to put it on pieces of wood about a foot in the air. But the windows are so high that the hose barely reach, they're lightly hanging on...

2) Emptying the dehumidifier is ridiculous! It is a little plug in the back! I would be much easier if it was a bucket you could take out from the front but noooo! You have to put a small bowl or deep plate underneath it to catch the water as it dribbles out. While it says "can pump 101(ish) pints/day" is does not HOLD that much. It only holds about 2 cups! (4 pints!) Such a disappointment. If you want to drain it with a hose, you have to buy a condensate pump which is another $50-100! The last problem, is because of the height issue, every time we need to empty it, we have to detach the hoses and turn it around! This was a HORRIBLE design!

All in all, if you want it for cooling or a fan, it's AWESOME! If you want it for dehumidifying, look elsewhere.

I really like the product and it cools very well. I purchased 2 to cool a kitchen with lots of refrigeration equipment. I was not able to use the window part because I had to drill through the wall for my venting. Had a sheetmetal shop find me some 5" dryer type vents one with a flap and one with out. It was complicated to get it all set up. The one real downfall I have with it is that that they have to stand out from the wall about 18" to the back of the units. It takes up far more floor space than I was expecting. I'm sure that a more clever installer could come up with a way to make the area more compact.

If you want cool, then this is a great unit.

However, to drain the machine, there is no attachment , so a dish-like tray needs to be underneath .The dish has to be squeezed in under the unit. It can't be too deep, or it will overflow and wet the rug or floor. VERY POOR DESIGN REGARDING THE DRAIN PORT.

THEY NEED TO DESIGN IT HIGHER AND ADD AN ACCESSORY LIKE A DEEP TRAY WITH A LIP THAT GOES UNDERNEATH THE DRAIN PORT.

only 4 stars because of the port/drainage design.

ps. I received a reply from the company today after writing this review and they advised attaching a 5/8" silicone hose to the drain port to make things easier. LOL LOL

This unit is heavy. I had expected that a unit rated at 14,000 BYU would be a super cooler. Not so much. For the size, it is unable to cope with temps over 90 degrees. I would recommend a smaller unit with a better fan and a continuous operation function.

Heat circulation is not even from top to bottom (you have to rotate the trays every few hours to keep the dehydration between trays consistent)

No temperature settings for custom drying levels and times

Power cord is only a couple feet long (fine if you have counter space where the power outlet is)

As a final note, I haven't used this unit more than 10 times. I have always had good results and the unit does exactly what it's supposed to. I would call this a beginner level dehydrator and now that I've had some experienced with dehydrating, I think I would purchase a more advanced model. My dehydrator is the exact same model as the one on Amazon, but mine was not purchased from Amazon.

I spent hours searching for the right buffet server and the Oster did not disappoint! The much larger trays will fit all the food you need for entertaining, you won't be hurting for space with this model. I had food out for my son's birthday for over 5 hours and everything stayed warm. I used it a few days later for a build your own fajita party outside and no problems keeping food warm on a table outside. It's a large piece but with it's size you won't be hurting for room to serve all your food at once. I'm glad I bought this and plan to put it to good use over the holidays. No more lukewarm meals!

No more juggling side dishes in and out of oven trying to make sure everything is warm. No runs to microwave to heat a plate.

I tried putting food in from fridge and after about 2 hours was luke warm so I put the sides in the oven to heat them up then transferred them into the buffet server and put on high.

Kept everything warm, burnt dressing a little on bottom so I would say leave on low if you have already heated your sides.

Did not give it 5 stars because there was no opening in the top for serving spoons.

Overall very pleased with purchase and price.

I have several Oster brand products and love each one. Since I cook in large quantities and entertain often it's SO helpful to have the 'right' products. The Oster stainless stell buffet server IS one of those 'right' products!

It is a piece of cake (no pun intended) to set up, fill up, use and clean up! One tip put food in warm / hot NOT cold. This buffet server will keep your food warm and at the perfect setting for hours but it will not heat it up / cook it / burn it like some others will. I love it and I have have used it several times already. I can see using it often for many years to come.

