Waterbed heater reliability is important, because when a heater fails, you have to drain the water to replace the heater. I had exactly that experience, and bought this unit as a replacement. This heater seems to be a high quality device, and I am pleased so far. It appears to be made in Sweden.

I use waterbed heaters to heat 180 gallons of solution (about the same for a king sized waterbed) in my floatation tanks for my business. I have now purchased 3 from this company and each one works great and I haven't had one go out yet.

We have a king size waterbed and our heater went out. I purchased one of these models and it didn't heat up at all so the sent me a replacement heater. Then the one they sent me heated up just a little so I am disappointed in this brand. It may have worked on a smaller bed but will not heat up the 235 gallons in the king size mattress. Nothing like sleeping in a cold bed. So nothing like draining the water the 3rd time for another heater.

Amazon needs a negative star rating. I purchased this unit 2 or 3 years ago and it never seemed to heat right. I am very disgusted with this product. I have owned waterbeds for over 20 years and never had a heater give me so much trouble. Don't buy this brand unless you like sleeping on cold water.

We live in Texas and don't need a heater to much so when ours broke 10 years ago we desided not to replace it !!! But we just changed our mattress and got this heater and leave it on a low setting and seems to be working great !!!
