Perfect to heat up an unheated California Room on a chilly Southern California Desert night. Love it so much, thinking of getting another one for a different room.

Reviews of Duraflame 10HM1342-O128 Infared Quartz Electric Room Heater Air
Well, we've only had this baby on three times so far, but she unpacked and rolled to her new home in the sun room very smoothly and heated the large area quickly and quietly. If the coming winter presents any problems I'll check back in. Perfect so far!
this would not heat such a large area. It is doing a very good job of back-up heat as I have an oil furnace which runs much less, saving expensive oil. My 80 year old husband is very sensitive to cold so this is an ideal solution to warm his area without raising the furnace thermostat to heat other areas. I have recommended it to other friends and family.

I live up on a mountain where it quickly turns from summer to winter. My basement is almost completely underground and stays cold year round (great in the summer!) and the tile floor doesn't help to retain any heat. Basically the basement gets REAL cold in the winter. Thus far the heater works well to heat the 700sq ft area with 96" ceilings, but it can take some time to heat the entire area. Usually in an hour or two the room is heated and comfortable. I really enjoy the remote and the display. I did a large amount of research on electric heaters, and for your money, this is the best value.Best Deals on Duraflame 10HM1342-O128 Infared Quartz Electric Room Heater Air

Good looking e-oil warmer. Works very well and doesn't overheat/burn the oil. I fill the cup with warm water and add 8-10 drops of oil to the water for a long lasting effect. It is wonderful!!
Just in case you were wondering about the durability, it is ceramic and will crack if you drop it or it falls off the desk/table/counter (as mine did). However, it still works fine, so this isn't an issue for me.
The one thing I don't like about this warmer is that the power cord is annoyingly short. It is only about 2.5 feet long (maybe less). I wanted to put the warmer on my desk and connect it to the surge protector hidden in the cabinet of my desk, but the cord doesn't even make it halfway there (barely makes it straight to the floor from the edge of the desk). Just make sure that there is an outlet very close to where you want to use this or make sure you have an extension cord available.

Oil warmer works very well. I bought it because it was one of the few oil warmers that doesn't use a light bulb for heat. It is easy to keep clean and operates at the perfect temperature.Best Deals on Gifts & Decor White Electric Ceramic Stoneware Oil Warmer Home Decor

I have wasted so much money on candles and last only a while and other expensive plug-ins to try to fill my room with a lasting fragrance. This has finally fixed all of that! I use just a little bit (a couple of drops) of oils or left over perfumes I have around and the room is filled with fragrance within minutes and lasts about 4-5 hours. It's VERY cheap to upkeep and to refill. Will order a second one just in case!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Gifts & Decor White Electric Ceramic Stoneware Oil Warmer Home Decor
So far i have only tried wax in this and it does a pretty good job. Once you can barely smell the wax then just turn off, let it cool pop out the wax and pop some new stuff in.Saturday, October 18, 2014
Cheap Ouellet Heavy Duty Steel Electric Garage/Workshop Heater, Model#
Considering this heater is cheaper than ones on the market I'd say its ok. When I first got it one of the fan blades was bent and was hitting something inside to the point that the fan wouldn't rotate. After bending it back the fan functions normally. Heats up my one car uninsulated garage to about 55 deg F on a 30 deg day in an hour.
Very quiet and seems power efficient. Thermostat would be more useful if it went down to 35 degrees or 40 degrees, As it is I had to wire it in series with a honeywell 240volt heater thermostat that goes down to 40 degrees so I don't end up heating my crawlspace to a 50 degree temp. I just need a temp over 35 degrees minimum to keep my pipes from freezing.
My crawl space is about 20ftx20ftx4foot high Seasonal ambient crawl space temps without any heating run about 53 degrees summer down to 29 degrees winter
Seems to work extremely well, and I avoid the cost of having to put in a 30 AMP line.
We'll see how long it lasts knock on wood.

