Reviews of 2 in 1 Bladeless Hot & Cool Fan Heater with LCD Display
I have owned many fans in my time, and this one is the best. I was looking at Dyson bladeless fans and, although I was interested in the technology, they seemed to be very over priced. When I saw this fan using similar technology at a much better price, I thought I'd order it and give it a try. I am completely satisfied with the results; it's relatively quiet, and even so the air flow is powerful and spreads the moving air much wider than my old bladed fan ever did.

Buy Pro-Com Dual Fuel Blue Flame Wall Heater (MD100HBA)
I bought this for backup heat as our central furnace is very old and the pilot goes out occasionally. We also live in an area where power has been out for ten days twice in the past five years. Once I installed it, I decided to leave it on to save on heating bills. Now our 60% efficient furnace kicks on half as often saving us enough to pay for the heater. I set the thermostat just below that of the main and it keeps this small house tolerable even if we lose power in the middle of the night. The main furnace went out the other night and we didn't even realize it until lunch.
Just this week the oxygen depletion sensor started shutting it down. I reread the manual and realized I had never cleaned it which requires only a Phillips head screwdriver to take it apart, Windex to clean the surfaces, and a straw to blow the dust out of the burner. When the flames stay yellow on the tips it is time for a cleaning.
I am heating double the capacity. Good thing that is not so cold in California. Next winter I will buy the larger unit and we will use this unit in the smaller room. Got rid of the ceiling mildew problem due to an old fashion central floor heater in this uninsulated, turn of the last century, farm house. We added a vent high in the wall per instructions in order to circulate the heat and left the doors open.
It is hard starting on occasion. I thing that this is due to timing. If too much gas enters before ignition, the oxygen safety sensor kicks in. Usually, letting it rest a while will result in a start. The start button sticks from time too time. Good quality components inside and easy to switch to propane in an emergency.

Different dealers on Amazon where out of stock on this heater. Amazon referred one more and they were actually cheaper.I am heating double the capacity. Good thing that is not so cold in California. Tiger PVW-B30U Stainless Steel Vacuum Electric Water Dispenser Review

This is a nice water heater. At first I bought the similar Z-brand VE energy saving unit. Its problems were a AC cord that would constantly fall off and the built-in computer would error-fail every time the unit reached programmed temp; this would require a "reboot" to get it to respond again! The TIGER costs more by a few bucks and holds slightly less water. But it is NICE: The steam rarely flies out of the vents, there is so very little of it to waste heat. The computer is responsive and trouble-free. There is no need to "reboot" the bottle because it reheats only as needed and can discontinue heating to drop a few degrees, to save power. The power savings will add up greatly. I had several "Secura" heaters that were cheap in both price and quality. My Secura units, using distilled water, failed in 1-month, 14 months, and 15 months. The Tiger should outlast those units because the bottom is better insulated. That saves energy and prevents the heat from constantly abusing the electronic control module that sits beneath the water bottle in these water heater/dispensers. One note: the water can be pushed out in two ways: there are a pair of buttons on top, one to enable dispensing, and one to actually dispense; this is fairly standard. Then there is a lockable air-pump control so you can push out water manually if you are disconnected from AC power. Some high priced Z-brand water bottles lack the air pump button, so if you lose power, or take your bottle someplace, you cannot dispense!

The shovel is smaller than pictured and it does not go together the way they show. However, I really brought this for the brush which was well worth the price. I can sweep hot coals back into the fireplace and it does not melt. The hanging hook is really great as well. Get if you need a brush but not if you want a combo set.

