i unwrapped the heater, made sure it was on 0 as per instructions, started to put the plug in and there was a loud POP!, burning smell, part of the metal part of the plug melted and it was blackened. didn't even get the plug in more than a centimeter. wasn't the socket, b/c that still worked (for my air conditioner--a dedicated outlet) right after. am sending it right back! it really should be given zero stars.

Sending it back. A little bit too audible of an air flow sound for my cubicle environment. Should be fine for home use.

Hi. I bought this Boston Ceramic Space Heater, black (25962) October 13, 2012. It quit workinhg on HI about a week and a half ago. (Until then it worked very well). That's about four months of being happy with the product. I had a milk house heater type that worked very well for years. So I almost bought another one. I should have. Don't buy this Boston ceramic heater. I am exceedingly disappointed! Thanks, Richard

It was a little smaller than what I had anticipated, but it is perfect for my small bathroom. I don't have ventilation in the bathroom, and this heater dries out the humidity in it.
