Reviews of Stonegate® Old Country Fireplace and Small Cabinet Black
I really wanted a corner fireplace, I already have an amish fireplace, so I ordered stonegate Corner Fireplace. When it arrived, it had so many parts, and not good directions, and when we DID start to screw pieces together, the whole thing fell apart. I paid $300 for this? My husband went to the hardware store and bought screws that would hold together, it took 2 1/2 hrs to get it together after we figured out how and used store bought screws that worked. I was very disappointed in this product for the price I paid for it. It is together and in my kitchen, but the pressed board like material that they gave us for this was very poor, I would not recommend it to anyone until they refamp the material and get better directions and materials that will hold this fireplace together. List Price: $189.00

Seems like a great product and value. However, they made the shelves too close together. It does hold the smallest bottles of wine, but many "Standard" bottles (Dancing Bull, Rancho Zabbaco, etc) don't fit unless they are jammed in and then you can't get them back out without unloading the whole thing. Don't waste your time and get a model that is more versatile. As if insult to injury, the thermostat didn't work either but that was probably a fluke.
I tried contacting Amazon, who pointed me in the direction of the manufacturer, who of course, did not bother responding.
I am very disappointed and do not recommend this product. I will never purchase from this manufacturer again.
I gave it 2 stars because it was relatively quiet and compact.

I bought this wine cooler after reading some good reviews. It was a complete waste of time and money, the wine cooler worked for about 4 hours and then this uncontrolled beeping noise would continueoulsy play. I unplugged the unit and tried resetting it but the noise was still there when I plugged it back in. I called the company and all they said was it might be the control board. How does a wine cooler die after 4 hours.Best Deals on Sunpentown WC-1271 ThermoElectric 12-Bottle Slim Wine Cooler
My boyfriend bought this wine refrigerator for me as a birthday gift on a total whim. It was a fantastic, unexpected present and has so far worked perfectly for me. I've never owned a wine cooler previous to this one, but I do live in a smaller apartment, so it's compact size is exactly what I needed. As another review stated, the shelves are kind of close together preventing the BIGGER wine bottles from fitting side-by-side, however all standard wine bottles will fit. I tend to buy the larger bottles of Barefoot Moscato, in which case I simply remove one shelf for the time being. Personally, I'm not at the point where I've collected dozens of wines and will RARELY have more than 12 bottles at one time to fill this fridge anyway. All in all, it's a fantastic product that chills wines perfectly and fits just about anywhere. :)Honest reviews on Sunpentown WC-1271 ThermoElectric 12-Bottle Slim Wine Cooler

I had this wine cooler for about 6 months before the temperature control stopped working and would not go below 68 degrees. I thought maybe the room was too warm, so I refrigerated a few bottles to see if it would at least maintain the current temperature, but within a few hours, those bottles were warm as well.I tried contacting Amazon, who pointed me in the direction of the manufacturer, who of course, did not bother responding.