I thought it would get warmer but we had a cold winter and it did help in the garage this year. Wish it was just a bit hotter. Installed easy but use the small 20amp 220 volt outlet. I had to wait till it came because the product has two outlets in the instructions.Honest reviews on Ouellet Heavy Duty Steel Electric Garage/Workshop Heater, Model#
I already had 30A 240V outlets in my workshop so I decided to get this heater to run in conjunction with an electric in-wall heater I already had. On occasion I have used just the ouellette heater and it brings my 336 sq ft shop up to a comfortable temperature quickly. The fan is moderately loud but it is necessary to quickly circulate the cold air in and warm air out. I am using the wall bracket and have it mounted about 6' off the ground. Made in Canada which is a plus for me. Happy with it so far.Friday, October 10, 2014

We've had the first one for a month, and have just ordered a second. So far, it has worked exceptionally well. Bought the first one after using an electric oil-filled radiator-type heater for a few years. They seem generally to work well, and they feel safer to me than standard space heaters that get red hot and seem poised to set fire to anything close. Our cats like to lounge close to these things, so safety is always an important consideration. We live in NYC and have steam radiator heat that seems to switch on and off randomly, so sometimes it gets seriously chilly in our apartment. One of these little HG-450 units does the trick for the bedroom, keeping things nice and warm. I've just ordered a second unit for the second bedroom, which I use as an office. Hopefully they won't explode right after I've submitted a glowing review... If not, though, these things are excellent.
The heater would be used in the living room which is an open area with a 9" high ceiling. The heating system in the house is forced air with vents in the ceiling, and since warm air rises, warming the room below to a decent temperature is practically impossible and financially prohibitive, as I use electric heat. To add insult to injury, forced air heating blows out air that creates a cold wind when it comes on, so it's not only a huge waste of money, it's also very crude and just ridiculous.
A month ago I decided to heat the room solely with space heaters. I have an electric fireplace with a heater on the lowest setting, a baseboard heater I bought a week before (Fahrenheat Baseboard Heater #FBE15002), and an old oil-filled heater. It didn't get warm and barely raised the temperature and I was quite disappointed -until I got this heater. What a world of difference! The place becomes so toasty and temps keep rising, I even have to lower it! With this 3-heater combination, residual heat flows into the rest of the downstairs area, which includes kitchen, dining room, foyer, even the powder room.
There is one downside to this heater. The timer is not really programmable and limited to only 2, 4 and 8 hours, and when set on timer, it comes on at the highest setting. But the amount of heat it gives out well makes up for this slight inconvenience.
I highly recommend this heater and I'm getting another one for my bedroom, which is a big room and my older oil-filled heaters can't handle it.
It heats the room so I'm happy.
I also ordered "DeLonghi Oil-Filled Radiator with Overheat Audible Alarm". I like the "NewAir" heater a little better because it has a timer (just 2, 4 and 8-hour settings)

When I saw this heater I wondered why it costs this much when there are other oil-filled heaters that cost $30-40 less. I zoomed in on the product shot and noticed there are more vents on the main fin where the control panel is. If more vents means more heat, then it'll be worth it. So I took a gamble and ordered one.The heater would be used in the living room which is an open area with a 9" high ceiling. I bought this heater based on some reviews the features mentioned in other reviews I actually mostly agree with. It is quiet, it has a nice display and the unit is small. But as far as effectiveness as a heater it stinks. Unless you're heating a very small room it's inadequate. I have some other small space heaters and they are more noisy but they run less and heat more. I'd trade the quiet for better throughput. When the vornado runs for a long time (hours) The output seems to be noticeably less warm than when it first runs. The unit also has a safety feature which automatically turns it off in case it's tipped. This is a great safety feature that should be in all space heaters but on the vornado the switch is so sensitive that it sometimes turned off even if it's just lightly bumped even though it's still sitting completely upright. Even on hardwood floors I have to go press the unit down to get it to start heating again. I would not buy another and am even more upset at its poor heating given its high price.
Technology has gotten better and better. Now, with our Vornado, following the instructions, we can strategically place it in a room and it creates a vortex of air that deflects itself around the entire room. This little device packs a punch.
Sometimes, my wife wants instant gratification when her feet are cold. She will aim it at her feet in the conventional way we used space heaters. This little gem works great in that mode also.

We got this heater to maintain the temperature in the nursery without having to heat the whole house. It's great! I was always worried that my little one would get too hot or cold during the night. This gives me one less thing to worry about. Bonus points for providing pleasant t white noise and for being a fan (noted for reducing risk of SIDS). Worth the price for the reassurance but still high in my opinion.Honest reviews on Vornado iControl Whole Room Vortex Heater, Automatic Climate Control
When I was a young adult, I was amazed at the neat little room heaters that became popular. They were basically just heating coils that generated heat out the front of the little metal box that sat on the floor. They were power drains. They were dangerous.Technology has gotten better and better. Now, with our Vornado, following the instructions, we can strategically place it in a room and it creates a vortex of air that deflects itself around the entire room. ...from heaven. This is possibly the nicest heater I have ever owned/seen. Quiet, safe, cool to the touch, 2 heat modes, and a fairly accurate temperature sensor. The controls on the heater are kind of a hassle and I much prefer to use the remote. Besides that I LOVE this heater. Well worth the $150 IMO.Sunday, August 24, 2014

