For the misinformed, this is not a ceramic style heat (Not immediate). Rather this will warm the space over time with a much more natural warmth that will fill the entire space and not dry out the air. I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY OUTDOOR SHOP, EVEN WITH IT TURNED ON ALL NIGHT MY LITTLE SHOP WAS STILL FREEZING!! I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO WORK IN THE WARMTH, PLEASE NOTE MY SHOP IS INSULATED AND THE TEMPS GET DOWN IN THE 30'S..HAD TO BUY AND ADDITIONAL HEATER.