Reviews of SEI Narita Media Console with Electric Fireplace
First off, I would like to point out that I shopped both online and in stores for an electric fireplace for months. When I finally decided on this one, I still thought hard about it for weeks before I actually placed my order. This is the first time that I have ever ordered furniture online and I was very nervous about not seeing the product before making my purchase, but the other reviews had me convinced and the price was unbeatable anywhere else I looked (including Big Lots). So I ordered it, and I have had it three months now.
Shipping:
My new media console and fireplace arrived at my house (in Indiana) only a few days after I placed my order. It arrived in two very large, very heavy packages. One package contained the materials for the console itself and the other, which had "FRAGILE" written in large letters across it was the electric fireplace. There are many different pieces to the cabinet itself, so I recommend doing what I did which was opening the box somewhere with plenty of room, and laying out each piece to ensure that everything had been included (and to ensure that nothing had been damaged). Everything that was supposed to be included was there and intact.
Assembly:
Obviously, the console itself has to be assembled. The assembly wasn't difficult (as I am a 25 year old woman who did it by myself), but it is time consuming, taking about three hours to complete (although I took my time). The hardware didn't seem cheap to me and every major piece is fit with several wood dowels to help guide the pieces together perfectly. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND TAKING YOUR TIME!!! The pieces are designed to go together in a very specific order and once they have been locked together, it is almost impossible to take them apart again. This means that if you forget a step, you could be in big trouble. The instructions aren't super descriptive so read a couple of times to make sure you understand what you are doing. There is an optional support piece that is supposed to go in the middle of the shelf to help prevent the top piece from bowing if you have a somewhat heavy tv. I would recommend putting it in during assembly if you have a tv any larger than about 36 inches as I have already seen one review where the person didn't use the support piece, and his did bow under the weight of his tv. Once it was completed, I was however pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the unit was once it was constructed.
Product Review:
I did want to mention that the firebox itself isn't as deep as the cabinet is. This makes for a nice place in the back of the unit to put your power strip for all of your electronics so that you can place the cabinet flush against the wall without leaving an unsightly gap between the unit and the wall. It was a pleasant surprise. As I mentioned before, most of the main pieces of the unit are real stained wood and those that are not are still stained well to match the real wood pieces. Occasionally I go over the entertainment stand with wood polish, which brings out the nice espresso color in the wood. The unit itself is a beautiful, uniform color and is very sturdy considering that it was assembled. I love the cabinet space and width of the unit.
If you want a fireplace that looks like real fire, get a real fireplace. I spent a lot of time looking at these when I was shopping around and contrary to a couple of the reviews, I think the fire looks better than many of the electric fireplaces that I have seen (including several nice hotels that I have stayed at). I'm sure that they do make more realistic electric fireplaces, but you won't find any around this price, I've looked. The fire consists of varying shades of yellow and orange, but to me, the movement of the flames is about as as realistic as any I've seen. The brightness of the logs can be adjusted as well as the brightness/level of the fire, which is nice when you want the fire to seem low or when you are trying to watch a movie on the tv and you don't want the brightness of the fireplace to be distracting. I have a fairly small living room, so I can feel the heat from the heater on the couch when it is at medium setting, but I could see where it probably wouldn't heat a larger room by itself. In my case however, the space heater in the unit adds a nice warmth to the room (sometimes too warm). The remote control allows you to change the brightness of the logs and the fire, and to turn the heater off or on, but the thermostat for the heater must be adjusted on the firebox itself.
After three months of having this product, I must say that I am in love with it. With all of the features, I really feel like I got lots of "bang for the buck". It adds a very welcoming glow and warmth to my living room and I get compliments on it every time I have company. For the price, definitely five stars.
The only con I have is the flame is only amber. I could not really tell it was amber only in the picture. Come on guys...couldn't you have put a little red in there to mix up the colors?! It is obvious it is not a real flame...which is what I want...but the amber only color makes it a little less comfy when lit.