I am a popcorn lover, and I like this machine
Pros:
8 oz Size
-Makes enough popcorn for 3 to 4 people. Using 8oz popcorn packs, it makes awesome popcorn, and a lot of it.
Features
-I like the heating element underneath to keep the popcorn hot, not sure if this is a standard feature, but I like it. The old maid drawer is pretty big.
Looks
-I like the skyline look on the glass. The black on top matches the stainless steel.
Cons:
Steel
-The Metal seems a little flimsy, and it was delivered with bent metal right where the old maid drawer is, but that was fixed with a pliers. The pin to keep the kennel in place had one hole drilled bad. The flip out bottom door is also thin and flimsy.
Looks
-The metal "vent" on top is just paint, and the icons for the switches are funky and unpolished.
Glass
-One of the doors was not straight. I tried to fix it my adjusting the hinges, but nothing helped. The one is good, but the other one is offset from the other and is harder to close than the good one.
Overall:
It works well, looks good, but it seems a little flimsy and the door problem made it lose a few points. The entire machine was packaged well, with no assembly. It did take about 5 days to ship, but it got to my house in 2 days. If you do not use premeasured packets with this machine, make sure you use atleast 1 TBSP of oil per 1/2 cup of popcorn. The manual says to use only 1 TBSP, but a cup of popcorn will not pop well with only that much. The door does say the correct amount. The scoop that comes with it is kind of small, but it works. I would recommend this machine to people who want a 8 oz popcorn popper.

I purchased this popcorn popper to help with making popcorn for my school on Fridays. I loved the general styling, espcially the stainless parts. I called Great Northern and they immediately offered to return it, no problem. I got the machine on Feb 9, 2012 and tried popping some corn immediately. Setup was very easy. The first time I used it, it took almost 12 minutes to pop 8 oz of corn which is not what is stated on the manual. I emailed Great Northern that night and got a response the very same night. The support was great and very responsive. I had to return the kettle for check up which turned out to be a defective thermostat. It was repaired and returned to me. We are very happy with the purchase and kids love the popcorn we are producing. On Saturday nights, we serve popcorn to 50 kids and so far the popcorn machine is able to handle the load.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Great Northern Popcorn 6255 Pop Frenzy Self Contained Popper
I did a fair amount of research before purchasing and believe this to be a good product. It has served well. Easy to use. Clean up is not as easy as I would like but not bad. There is a ridge along the inside bottom that is hard to clean and the kettle can be. Have found the vinegar works great for cleaning kettle. Would like a bigger one for what we do but for small groups will work wonders.Saturday, March 22, 2014
Review of Officially Licensed Marvel Captain America 1940's Shield Prop
Be very cautious buying this item from Redford Films. They are advertising the Version 2 shield with all red stripes. I received the order in a timely fashion but much to my shock it was the Version 1 shield with red AND blue stripes and NOT the Version 2 shield as pictured. In other words the shield they are showing is NOT the shield that shows up. This is a major difference as Version 2 is much more valuable to collectors and has a much more recognizable look. Additionally my shield arrived damaged. I had to go through Amazon for a refund and when I questioned the seller I received a horrible response that they were going to "block" me from buying from them because I complained about this in the feedback section.
I imagine the shield itself could be great if they were professional in detailing which one they were selling and it arrived without a massive dent in the middle. There was a very sad daddy and son in my house with this not-so mighty shield arrived. Buy with caution.
I did receive the 500, all red stripe one shown in the photo. I got it in primo condition and I could not be happier with it. Heads up tho that the plaque hooks go too deep so it will be hard to hang up unless you unscrew them a bit. They are still strong enough to hold up the shield easily.
Also if you catch the shield in the right light you can see divots on the front where they bolted the bars in, but you really need to look for them.
All in all, I could not be happier with this item. It's the first piece of "art" I've purchased and I've had a huge smile on my face for the past week I've had it.
Cheers.