The short handles are convenient for cleaning up when you're sitting by the hearth, and the hooks are handy. These were a great deal at $15, and they look OK and seem sturdy enough. But the workmanship is not great: many of the cuts, rivets, welds, etc. are rough or crooked.Best Deals on Blue Rhino UF Black Shovel And Brush Set Heaters

doesn't site nicely like in picture, top brush just kind of lays to the side of the first hook like they aren't really meant to go together.Saturday, July 12, 2014

So far I must say I love these register heaters. They seem to be well made, with nice heavy steal boxes that go into the wall space. I put them in to solve a nagging problem with a rental house I own; propane tank heat. The min. purchase from the dealer is currently $300.00 plus, and that lasts about one month during the winter. I can't get natural gas run, so I had to find an alternative, other than replace my whole central system with a heat pump. (EXPENSIVE!) The house is really small so a few well placed heaters can easily heat it. I bought two of these and wired them to a good line-in thremostat on the wall. When I finished all the wiring and installation and turned them on, Super! Nice sound, not too loud, certainly not as loud as my central system fan. I still have the propane heat monster for back up when the weather becomes really cold, but these should save the tenants gobs of money compared to the gas. I added baseboard heaters to the bedrooms for their soundless heat and a in-the-wall unit in the bathroom. All Cadet, a US company. Do the calculations on energy usage and cost, I was quite surprised how little extra it adds to the bill, and compared to my propane cost, which ran every tenant off after one year. The whole package of heaters and thermostats cost me about 1.5 times the minimum charge for propane, about the same as a half a tank. I would give it five stars, but I need to see how they are after a year.
I am an electrician by trade, so I have installed a number of electric heaters. This is by far the best most well made electric heater I have ever had my hands on. The case is thick metal. The heater is well made. Its great. Great quality, made in america. I can't say a bad thing about it. I am totally impressed.

I installed 3 of these in a basement remodel. I am driving all of them with a single thermostat and have adjusted them to match the heat requirements of each location. The ability to do this is great. Installation was very easy and they look clean. I went with these because I wanted to save the floorspace electric baseboard requires. Although the winter is over, they seem to put out a decent amount of heat but will have to wait untill fall to really know. The only thing is that they are bit louder than what I had expected. It is a hum it does not affect talking or watching TV but it is there. Probably I would not put one of these in a bedroom though.Saturday, May 3, 2014
Review of Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $27.99
Sale Price: $23.99
Today's Bonus: 14% Off

For 2 years I have worked in an office where war has been fought over the ambient temperature. Some like it cool and some like it very hot. I am a "like it cool" dude.
Now that spring is here, the war is back on this soldier is sick of fighting. I decided to buy a fan, but (darn) which one? It seems there are millions out there. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this fan.
It arrived and I was initially put-off by its small size. Don't let the small size fool you. This fan, on the slow speed, moves ample air and is whisper quiet. It does the job and does it well. Now I am not as warm and am uber content not being caught up in the temperature battles.
I do not recommend this Lasko if you sleep with a fan at night. It has 2 speeds and is too quiet at the lowest speed to provide the "white noise" that us urban dwellers around the world have come to rely on.
Overall, 2 thumbs up, way up, on this fan as an office companion
Pros:
1) QUIET
2) Moves ample air
3) Small and takes up little desk-top real estate
4) Attractive
5) Oscillates
Cons:
1) Not loud enough to sleep with (only a con if you want night noise)
Love the color, relatively compact size, and fan speeds. Low is great for desktop or personal fan as long as it's not blowing right on papers. Oscillation makes a good sweep too.
CONS
Too tall if you need this to fit under an overhead bin in an office cubicle. The machine also has a moderately-high pitched whir/whine that is louder than the sound of the air blowing. I returned the first one and the second one was quieter the first time I plugged it in, then just as noisy as the first one. I could hear the whir/whine from another room even on low speed. If your office is not super-quiet or you are not using this as white noise it's still a great choice. Otherwise I'd keep looking.
Check out the user images above for size comparisons.
There are only 2 buttons:
1st button 1) Power On/Hi 2) Low speed 3) Off
2nd button 1) Oscillation On 2) Oscillation Off
Pros:
+ Love its compactness.
+ Very light. Easy to move from room to room.
+ Generally more quiet operation than most fans.
+ Oscillating
+ Only around 23 watts
Cons:
If you need more wind power, look somewhere else.
Oscillating range is pretty limited. Maybe just around 10-25 degrees.
Made in China.
Quiet, good looking, powerful, takes up minimal space, and just an extremely well-designed and engineered product. It also can "oscilate" or swings back and forth slowly if you want it to. Nice going Lasko.
So quiet, on the "low" speed it's hard to hear that it is even on.
My only small complaint is that the indicator lights that show it is on are kind of bright if it's in your bedroom and all the lights are out, but I just put a small piece of tape on the switch light to tone down the brightness. During the day, or for office use, or for less sensitive people (which is most people) this is a non-issue.
I predict it will be the most popular fan in the world once the word catches on. So get yours now, show it to your friends and neighbors and they will get one too!