I really like this piece. The unit is very solid and a beautiful finish on the wood. The instructions were very good and was easy to assemble without a hitch. The console arrived in two boxes. One (console)weighing in at 98lbs., and the second (fire box) weighing in at 38lbs. The console arrived completely in pieces with all screws and parts necessary to put it together. The instructions I would not rate for a beginner as they are not well displayed. It took six hours to put the console together but everything was there and the wood was not fiber board stuff you commonly find at IKEA. Once put together it is a very solid piece of furniture, but I was concerned when I saw the IKEA type screws to hold certain sections of the wood together. The firebox is all one piece and slides in to the finished assembled console with a wood block and screws to keep it in place. I found this to still keep the firebox loose and added two small wood screws up against the back of the firebox to help keep it more snug. Once it was all setup with my television components I plugged in the fireplace and turned it on. The heat unit works great and will nicely supplement the heat in the winter for this one bedroom apartment in Portland, Oregon. The flame and log functions all work great although I was disappointed that the logs didn't better resemble more red coals burning around the logs with instead being the same colors as the flame (yellow/orange). It was not worth taking the whole thing apart to send it back, but a better close-up picture of the flame and logs would be great for future purchasers. Overall I am pleased with the size and dimensions of this console/fireplace. However, next time I pay this kind of price for something like this I will buy one assembled and working before I make the purchase. I give this product a four star rating because of the wood, glass in the doors, and the solid construction after it was assembled.Honest reviews on SEI Narita Media Console with Electric Fireplace
We received this yesterday and put it together in a few hours. I expected the quality to be a bit better for the price, but all the same it looks great. We had looked at the Espresso model but opted for this lighter color so glad we did. Some reviewers on the espresso model stated that they were unhappy with the flame because there wasn't enough color variation, but we are very happy with it. We have wanted an electric fireplace for a long time, since we can't have the real thing. This would probably warm up our bedroom if it were in that room with the door closed, but we have this in our living room near a stairway and kitchen so we didn't notice a big difference in the overall warmth of the room. However, we have only had it for one day. Standing in front of it with the heat on high, it definitely puts out good heat though so we'll see after extended use how that goes. Would definitely recommendFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for SEI Narita Media Console with Electric Fireplace
If you have seen fireboxes in stores and thought they looked good, dont buy this one. The firebox is no where near what you will see in stores. This is not a good Dimplex type firebox that you might get otherwise. It looks terrible. The logs look bad, doesnt resemble a fire much at all, you dont see flames, just weird glowing light. The dimplex insert is soo much nicer and this is not that. The furniture part is nice, but the firebox is horrible. Also the motor in the firebox makes a loud annoying sound and causes vibrations in the unit. Not Recommended.Saturday, July 26, 2014

This heater is surprisingly quiet. I am impressed. It's not as flashy as more expensive heaters but the performance is just as good as any other 1500w heater out there. Living in MN I've pretty much tried every type of space heater. I've used other heating coil fan style heaters, radiator, micathermic, quartz, and ceramic tower heaters. This is one of the least expesive space heaters that I've bought and it performs very well. It's hard to find a good heater that's quiet at any price point, let alone one with a digital thermostat that functions correctly. This one is a winner. It has a 3 yr. warranty which seems to be pretty standard with most space heaters. FYI I actually bought this at Target for a little cheaper (paid the same with tax) and plan on purchasing a second one.

This seemed like a great by reduce energy use, put out some heat, and cool to the touch, as it was going in my 2 yr old's room. First unit arrived, worked great! Heated room, cool to touch, and didn't need to run constantly. After about a week of very limited use it stopped working. Seemed to be a control malfunction, would display, but not turn on. OK, defective unit. Sent it back, got the replacement quickly. Worked great FOR ONE DAY! It now powers on, puts out a weird spark on the coil, heats for 4 seconds then clunks out. Doesn't seem safe and doesn't work. Either they have terrible quality control or something is wrong with their design, because I can't believe a company could put out a product that fails this miserably. Fool me once... It's getting returned now, off to look for something similar that works (kind of the baseline requirement).Best Deals on Holmes HEH8031-UM Energy Saving Heater Fan
This is the perfect heater to heat one room. We use it in our bathroom before taking a shower. I like the digitial controls which are very easy to read. If you want something that is cool to the touch, this will work. Unfortunately though, that means it does not put out a lot of heat. I put my feet right up against it on high, and it was not hot. The air was warmer than the room, but not hot. If you leave it on all day it may heat up the room, but I need to turn it on when I get to work and it would not be warm by the time I have to leave.Thursday, July 24, 2014