I'm sorry to hear about the review above me, this is a piece that will hold more sentimental than material value and such disappointment is understandable. I do feel that damage like that is the fault of shipping rather than vending. On that note I also wanted to point out that the center blue stripe is an edition of 250 while all red stripes is 500. As reported here and confirmed through other vendors.I did receive the 500, all red stripe one shown in the photo. I got it in primo condition and I could not be happier with it. Cheap Deni 5111 Electric Ice-Cream Scoop with Nonstick Surface
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $32.99
Sale Price: $18.75

THis is a great way to get a serving of hard ice cream without wrenching one's wrist!! My mom gives them as gifts to her friends.
Apparently, over frozen ice cream is a real problem these days. There are throngs of people who forget to thaw the ice cream, and in a pinch, they need to scoop that stuff fast, else the party shall be in ruin. Or something like that.
So, enter this fun and exciting product that consists of a mildly heated scooper that promises to dig through the rock solid ice cream like a warm knife through butter. If only, my friend, if only.
First, it's big. Yes, my friend, you can wield this item like a barbarian with a heavy club as you attack your half gallon ice cream container. I mean, this thing is big. If you're under five foot four, you're better off hacking at the ice cream with a two handed broad sword. Ok, it's not THAT big, but believe me now when I tell you that small hands will find this scoop unwieldy.
Second, the heating element in this takes about as long to reach optimum temperature as it would take you to actually hand churn the ice cream. Understand that the goal of the product is not to actually get hot. That would melt the ice cream into a soupy mess. The goal isn't even to get warm, that would be somewhat useful. No, the goal is to get amusingly tepid to the point that if you let it heat up inside your hand, you won't be exactly sure if the item heated up on its own or whether your hands did all the warming.
Third, in the time that it takes for the item to heat up to optimum temperature your ice cream, which you should have taken from the freezer by now, is already in the process of thawing. So, lucky you, eventually you have a mildly slightly tepid scooper working at ice cream that is now reasonably thawed. Who is to say it actually did anything.
So, I tried it on ice cream straight from the freezer and guess what....it still took a Herculean effort to actually scoop ice cream. Hammer and Chisel plus one, tepid ice cream scoop, zero.
The scoops that are on the market that actually transfer your hand heat into the scoop are as effective, if not more so, because they can actually be held in your hand. This thing is just too big.
And once the ice cream is actually no longer hard frozen, the next problem you have is that the mildly tepid device then overperforms so that you end up with scoops that have soupy outsides. By this point, just use a regular scoop.
So, upwards of $50 for something that is too large, ineffective, and ultimately not so very useful is too much to spend on something that then takes up too much space in a drawer or cabinet.
Frankly, you're better off using a kitchen timer to ding when it's time for you to take the ice cream out of the freezer so it can thaw. Better yet, save the money on the timer and tie a strink to your finger as a reminder.

User Update: I realize that there are those who say that their aged mother or father really likes this item because they have arthritis or are too weak to scoop the ice cream. It still takes forever and a day to heat up and ultimately, waiting for the thaw achieves the same thing and is one less large item to clutter up mom or dad's drawer. But, to each his own.

I've also noticed trying to continue to use it even though it does not retain it's preset temperature is futile as it's bulky size does not make it a good scoop in the first place.
All in all I am extremely disappointed that this product was not further tested before releasing it on the public who then is forced to "beta test" this for them (manufacture).

this handy product eliminates the work of scooping hard ice cream or waiting for it to soften enough to easily scoop.Only problem is if there is a power failure. Of course if the power failure lasts long enough the ice cream will be plenty soft !!! The construction appears to be of good quality and should last a long time. We are pleased with this purchase.Best Deals on Deni 5111 Electric Ice-Cream Scoop with Nonstick Surface
Are you like me? Do you know darn well that you'll be serving ice cream after dinner but never seem to remove the ice cream from your freezer to that it can thaw to a reasonable scoopability? And do you then break out a hammer and chisel and begin to hack away at rock hard ice cream to the amusement of your friends as bits of mint chocolate chip fly about the kitchen as you feebiliy attempt to extricate enough ice cream for a single serving? Actually, I've never done that. What I do is just serve the cookies and bag the whole "let's have ice cream" altogether, but that's not important right now.Apparently, over frozen ice cream is a real problem these days.

As stated above I purchased this product in hopes that I could with more ease scoop out ice cream.............. I'm handicapped with only a left arm / hand. When I received the " Deni 5111 Electric Ice-Cream Scoop with Nonstick Surface " I plugged it in and notice it took considerable amount of time to heat up. When attempting to scoop out the ice cream it became immediately apparent that the electric scoop was simply too under-powered to scoop out the ice cream plus with every attempt it cooled too quickly which leads you to allow it to warm up again with every scoop.I've also noticed trying to continue to use it even though it does not retain it's preset temperature is futile as it's bulky size does not make it a good scoop in the first place.
All in all I am extremely disappointed that this product was not further tested before releasing it on the public who then is forced to "beta test" this for them (manufacture).
