It works but burns out rather quickly. Also its a small flame. It is more for looks and doesn't really provide any heat.

I have used this fuel for years and have never had any issues or problems. It says not to use it in firepots, but that's all I do with it. I think its just a safety thing saying severe burns could result, but that's true whenever your using fuels right? It is a thick gel consistency that lights easily with a lighter or match.

The Real Flame Gel is safe to use and gives you a crackling sound when burning which provides the best type of fuel to use for that realistic fire pit experience. Real flame appearence and crackling sound comes with an expense. I found 91% isopropyl alcohol to work but it does not make any sound and is a liquid which must be handled carefully when filling the two trays.