I received the True Induction Cooktop within the promised shipping time. I knew that most of my stainless steel cookware was non-magnetic and not suitable for induction cooking. I have two cast iron frying pans, one is 10" and the other is 14" in diameter. I tested the cooktop with the 10" pan (which seemed to be the optimum size for this unit) but the cooktop only blinked its display indicating an error condition. I then tried the 14" pan and was able to get it to heat the pan. I put an inch of water in the pan to test the size of the heating area. I was very disappointed to discover that the diameter of the boiling area was only about 4". This cooktop was listed as being suitable for pans up to 10" in diameter but I never could find an actual specification that described the size of the induction element that is used. I concluded from my testing that this unit uses a ~4" coil like the other low-end units that sell for half of the price of this one. I sent the unit back and received a full refund including my shipping both ways. I subsequently purchased a 30" Bosch induction cooktop which has one element described as 11". It creates a boiling pattern at least 11" across in my 14" pan. My main complaint is that the True Induction cooktop literature is not specific about the actual size of the heating zone and the impression is created that it differs from lower-end units by having a larger heating zone.
All of that said and done it works well. Its at least as fast to boil water as a gas stove and whatever heat level you pick it gets there very quickly. Having had a chance to use conmercial units a couple of times, has caused me to have very high expectations though. I cannot give it the five stars many others have given it. Its pretty good but it could be better.
It looks modern enough to leave out in my kitchen so it's ready to use but compact enough to store in the pantry. I already had stainless steel cookware so I don't need any special pans to use on it.
It has other uses besides my intended use.

Before ordering this I read reviews on pretty much all of the induction hot plates I could find. All others fell short in one way or another. This one seemed to be the best choice. So I ordered it. It does pretty much everything its advertised to do. I really like it for the most part. The controls are all very light touch based. It took me several days of experimenting with various touches to get to the point where I could get the controls to respond with out lots of extra touching. This was anoying. The fan in the unit is also very loud when its running. The temurature control really only allows you to pick 10 levels of heat reguardless of whether you are in the tempurature or intensitiy mode. All of that said and done it works well. We ordered this only after the Chef Todd Single Burner (from HSN) went defunct after one use and there was a problem in sending in back. So we gave up and went on a search for a better one, and did we find it! Heats beautiful, great timer and temperature setting functions. It arrived quickly and well packed. REceived notification by e mail that this company received our registration. Keep in mind it is an induction plat so not all pans will work on it. But we are very pleased at this purchase. Would do it all over again!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for True Induction Energy Efficient Single Burner Induction Cooktop
We are building a new energy efficient solar powered home and an induction stove top is the obvious way to go. I purchased this single burner induction cooktop to check out induction cooking as I had not had any experience of it and wanted to try it out before taking the plunge to by the full size stovetop. Well I am very happy so far, I love it it is as fast as using the microwave and it is clean and efficient. We find that we are using it in preference to the regular electric stove top in our apartment. The timer feature is something I hope the full size stovetop I purchase will also have. (It prevents me from burning pans dry!).Saturday, July 12, 2014
Buy Dimplex RFI8 Commercial Fan-Forced Wall Heater
I would like to warn anyone who wants to buy Dimplex Wall Heaters period, "don't". I bought 3. Two for my home and one for a friend's home. All three work and preform the exact same way, Terrible. You half to turn the thermostat all the way up to get it to come on when its cold. They then continually go off and on, off and on. On for about eight minutes each time. They don't stay on heating but about maybe five minutes, which does not heat the room at all. Like I said all 3 work just alike. Now one of them will not go off period unless I turn the knob all the way off. Because they keep going off and on continually for a short period of time the heater does not put enough heat out to warm the room. The heaters should since the room temperature before they go off so that when it gets warm, then cut off. But not so. Please do not buy Dimplex heaters thinking they will warm your house. Made only, I repeat only for indoor spaces, whether placed in a vestibule, entrance way, stairwell, kiosk, or other area subject to cold drafts and at that I can't see how they would work.
I am having to buy another brand called Q-Mark which is made to heat a 480 square foot room. I since then I have done a lot of research on wall heaters and found Q-Mark to be one of the top brands. Just cut my loses and move on. Like they say live and learn sometimes the hard and expensive way.

The only issue I have is the dial on the heater unit doesn't indicate temperature, so you have to guess where to set the dial for the proper temperature. Other than that, a great unit.