Buy Holmes HFH-5656-U Power Heater Fan
Got this to use in my office during the winter. The 1 touch button is completely annoying because you have to push it repeatedly to get what you want. And the thermostat settings do not work at all and the heater remains off when in the thermostat settings. This is frustrating because even the LO setting is to warm so I want it to just detect when to turn on and off automatically rather than me wasting time and constantly turning it on and off automatically. I am going to return this product ASAP and get a space heater with dual knobs.
Positives:
+ Reasonably priced
+ Can keep a bedroom plenty hot
+ The exhaust grill stays cool. I feel safe with it around my 3 year old, and felt safe with it around him when he was 2 (even let him play with it)
Negatives:
The one-button interface is a bit irritating. You need to push it a bunch of times to hit the temperature you need.
The thermostat is not very accurate, it's probably off by as much as ten degrees. I keep it on "80", when I really want 70. Sometimes when I want it hotter, I put it on "High", but that means that it stays on and never shuts off, and I end up overheated. I wish it had a setting for "90", so that I could get it to heat the room to 75.
I will probably buy a second unit, and would not feel bad recommending this to someone else. I bought several other space heaters that were more expensive, cheaper, more feature rich, etc., and ended up returning them in frustration because they all shared the common problem of burning whoever touched the grill. Having gone through so many others looking for a replacement, I have a greater appreciation for this little guy.

Dealyard send me a defective product and its definitely a used product. Upon following up with dealyard they are requesting me to contact Holmes as the product has still warranty!! Optimus H-5280 31-Inch Oscillating Quartz Radiant Tower Heater Review
Winter only happens once a year and is separated by many months that dull the memories of the bad heaters you bought in winters past. For the winter season of 2010/2011, I purchased two different Optimus heaters for my house, the H-7328 and the H-7318.
I bought both units at the same time in October, so they sat in their unopened boxes well past the time you could return them. When winter came I set my brand new heaters up. The 7318 rattled so bad I could barely hear myself think. And within days the 7328 stopped oscillating and started to smell like burnt wiring. By February neither unit functioned, both thermostats apparently didn't work anymore so the unit that would actually provide heat would stay on forever, even if the unit fell face down on the carpet. YIKES, talk about dangerous.
So in March when I went to throw these units in the garage, on top of the pile of totally useless things I have bought in years past, I noticed something odd. I reached down and dug out three old heaters from the year before. Apparently I bought an Optimus H-5280, an H-3013 and an H-5230.
So in two years I have purchased no less than five Optimus heaters of which only one still works as advertised, which only goes to prove one thing, I AM A COMPLETE IDIOT, for ever buying an Optimus product. If they don't fail to work at all, then they stand a good chance of burning you alive while you sleep.
one day I knocked it over. The thin glass heating element doesn't have any support except
for the top and bottom. I knocked it over and the element broke in the center.
I would have been good for the manufacture to add a couple supports along the length
of the element to support it. Buying a new tube is out of the question. Manufacture
wants you to ship it to them for repair. It's cheaper to buy a new heater.

I recently bought this heater for the purpose of warming my study which can get quite drafty in these winter months. I usually get by with just a coat and a glass of wine or two but my wife insisted I try to purchase something to keep me warmer as I am getting older and my breathing has been labored as of late. By the by I decided to purchase this heater based on its price and the virtues extolled by the maker. I must say I was not impressed, it has done little to heat the interiour of my study, this foolish device just sits in the middle of the floor and buzzes. The room has not heated at all and it seems it would get warmer if I would just burn the thing. All is not a complete waste though because it does make an interesting conversation piece when I invite fellows into my study to chat due to its futuristic look and flashy lighting. If only it worked better. Oh wellHonest reviews on Optimus H-5280 31-Inch Oscillating Quartz Radiant Tower Heater
