I have used one of these units for about eight months, and it performs as advertised. I also have a lesser valued IH cooktop, that does not work as well. My complaint is that no where in the product reviews in any of these IH cooktops, does it give the slimmest explanation of what's 'under the hood'. How many elements are hidden beneath the glass top, or where,exactly, they are located. This is like buying a car, without any idea of how many cylinders it has, or what else might be included, or lacking. The manufacturers are getting away with grand and glorious words to describe their products, with nothing to back up their claims.This item is great. Take it outside for boiling seafood, making stews, soups etc and not messing up the kitchen.