I have not yet gotten an electric bill after using this heater, but I do like it very much. It is portable, and I can leave it right against a wall and not worry (the wheels keep it 4 or so inches from the drywall) and the room where I do computer work is far from the thermostat for the oil burner, so it tends to be colder than the rooms next to the thermostat. This heater fills the warmth gap nicely. I even use the remote which came with it. As long as it stays connected to the power supply, it retains the last setting I used. When it is unplugged, it reverts to the default settings, so that is something to be watchful for. I have only used it on low; the high seems to have a large draw on the power supply and "high" is the default. It arrived before hurricane Sandy which left my home without power for seven days; a small generator helped us with absolutely necessary power such as keeping the fridge going, and I used this heater along with a small portable propane heater to keep the house bearable.

I purchased a Koolatron cooler and noted that the manual stated that non-Koolatron AC/DC adaptors should not be used and would void the warranty. Rather than take the chance with my old adaptor from a different brand electric cooler, I decided to order a new one. Koolatron offers its adaptor at its web site and I just about ordered it, but then compared Amazon's offering. The identical adaptor at Amazon is half the price of the one through Koolatron. I've used it a number of times and it works fine. It also has about twice the wattage capability of my old adaptor. One caution: the cooler cools or heats depending on how the adaptor or DC plug is connected to the cooler cord. Tell everyone who might use the cooler about this. I failed to tell my wife, and she thought she was cooling a load of food, when, in fact, she was heating it. Big mess.

Bought this adapter to work with the Koolatron P-20 cooler (/warmer), but unfortunately after 30 minutes of cooling indoors it began to emit a burned resistor smell. And when I picked it up, it was very hot to the touch. Not good signs, from my experience.

Comparing it to my AC-to-DC adapter from Igloo, it's much lighter and seems to be under-designed. You can't fool Mother Nature--increased weight usually means greater power handling capacity. In this case it just isn't there. Overheating isn't what I bought it for, either. In contrast, the Igloo adapter works endlessly with getting overly hot or giving off a smell. It weighs almost twice as much, too, which seems to be related.

Save your time and money and get something more capable. You'll be glad you did. Amazon has been breathtakingly cooperative in this matter, by the way, at least so far. Free return shipping and emailed labels are the way it should be done.

We do a lot of travel staying at many hotels/motels. Some have refrigerators,and some not. Sometimes they charge $10 to $25/day! To cut costs on meals, we like to take our own and need a cooling device. The Koolatron is excellent and cools as we travel with the cigar lighter plug. It also has a heating option which we have not used, but with potluck meals at church, I'm sure that will come in handy as well.

I currently have the fireplace floor standing but think it will look much better wall mounted. It is electric so the flame is basically a light bulb that flickers with a motor rotating foil. Looks decent but can def tell its a fake flame. The heat it produces is minimal and may be good for a bedroom but not anything much bigger. The heat is pushed out the top of the unit so nothing can be with 4ft of the top. Also since heat rises most of it goes right up to ceiling. I have a ceiling fan to help with this. The glass cover is nice and makes it look nice when hung on wall. The unit looks nice and modern and produces some heat. It's more for looks than for purpose.

I like this sleek contemporary black fireplace. The white coals are real and have to be placed on the bottom shelf before sliding on the black frame. Right now I am just using it for decoration. I haven't tried the heat settings yet. I placed it on the bottom shelf of my baker's rack. I removed the top shelf of my baker's rack because the instructions say to leave a specified amount of space at the top when the heat is on. I chose this product because a similar product from another store was sold out. I like this product better because it can be either wall mounted or free standing. The product I originally wanted was 36" wide and wall mount only. I think it may have been dangerous to mount the other 36" wide product on the wall. This one is just right for me.

This item works well. However do not try to compare it to Electrical blankets you are used to using at home. It takes a while to heat up the mattress, and I have found it takes far too long for my mattress to cool back down after I turn it down, or off. The coldest I have used it so far is in 45 degree conditions, and I left it on a setting of one and used 1 fairly thick blanket over a very thin blanket, over the sheet. Mostly I use it to preheat the bed then turn it off, or to it's lowest setting.

I have it under a comforter under my bedsheet and cannot feel it, or the wires, or the safety pins you must use to pin it to the mattress. But there is no doubt it is on when you crawl into a toasty bed. Turn it on at least 30 minutes beforehand.

The claimed 4 amp draw and the 5 amp fuse must be applicable only to the single model. I have the twin and it draws 6.2 amps. It cycles on and off frequently but silently, and the temperature dial is also the thermostat, so keeping it outside the covers will allow it to run more often( warm the mattress more) than if is is under the covers.

