I bought this 3 years ago and it has worked really wel... that is until I went to fire it up this fall (what would be it's 3rd year of operation).

The fuel pump had issues after a bunch of work it's ok again... but the unit itself is showing signs of use (as in the front metal diffuser plate is just about melted through) this will certainly be the last winter for this unit.

Pros: has been reliable, lights quickly, minimal smoke and soot

COns: single speed, loud, not tri-fuel, difficult to refuel

In the end I'd recommend and re buy this unit it's cheaper than others and has served me very well to heat a shop/barn for 2 long Upstate NY winters.

There are plenty of heaters like this out in the marketplace, but few are as compact as this, which is advantageous when using it in a small garage. It's a snap to use and moves about easily when placed on a small mover's dolly so it can be positioned where one needs it. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it and highly recommend it.

This was my second purchase of the same unit in 5 years. The first had finally worn out with a bad fan bearing and a cracked heater plate following 5 winters of nearly constant use. Pound for pound, this is the best portable kerosene heater on the market. It kicks out 70,000 BTU's in a small very quiet package. We run this inside an enclosed outdoor patio of 800 square feet. We're able to enjoy a warm climate controlled space through the winter months without shouting over the noise of a loud heater. There is virtually no kerosene smell and best of all, this sells for a very reasonable price. This unit is highly recommended.

great item if you want to use kerosene (about 4.29 a gallon in MN). Kind of hard to fuel but using the correct funnel will help.
