Really beautiful high quality dark cherry (and heavy) furniture which enhances the room even when not turned on. The flames are surprisingly much more realistic than I expected but the glowing coals in front appear to lack depth and consequently realism. Heater works well to add secondary heat to a medium sized room but fan can be a bit noisy.
The remote control is very small and works only when it wants to.
Assembly took an hour or so. Assembly Instructions understandable (and also available on line). Ships in two boxes; one for the mantel (this is the part that must be assembled) and one for the electric flame/heater box.
This identical piece is also know as Pleasant Hearth Macomb Electric Fireplace depending on the vendor (ie BJs).

Discount Dayton 3VU36 Electric Heater With Thermostat
Claims of 19,000 BTU are greatly exaggerated. My garage is 400 sq ft and has 240v service. A $40 Home Depot heater does almost as good a job. Two $40 Home Depot heaters do a much better job than the L5600. This heater would probably do 150 sq ft easily. 200+ sq ft might be a stretch if it's in a cold area. I'm surprised Dayton would put their name on this heater.

heaters to heat my garage. Please note that if you use two
1500 watt 110 volt heaters (in my case Vornado's) on the same circuit you
will probably have problems with the circuit breaker tripping. Also my electrical sub panel would get hot. I have also used a Reddy Heat 35,000 BTU propane heater to heat my garage.The reddy Heat propane heater is almost as loud as a Jet Engine. OK so on one hand the Dayton heater is noisier than a Vornado, and does not heat as fast as a propane heater. On the other hand the Dayton heater is quiter than a propane heater,(and does not burn up oxygen like a propane heater) and will heat an area faster than two Vornado's (which by the way, two heaters will beat up on your houses electrical wiring). All in all I am very Happy with the performance of my Dayton heater, my sub panel now gets warm instead of hot. Air circulation is better than a Vornado, and my Dayton heater heats my garage ALMOST as fast as a Propane heater. I would recommend this heater.

Bought this heater and all works great , but on hitting the wall the simple little thermostat broke. My problem is Dayton, grainger, etc. does not have the parts for this unit..If u find it for me, ill give u 10 bucks..They say they dont offer parts for this unit..So im stuck modifying it..BS!!!!!

Review of Holmes HM2409-U Comfort Select Cool Mist Humidifier
I don't get why people don't like this. We own 3! One for each bedroom. It's perfect. Note we DON'T use the automatic mode. I simply set it to low all night. You can also do high. Low isn't loud enough for the baby's room so we do high. We need LOTS of white noise so the kids can't hear anything and wake up. It's easy to fill. You do have to push the button a lot of times to get to the low setting, but it's easy. Always use with an anti-mold liquid for each filling.
We tried a filter free kind before and YUCK! FILTERS ARE THERE FOR A REASON.
With this humidifier, I can actually sleep. A day when I forget to turn it on (rare)?? I wake up with dry skin and mouth. So, it works!!!
Also, the price is right. I had an old Kaz I loved but after 6 years of nearly 24/7 use it was so dusty I feared a fire hazard. So we got this one.
The negatives of this humidifier are as follows:

The Holmes HM2409-U is fairly loud on either hi or lo setting... It's a constant noise so you get used to it and can sleep through it but at first you'll definitely notice it. Like other reviewers have said, the automatic sensing mode is useless. It cycles on and off for 3 seconds which gets extremely annoying and probably does nothing to humidify.
For $30 this humidifier is worth it, I just leave it on the Lo setting with my bedroom door closed and it works fine, 1 full water tank is half empty by the morning.

This humidifier is amazing! I have it in my baby's room and it makes such a difference with his congestion. I even slept in his room because I had a bad cold and couldn't sleep due to my sore throat, it was truly amazing! I've had this unit for two years and it has performed quite well. In a very large room on a 45% humidity setting the entire room has stayed between 40-45% relative humidity. There is also a small filter-flow indicator that detects if the airflow through the filter has changed indicating the need for a new filter. This humidifier does the job it's intended to do (humidify). It works well in a 15 X 15 room, and it's easy to fill and operate. It is a hassle however to get through all the settings to choose the one you want (have to click the button each time to cycle through) however to turn it off in the day time just hold the button and it shuts off, next press turns the humidifier on to the previous setting.The negatives of this humidifier are as follows:

It's OK in manual mode, but the so-called automatic mode where it's supposed to sense the humidity and cycle on or off accordingly is a joke. First of all, it didn't even go on in auto-mode until I had it cranked up to 55% desired humidity, and the room is as dry as a bone. Then after going on, it would turn off after about two minutes, turn on for literally a second, and so on. Hardly an effective way to humidify a room. Since we desired something we could "set and forget" for the baby's room, this doesn't work accordingly, and will be returned immediately.Also, although it is fairly simple for someone of average intelligence to figure out, there is nothing in the manual about how to fill the tank! I do wood working a unheated attached garage 20'x24', this item works fine for my 2 car garage, heats up quickly to take chill off.