The dial is numbered 1 through 7. It actually turns on at well below one on the dial. The Ciggy plug is one of the best designs out there. It fits snugly and does not warm up significantly. My Laptop can draw similar amperage through a ciggy plug, and it has partially melted the supplied ciggy plug.

In my experience it will use a minimum of 1.5 amp hours per hour on the lowest setting. Keep in mind that alternator does okay at replenishing a battery that is below 80%, but will take forever to bring it from 80% to 100%. Using this product night after night without adequate driving or other charging source in between will abuse your battery, and eventually leave you needing a jumpstart, and after a few jumpstarts, a new battery. Do not believe that your 140 amp HD alternator can replenish a battery in under an hour. Batteries cannot accept those currents for very long(under a minute), if at all, and the OEM wiring cannot transmit it even if the alternator could produce it in the engine compartment, rather than a Laboratory

Also a Marine/ dual purpose battery should be used as opposed to a starting battery. Starting batteries cannot handle deeper discharges and will self destruct prematurely. True Deep Cycle batteries are best for powering this heating pad, but 12 volt true deep cycle batteries are not that easy to find, and about 30% more expensive than regular starting or Marine batteries.

We spend 6 months of the year on our boat. Getting into bed at night we noticed that the bedding was more humid than we liked, not damp, just more moisture than we like. We also had occasional mildew on the walls. Somewhat skeptically, I ordered the heated mattress pad to try it out and since it did plug into 12v.

Wow! What a difference getting into bed at night. The bunk is nice and comfy and all traces of moisture in the bedding is gone and as a plus, we have not seen the reappearance of mildew on the walls. So far we haven't seen the need to leave it on all night but we could with the modest current draw. This is one great product to have on a boat! It's my wife's favorite addition over the last 12 months.

The mattress pad was bought as gift for someone sick and when finally opened to use, it wasn't new but old and stained and ugly. Because a gift, the 30d return passed, and when vendor was notified, they asked for it to be returned, which I did promptly. After receiving the return she said it had been too long and a refund or exchange could not be honored. So I bought a gift that was embarrassingly used and stained when opened, then paid for the return to vendor and lost not only the original purchase cost but the return shipping too. So, was it sent out used to someone else? Bad experience all around. Worst response ever had with internet order.

just turn it on and cover it up for 30 min before use. Reduce to minimum when the engine is off. It will eat up your battery in 3 hours anyway. I use it in my semi truck (it has 4 big sections of batteries).

My house is a small one, about 800 square feet of space. I live in upstate New York, just east of Lake Ontario, and when it's not snowing off the lake, it's cold, just the same. Winters are usually not mild ones. My house is set to be heated with electric baseboard heat, and I have a Timberline fireplace insert that will heat the whole house should I want to use wood. About six years ago, I bought a 1500 watt Sun Cloud zone heater, which is rated for up to 800 square feet of space. It is thermostat controlled and uses four 375 watt infrared bulbs to provide the heat. The bulbs heat many flagella like tubes through which the heated air is blown and out into the room. It looks much like every other similar heater being sold these days, but the inner shell is metal and the outer shell is wood (oak, cherry or mahogany). What makes this heater so much better than other designs is that you don't have to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs. Anything that might go wrong can easily be fixed locally if necessary. The bulbs can be found at your local electric store, and so can the thermostat or blower. Parts are simple, not complex, and your local handyman can repair it easily! I have been using this heater for all the cold months that I have owned it, and if the outside temperature stays about 30 degrees, the house never gets chilly. Anything below 30 degrees will drop the temp to say 67 degrees, but I just augment the house temp with my baseboard heat and everything is toasty. Since the unit is thermostatically controlled, it cycles on and off as necessary, but even if it ran all night and day, it would only use 1.5 kilowatt/hours of electricity per hour, times 24 hours which equals 36 kilowatt hours of electricity per day! Multiply that by your local electricity rate (say 10 cents per kilowatt hour of usage), and you can readily see that it cannot cost more to use than $3.60 per day! As I said, the thermostat allows it to cycle on and off, so for most people, it will cost less than $3.60 per day to use. I am so happy with my unit that I bought two more units to augment my mother's home, which has more than double the floor space that my home has. She heats with oil and uses from 3 to 5 gallons per day in the winter months. With oil prices soaring, she should save money using Sun Cloud.

I purchased this heater to supplement the heat from my furnace. So far it has been great. I don't know yet how it will effect my gas & electric bill but judging by how infrequently my furnace kicks on it should do wonders for my gas bill. It's quiet, I hardly even notice it's on. Just like they advertise, the outside doesn't get too hot to touch. It looks great in my living room, like just another piece of furniture. I definitely made a good decision buying this.