Two days after I received this stove, it started to malfunction. Since I'm not at all interested in burning my house down, the stove has been sitting in a corner since January 18th, while I've been trying in vain to contact the manufacturer. I've tried email, phone calls, their useless customer service portal and even their facebook page. Based on comments on facebook, I am far from the only person who is dealing with faulty products and a complete lack of customer service. The seller did respond to my email immediately and contacted the manufacturer on my behalf, but I still have had no resolution to this problem.
Update 02/20/2012: I want to note that that seller, Electric Fireplaces Direct, took care of my problem by providing a replacement stove that arrived today. I appreciate this, since this was a manufacturer's warranty issue and not a problem with the seller or shipper. I never did receive any contact from the manufacturer and will make a point of not purchasing any products from that company in the future.
Update 03/28/2012: The second stove stopped working. The "flames" work, the heat does not. This stove is in a home office and is only plugged in and turned on for an hour or so in the morning (and not every morning) to take the chill off, so it's not as if it's been used and abused. After the hassle of trying to warranty the first one, I don't know if it's even worth trying to warranty this piece of junk. For anyone wondering about the cost of using this heater to heat a room, my experience is that, excluding electricity, it costs about $120 a month plus a heater to dispose of. I'm not happy.
Wonderful! This is the second DuraFlame that I have purchased, with a third for fireplace insert, on its way. This burgundy one is now sitting in the corner of the kitchen awaiting the chilly winds of WI. The kitchen feels chilly to me and I've always had a portable heater in the corner. This is lovely and I'm sure it will perform as has the one from last year and still going. Came in great time and well packaged. This has been a great company with which to do business.

Two days after I received this stove, it started to malfunction. Since I'm not at all interested in burning my house down, the stove has been sitting in a corner since January 18th, while I've been trying in vain to contact the manufacturer. I purchased this for Christmas and it shipped fast and damage free! It looks nice for a small electric heater although it heats only the size of a average bedroom nice on HIGH non stop. My power bill tripled after running it for a month so now it sits completely shut off. Keep in mind if you purchased this that it's expensive to use for heat.Best Deals on Duraflame DFS-550CRN Freestanding Electric Stove with Remote Control
We purchased this stove mostly for the look of a fire without the trouble of an actual stove Turned on it gives heat needed to remove the chill of winter while giving us the entertainment of a fire.Honest reviews on Duraflame DFS-550CRN Freestanding Electric Stove with Remote Control
I chose this heater because it is Duraflame but very disappointed in the quality of the product. It looks great, has remote to turn it on and off, control the flame presentation and does put out good heat. But, it has a very annoying fan whir, much louder than our old stove of another brand. Also, when I turned it on, white light flashes were visible coming out the back of the stove in several places. I am still considering returning it. I could not recommend to friends.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Duraflame DFS-550CRN Freestanding Electric Stove with Remote Control

Reviews of Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
I noticed my other oil burner didn't heat up the water well with fans going in the room. The tea candle was open to the breeze flowing in the room.I bought this one since it can shield the candle from the breeze. It works for that. The water reservoir is sufficient for a four hour tea candle also, even though it looks small.

I was amazed how few aromatherapy oil disperser models that are out there, and then to find one that is stylish and not looking too flowery or gothic. Hey, all you need is one and I found it! Super pricing, stylish and there the 'we'll' at the top is about 2 inches deep and held enough water and oil for a tealight candle. I love the fact I can disperse beautiful and relaxing oil in my home. Time to relax!Best Deals on Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
This thing is so simple. I have the black one and it's got a generous room for the candle and the oils on top. The only flaw is, it gets really hot so if you want to move it, you'll need a towel to pick it up. I also like the fact that the candle has it's own place and it's not just an open flame with an oil bowl just hanging on it. It's all one nice piece.Honest reviews on Candle Warmers Etc. I used to put my essential oil on top of my space heater, but I thought getting one of these would be a little more elegant. I love it, but it is so much stronger, you only need one drop of oil (diluted in water). I had no problem with several drops on my heater, but the same amount in this makes the aroma overpowering. Use sparingly and you will quite enjoy this little warmer.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
I am addicted to fragrance oils and more comfortable to leave these burning as I'm going from room to room (or before bed) compared to candles. I was using a more squat and wide warmer but this seems to do better on the oils lasting. The oil part at the top is quite deep and no worries about spills. I am using three of them in my own home and I also think it would make a nice gift.
