I used this device to control the christmas lights. Worked perfectly. The device is easy to setup. You need to make sure that you understand UPB. This won't work on its own.

I absolutely love the Simply Automated product lineup. You will not find any other product that allows more customization and configuration options. The UPStart software makes it a breeze to set them up. I am slowly replacing every switch in my house with a Simply Automated UPB device. I currently have 28 devices and I'm about to buy my 29th. It's becoming an addiction. These devices are rock solid. I have never had one fail. I use them in conjunction with my HAI Omni IIe automation system. However, they also work great as a stand-alone system. If you plan to install a bunch of these as I have, I highly recommend some sort of whole-house surge suppressor.