This heater is a piece of crap..The element burn out quickly as attested to my many poor reviews on other sites. When it did work for three weeks, it was noisy. Used this to heat a room for my elderly incontinent dog and the heater just quit, like so many others have complained of. It also DOUBLED my electric bill when it did work. Guess I don't have to worry about that now. At least it did not shoot out sparks like some have said. NEVER buy this horrible product. Look at what this person said:This heater was the determined cause of my total loss house fire. I thought the company would atleast help me find some where else to live, they seem to care. But, as of lately they are doing nothing.

I bought this at Walmart a few months ago for $40 (on sale). It got us through a mild winter, but after only 3 and a half months of occasional use it started spitting sparks and smoking, filling our apartment with a horrible burning plastic smell. I was really disappointed since we haven't even had it 4 months and didn't even use it all the time. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it.

So as a warning for anyone still willing to buy this: DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED, EVEN WHILE SLEEPING OR STEPPING OUTSIDE FOR A FEW MINUTES!

I love my litte cottage but it has no fireplace and only electric heat. That fact did not bother me until a couple of years ago when my neighborhood was without power for a week following a severe winter storm. Both me and my house survived the ordeal (thankfully no broken pipes despite temperatures in the 20's) but I swore I would be ready for the next one. And so the hunt for an altnerante heat source for emergencies began. I considered a wood stove but as someone who grew up with a wood stove I can tell you that despite the stylishly charming photos in the magazines they have their draw backs: they are messy, often burn too hot, expensive, and in my case they take up space my little cottage just did not have. Plus where do I store the fire wood?

This item was the perfect alternative.

First off, the antique bronze finish looks terrific, it looks both classic and modern at the same time. But let me tell you about the warmth. The flame heats up the metal and the metal radiates heat in every direction -fast! I definitely recommend a portable fireplace. I was surprised just how much heat this thing puts out. You can use it in fireplace mode with the gel fuel or put candles in it for every day use. The fuel is affordable but not cheap. Figure 2 cans at $2.50 each for a 3 hour burn. I use it occasionally for those times during the holidays when I want the charm of an open fire. Plus when the power goes out again I will be ready.

The gel fuel burns with more moisture in the air so don't be surpised if your windows steam up. This gets 5 stars in my book!

SEI Portable Indoor/Outdoor Fireplace

This really will give you some warmth if you live in an apartment or condo or small space. The fire really crackles and sounds like a real burning fireplace. Cool idea.

I have to say it's nice looking, lightweight and does its job. I don't think it gives off quite as much heat as I'd like and it doesn't last very long, about two hours, with two cans. (But that's more of a complaint about the fuel, which is expensive by the way.) The unit is overpriced for what it is since it just houses the cans and flames. Maybe its metal case does help with the movement of heat but really it is just a metal case with cute glass windows and two wells for holding cans. I would really be impressed if it was priced more reasonably like $40.

The concept of alcohol-gel indoor fireplaces was a revelation for me, living in a small apartment without a fireplace. It enlivens the atmosphere while providing a small amount of heat. This model was very reasonably priced compared to others I saw, but I agree with another reviewer that it's ultimately an overpriced piece of metal. Still, other models were more expensive, so I feel it was worth it.

After installing a larger three burner version in a friend's condo (see my review of SEI Black Arch Top Wall Mount Gel Fuel Fireplace) I wanted one for our place, and liked the fact that this one could be moved around to different rooms. Couldn't be happier!

Hint: It is not necessary to use the included adhesive mounting tape for the glass panels, as they will not come out unless the entire unit is inverted. Leaving them loose allows for easier cleaning down the road.

Buyer beware this is not a simple installation. We hired a professional installer who read the directions thoroughly several times. He understood the unit would need to go into the wall six inches in order to mount flush with the wall. We thought our wall was 4 inches deep. He built a frame but after making the wall cut, discovered an iron pipe behind the cut. He then started over with a new frame and was able to complete the install. The cutting, frame building and time needed to purchase new materials required 10 hours of his time.......no small expense. The remote did not work. The company responded saying they will ship a new remote. The flame presentation is lovely. One thing we did not know until we read the installation directions is that when the light bulbs go out, the entire unit must be pulled from the wall to replace the bulbs.
